“GREAT garoto coffee...the espresso with foamy milk.. so smooth, not bitter nor too strong. The portuguese cheese and prosciutto sandwich was good but next time will not get it toasted as the cold cheese itself is wonderful! the Pasteis di nata are the best littleegg tarts as I found them to be a bit dry, but then again get another coffee! Owner was so friendly and the place adequate for being an older establishmen.“

“Greeted warmly as i entered and met a friendly smile at the register. It was my 1st time at this location, Almaden, and very surprised by the great variety of offerings. “Had an amazing experience at Big E Cafe! The empanadas were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and packed with delicious fillings. You can really taste the care and authenticity in every bite. A special shout-out to Laura for her outstanding service. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we walked in. Her recommendations were spot-on and made our visit even better. “Good vibes. Cold air. Not a ton of seating inside but tbh ere are also chairs outside - lot of people working here on a Sunday so it’s definitely a hot spot.

Banana matcha was terrific. Delicious banana flavor.

Thairamisu- also tasty- the tiramisu cream probably goes well with everything.

“Tried the chicken puffs and filter coffee at Chai and Coffee- both were really good! The puff was crispy, flaky, and nicely spiced, and the filter coffee was strong, smooth, and without sugar. A great spot for a quick snack. Will definitely be back to try more!“

“Got the super burritto and the shrimp cocktail...very delicious! A hint of sweetness, nice toastiness on the tortilla. The salsa with the chips had a nice smokey flavor and spiciness to it--spicy enough for my husband to need something to drink! The food is properly seasoned and not overly spicy which is great for a soft-mouth like me :)

The place was packed on a sunday at lunch time, a great sign that the food is good. The lady who helped us was friendly and understanding.

Mostly indoor seating but we sat at the one outside table under the umbrella.

“Consistent and affordable milk tea spot in the Berryessa area. Drinks are on the sweeter side so definitely lower the sweetness level. Their mobile app comes with many perks and surprise bonus deals like happy hours or BOGOs which I have taken advantage of many times. They also have a set of secret drinks on their app too! Also a decent place to study because of the atmosphere – wooden tables and chairs and plenty of space to work.

I always get their Thai Tea with honey boba and it has never failed me. Their Thai tea is sweet but still has the signature Thai spice taste. Their boba is always cooked to perfection – not too firm but with great chewiness and slightly al dente. Paired with sea salt cream, you can taste slight notes of salt every few sips along with additional creaminess.

Their oolong milk tea at 50% sweetness is also great – it’s sweet with the earthiness of oolong.

On a day where I need caffeine, I always get the black and tan (50% sweetness) which is a combination of their house coffee infused with jasmine tea. You can definitely taste the caffeine from their house coffee but also the floral notes from the jasmine tea.

Their House coffee is slightly misleading in my opinion - it’s super sweet and only has a touch of caffeine flavor that is subtle. The caffeine doesn’t affect me like other coffee places do.

Their assam black milk tea is their generic black milk tea drink. Milk and sugar, nothing beyond that.

What makes them different from other milk tea shops is their Mung bean milk tea. It has the slight earthiness and nuttiness of mung beans with granules and flakes of mung beans in the drink. At less sweetness level this drink with boba is enjoyable but definitely an acquired taste.“

Enchilada day in my favorite. the 1 star review from reviewer B.S. is nonsense ( he gives 1 stars all the time, including 7-11 LOL) , this cafe is an amazing local resource.

“Vietnamese coffee shop owned by 2 sisters. 30+ years. Staffed by Vietnamese kids some who have poor english. They trying to make a living. First job and the only job if you don't have good English and have immigrant parents. Not easy. Support the local Asian economy. No nudity or funny biz like the other places. Lots of smoking and lotto.“

“No complaints here! An unassuming little shop tucked away in a busy plaza. The staff here are friendly and quick. You can hear them juicing the sugarcane as you order. Very fresh and good quality nuoc mia (sugarcane juice).I also tried the pate chaud, which were $1.15 each. These were tasty! Very crispy puff pastry with a good amount of meat. The flavor is quite peppery and savory. I recommend!! They also accept Apple Pay :)“

“The only reason i’m writing this review is because of the service. I was pretty nervous to order something new so when i got an okinawa milk tea (D11) i realized my mistake. i had got it with fresh milk meaning the drink was almost entirely milk. However, as i told the cashier my conundrum, the cashier was still incredibly nice and welcoming. she offered to make me the okinawa roasted milk tea (D13) to replace the one i already ordered. and nail in the coffin was that the new drink is now one of my favorites. she was completely understanding and sweet and i’m definitely coming back!! <33“
