“Nirvana Soul Coffee is a pretty nice little spot to grab a bite and coffee (even later in the evening). They have a solid amount of inside space to sit while you enjoy your food or drinks. They even have a top floor loft area with a skylight.Their lattes have a strong flavor and sweetness, which is just how I like it, but if you don’t like sweet drinks, you may not want to go for their fancy signature drinks. The only downside is that street parking in the area can be a real pain.“
“Stopped by Sunday afternoon to check this place out and took advantage of their buy 5 get 1 free deal because I like to get two drinks for myself! Great ambiance, decor, and music. Love the mirror in front of the flower wall to make sure you look on point! The drinks we ordered were the strawberry matcha latte, butterfly lemonade, Thai milk tea, peach green tea and a basic jasmine tea. Jasmine was very simple with no sweetener. I like that. The milk used in most of their drinks are lactose free friendly, so you know what won't happen The peach green tea was sweet but still good. If you like a tarty lemonade, the butterfly lemonade is perfect for you. My bf and his son loves it. The strawberry matcha was delicious the matcha was not overpowering and had the perfect amount of strawberry flavor in it. The Thai milk tea was sweet but not too sweet. My stepson enjoyed his sweet brown sugar matcha. Soooo we popped in for six more drinks yesterday night. Only this time I changed ordered haidee's perfect matcha instead of the Thai milk tea. I wanted to try something different. Service was great and staff was friendly! Only con is the sweetness and ice level options.“
“Honestly, there’s many places in San Jose you can get great coffee, but here’s why I always come to the San Pedro Voyager1) the customer service. I actually got caught off guard when the barista asked how my day was going because I’m so accustomed to the robotic baristas at Philz that just at scowl at you when you come up to the register. It really feels like the baristas here genuinely want to make you feel at home.2) Lots of seating which is usually rare at popular coffee shops. Being in SP Square means you can easily grab some good food if you need a lunch break and don’t want to move your car.3) Free cup of coffee with unlimited refills if you buy a bag of whole beans.4) Free 90 minutes of parking without the need of validation.Only downside of this place is that it can sometimes feel like a McDonald’s play land with how many parents let their kids run around screaming. And on weekdays, lot of people taking zoom calls and having meetings, so I’d recommend a good pair of noise cancelling headphones“
“My new favorite place to go in San Jose! I live an hour northeast of this place and I will gladly drive down with my family to enjoy great food here. I tried this place for the first time on Tuesday with my friend and then came back with my family and friends on Sunday. We loved it and the server was kind enough to let my family taste their ube waffle for free! Love their food and service! Thank you Duy! It was great chatting with you and learning a little bit on how you started the business. Wish you and your wife much more success. Also, wishing you can open a bigger location and possibly multiple locations in the very near future ?“
“Love the flakyness of the empanadas, great flavours love the mole and chicken one.I feel like they could definitely toast the empanadas a bit more though so they're not too soft.Of the sweet ones, I liked the guava empanada. Not the friendliest of staff though but I'm guessing they were just tired?I'll be back to try the cochinita pibil one.“
“This place is awesome. Found it across the street from my hotel so location was perfect for me. If I were a local I would put this on my regular stop. The servers were super friendly and attentive. The food was super yummy and my drink was spot on.Lots of seating inside and plenty of parking outside. This is a great place.“
“Came here for a small dessert bite. Their almond croissant was amazing! They also have complimentary homemade warm apple cider when we went and it was great. Probably just a special item for October.I just wish their seating is a bit nicer. I would've come here every weekend, get some nice pastries and drinks, and read a book. ?“
“So glad to have discovered this place. There’s a wide range of hand pour options available. Tried the yellow fruit and the notes is obviously on the acidic side which is perfect with its rich, distinct floral aroma. They also sell a variety of roasted beans. Comfortable seating by the window inside. Definitely coming back for more tasting!“
“Not a lot of seating but it’s a cute little corner shop that it’s nice to visit! Grabbed their mango matcha latte and it was spot on. Very fruity and flavorful and refreshing like a helpful worker mentioned. They also offer pastries and croissants of different flavors like pistachio, ham & cheese, butter, chocolate. Would need to come back to try one.Parking is street parking or garage parking two blocks down from the shop.“
“I heard from a buddy it was the best doughnut shop in the area (he's a bit of a connoisseur) and I totally agree. It's our go-to now when we want doughnuts.Parking: 10ish spots. It's popular and some cars were double parked. I don't know if you can park at nearby locations. I said difficult, but it hasn't been too hard if you time it right.“
“Ube coffee and peanut butter latte were delicious with homemade creams and authentic, strong Vietnamese coffee. Great rotating draft beer selection including humble sea and 450 north. Super friendly staff and lively atmosphere. Highly recommend checking out if you're in San Jose.“
“My first time visiting this cafe and I ordered Dirty Thai Iced Tea. I am Thai and I gotta say it was delightful with strong tea flavored! Thai Tea part was good and even better with the combination of fresh espresso shot! Now I don’t want just normal Thai Tea but Dirty Thai Tea from now on! Lol LOVE IT!!!“
“I've been wanting to visit this cafe for a while, and I finally had the chance last weekend. It's conveniently situated near SJSU with ample street parking. The atmosphere inside is cozy, and they offer a diverse selection of beverages and pastries. As someone who's particular about coffee, I always go for a latte when trying out a new cafe, and theirs was delicious--I even purchased a bag of their coffee beans. We also tried the ham & cheese and pistachio berry croissants, which were equally delightful!I would come back again!“
“Wow. I will be back to buy their beans. My God that was an excellent cup of coffee. Got the Ethiopian pourover and it was extracted _perfectly_. Lemon-y, citrus, sweet flavours with a more tea-like body, but still great mouthfeel. I enjoyed it so much. The location is a bit small. It's got the coffee shop vibes but might not be the best for staying and working. Great spot for a quick grab and go though!Love this spot, would highly recommend!“
“Ordered 4 drinks (all iced) : Coconut latte, cinnamon latte, rose latte, and pineapple passion sparkling water, im not much of a coffee person (i ordered the pineapple passion) but they were all very good! Went on a saturday around 3pm and it was busy in there but the staff did a great job handling all the orders. Cashier was very friendly and helpful with recommendations and the young lady calling out the ready orders was also friendly <3“
“Carol treated us very kindly. Order cold pot coffee and a duvalín latte. A little disappointed because the duvalin drink doesn't taste like duvalin, I think it's nesquik. However, the coffee was delicious and the bread was delicious!“
“Regal Bagel was the spot for today's breakfast. Service was great and were helped right away.Order the jalapeño bagel with egg, bacon and cheese. Bagel was freshly made and it was nice and soft. Bacon was cooked perfectly and it was crunchy, loved it. Overall it was delicious and satisfying. Loved that the jalapeños were mixed into the bagel dough and not just added to the top because they usually fall off, Just my opinion.“
“After school my little one craved some shaved ice. I wasn't sure where to go but I came across this spot while searching and we decided to give it a go. I'm glad we did it was delicious. I got the raspberry lychee shaved ice and it was perfect. My boyfriend tried his with condensed milk and enjoyed it, I tried and it made it take more like an ice cream. Not bad! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The vibe definitely gives that Hawaii vibe and there is some seating available inside too. We will be back.“
“The staff was amazing, kind, and joyful, made me feel so welcome and comforting. Incredibly fast service that was easy and cheerful at the same time. The jelly filled bar is soo good, good price for the quality, and I really love the raspberry jelly filled one because it reminds me of my childhood. The glazed donut holes are a personal favorite, they are so convenient and so good. I definitely recommend this place to all donut lovers out there.“
“Used coffee beans from Sightglass Coffee, delicious cappuccino with strong and deep tasting notes. Also recommend to try the banana crème latte, the slight hint of banana adds a lot of flavor to the latte and most importantly not too sweet at all.“
“It's been a while since my last visit to Rollo's but I'm glad to see that they are still as popular as ever. I used to have their glazed and chocolate covered raised donuts at work on Mondays and have always thought the dough quality was top notch. I came by for donuts myself maybe once or twice a couple of years ago, then sadly stopped coming around because I moved away from the area. More than once I'd stop by after sneaking away early for lunch only to find that they had sold out of donuts an hour before closing. During my most recent visit, I made sure to head over during breakfast hours to avoid being disappointed again. I would recommend getting any of the raised donuts, especially the glazed since that one always looks the best. I'm usually a donut hole lover but the donut holes here just don't have the same draw to them as the donuts themselves (not that they're bad but just notably less great). I'm not personally a big fan of cake donuts but I heard that the ones here are done with a little extra cinnamon, so if that's your thing then go for it but if it isn't then steer clear. They do take credit card which is always one of my concerns when it comes to donut shops. On the latest visit I was surprised to find one extra glazed donut in the bag, reading other reviews I guess a bonus donut or two isn't uncommon but I thought that was only for orders of a dozen or larger. Guess it doesn't hurt to mention which donut is your favorite while inside the store.“
“The workers were generous with the ice cream samples. I tried the Super Black Chocolate and regular Chocolate, both were smooth and tasty. My sister tried the pistachio gelato, she said it was good but it felt like there was a sour after taste to it.I ordered the strawberry banana nutella crepe and added an extra scoop of chocolate gelato which is delicious. The crepe batter might have been a little bit thick so the crepe wasn't as light as some of the Japanese crepes places I've been to, but overall it was good, with plenty of bananas and strawberries. I will come back again when I crave some gelato. We wanted to try the waffle bites but they crossed it out from the menu. Not sure if they'll bring it back again. The location is right near the children's play area in the mall so there were a lot of screaming kids while we sat down to eat, so I'd recommend finding a spot a bit further away if you get crepes/waffles or just to-go it.“
“Pretty good. Walking distance from our Airbnb. Prices seemed pretty high but we are not from here and it could be normal for the area. Coffee was ok. Took a while to get two iced coffees. Food was really good. We shared the mexicali breakfast burrito and the chipotle sauce was amazing. Definitely put some sweat on our brows.“
“Kind and authentic cafe. Ambiance was super cute. It's lovely to sit outside on a nice day and enjoy a delicious, well made latte--which they served to me when I already sat myself; a really sweet gesture. Workers seem to enjoy themselves too. I have yet to try the food but it looks good!“
“I tried Ethiopian food for the first time, the food was good and delicious. It might have been my taste but I did not like it. Nothing to take away from the restaurant of there servers, they did a good job of making and handling the food. Service and atmosphere was excellent, we're extremely polite.“
“Been there during a meet. Managers/owner/staff was great. I had a great latte with a croissant sandwich which was very fresh and good. I heard that this location is one out of two. I'm not sure where the other one is, but I'll definitely visit it.“
“These pies are absolutely delicious! I went there for the first time last month and I was not disappointed. I bought a few pies for my mom and I and we both enjoyed them very much. I got a medium sized ube pie as well as a medium sized blackberry pie. I also picked us up a couple of bite sized pies, salted caramel & chocolate, and peach. YUM! I live in SF, but I look forward to my next trip to San Jose. I will definitely be picking up some more pie!“
“Almost don’t want to review because it’s such a nice spot for getting work done! During the week it’s not very busy and they have plugs for your laptop. The oolong milk tea is delicious. Vibe is nice.Parking: Always plenty of parking at least on the weekdays.“
“Great local shop. We went here after going to the Farmers Market across the street last Sunday. Wish we had gone in before! Went in for a hot coffee and a latte, both were good. Then we decided to try one of their sandwiches. Gotta say it was a very good roast beef sandwich. Customer service was very good, everyone is so friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be making this a regular stop. There are a few tables inside along with two counters with bar stools. There's also a covered area outside with several tables and chairs which will be great on the warm summer days.“
“"I WANT GONG CHA", I scream to myself every time I pass by this place. Gong cha is in my neighborhood and conveniently located on my way home. The drinks are good and consistent. The folks that work there are so nice and get 5 stars too! I like to get some boba with the fam and play one of their board games. I see people working and studying there all the time and it has a very chill vibe. Highly recommended stopping here if you're in Willow Glen.“
“Wide selection of desserts. Cakes are not too sweet, and they have options for those with special diet preferences like keto and vegan. If they get too busy, have a little patience to wait til you get served, but staff are nice and trying to accommodate everyone. If you are a self entitled customer, maybe not the right place for you. First come, first serve...of course.Dietary restrictions: For keto diet, they have sugar free pistachio mousse“
“Phenomenal empanadas. I love empanadas, I make them, I buy them, I dream about them. This place has it all figured out. You can't go wrong with any and I kid you know I felt like I ordered the whole menu. The lomo saltado flavor is good and so is the traditional beef one which has olives. Yum! I'm not sure I took a picture as I just scarfed it down. A perfect breakfast or snack item.“
“Fresh tasty coffee, used my own travel mug! There was a whole large table of patrons laughing and visiting the whole time. Lovely local location! I will return!Parking: A large parking lot with a few designated spots for customers. Easy to find.“
“Highly recommend if you're in the area , make sure you come early to get their fresh donuts because they only make them once throughout the day , their breakfast/lunch sandwiches are really good , and they're huge , they always give you extra donuts with your purchase“
“Decent environment and devices are good. The system is also good, containing a comprehensive set of songs, even some recent released new songs. You can bring your own drinks in. $29 per hour for a small room in afternoon time and can afford up to 4 people. Generally good experience.“
“Been going to Maple Leaf Donuts for years and will miss Mary. Recently went for the first time under new ownership and met a nice woman behind the counter named Tia, who was very friendly and efficient. She accurately assembled my 1 doz donuts in a new flat style box, not the pink tallish square box I was so used to all these years. It''ll take some getting used to, but the advantage of the flat box is all donuts are now easily displayed (& accessible) when the box is opened - vs. being tightly slotted sideways in the pink box. All the donuts looked the same visually - which is a compliment to the new donut maker. I can't speak to the taste of the dozen donuts as they were given as a gift. I did order an apple fritter & old fashioned for myself - compliments to the current donut maker, both tasted like Maple Leaf Donuts - I'll need a few more visits to confirm for consistency of the product, but it seems they're following the previous recipes, techniques & process. Also the new owners put up a couple of flat screens that display all their menu items. Hopefully Almaden and the surrounding area gives the new owners a chance and continue to support local small businesses like Maple Leaf Donuts“
“I visited Hooz Donuts on a Friday morning and was greeted by warm smiles from staff and the enticing aroma of their scrumptious donuts. My intent was to just get a donut for breakfast but I ended up grabbing a dozen as I could not resists. Hooz Donuts reminds me of the donut shop my grandfather use to take me to and it brought such nostalgia. Can't wait to visit Hooz Donuts again.“
“It is in the Vietnam Town Plaza, and it is a small shop with limited seating. The service was quick and food came out fast. I think the dry noodles I got were good, very rich in garlic flavor. I would recommend if craving mazemen. The noodles are chewy as well.“
“Love this local coffee spot. The owner is super nice and welcoming. It seems like a community center where everyone knows each other, greets warmly, and even offers to share seats. We enjoyed a cappuccino and a latte (they offer soy/almond milk for substitute), we appreciate so much with the owner’s sweet treat! The relaxed atmosphere here feels so European, instantly bringing us back to Portugal and sparking that nostalgic feeling. Great spot to chill with excellent coffee and some food. Definitely coming back.Cash or Venmo only. Free parking right next to the shop.“
“I will recommend their Matcha Toffee drink. If you want it stronger, you could customize and add more matcha! It's inside the San Pedro market so it's usually pretty lively around! You could also customise the amount of ice and sweetness levels. Seating is shared with other businesses around.“
“My hubby loves donuts! We try donuts everywhere we go, and I have not left reviews, but this place here, OMG, literally THEE BEST donuts we have had. I highly recommend this place. We also walked around the Goodwill store next door, which was fun.“
“I liked the fruit tea; I got a strawberry flavored one, and it was alright. The atmosphere is nice, and there is quite a bit of seating available. Nothing too special, just a regular tea place. I might try the coffee is I am ever here again. There is a restroom here, which is a plus.“
“After a delicious lunch we decided to go here for coffee. Cocola Bakery is a charming French bakery and café serving French breads and pastries that are all baked daily on location. This indoor/outdoor café also serves gourmet sandwiches on fresh baguettes, with salads and homemade soups. We decided to have Mocha Bianca and believe me it's very tasty and creamy coffee. We also got dessert - pineapple twist, pineapple custard filling and cheese danish. If you haven't tried this place, I will highly recommend it and do try the pineapple custard filling dessert and the mocha bianca, I promise you will not regret it. I loved it and the service is great, the inside sitting can get crowded but they do have outside seating as well. As I write this review, I am craving that coffee for sure. I highly recommend this place.“
“Great food & resonable prices for lical highschool and college students. Everything is made in-house, and it shows. The menu offers different proteins for your order, so that's cool.Their boba selections are wonderful, too. I just wish they offered a damn cup of drip COFFEE.Either way, please support this local business; they're super mindful and nice... in spades! ♠️Wheelchair accessibility: YES“
“came here because i saw someone walking out with a thai tea and had a craving for one. got one and was shocked! easily best thai tea of my life. i shared it with my boyfriend and he also loved it. we came back today because he was craving it. i decided to try the vietnamese coffee and it also hit the spot!!! we were the only two people in the store and were eyeing the donuts but didn't buy as we were on the way to breakfast. the kind worker gave us free donut holes!!! she was so kind and made our morning! the shop is small but shows all pricing on a large sign and all the donuts look delicious! we will be coming back several more times“
“Spring break/recess 5 -Stars ! SJSU - Downtown San Jose location Excellent Barista "Skillz" by Kane. Tried a Yelp favorite: Phil Harmonic * Hot * Large * Cinnamon Toast Crunch Milk * Medium Creamy * Medium Sugar " Perfecto ! " and a shout out once again to Philz Coffee Barista, Kane -- Outstanding Service! One, two, three, four, FIVE Stars ! I approve this rating, Jay M.“
“What a great place to grab coffee and enjoy your morning. The coffee here is spectacular if you love coffee also if you love cool looking places. They offer a variety of flavored coffee drinks which I truly avoid but in this case, my wife tried one of the flavored ones and really enjoyed it. The staff is very very friendly and helpful. I can't say anything bad about the service as well. Come here have a small talk with a friend and enjoy your drink. Definitely recommended and don't miss out.Pros: coffee, staff, decorCons: popular:)Stars: 4.5“
“Came in on a late night for some donuts and they had plenty of options! The lady at the front was very kind and patient with us too. I got the Boston crème bar and it's very good. The custard is sweet and creamy and the donut is pretty soft. My bf got the old fashioned donuts and he also liked it. I consider this a reliable place for some good donuts.“
“+ Great variety of pho noodle soups. There are quite a lot of menu items (e.g pork intestines) that I have not seen in any other Vietnamese pho restaurants in Bay Area.+ Personally really enjoyed the wide rice noodles.+ Good portion size- The soup has a slightly sweeter taste than usual.“
“Xiang is my homeboy! He's always so cheerful and happy to see both regulars and new-comers. Great coffee and service every time I go visit, and I visit quite a bit. He works incredibly hard to pump out those drinks in a precise and efficient manner, as it is a one-man show. I'd recommend anyone in the area to stop by for a drink at T2!“
