Based on customer reviews, Chayakada offers decent food, though some items are better than others. The Kerala chai is good, and the pazhampori, egg puff, and cutlet are amazing, especially when freshly made. The unnakaya is also awesome. The food is consistently great, with the beef cutlet, beef curry with porotta or kallu appam, and Malabar chicken biriyani being favorites. The homemade lemon date pickle that comes with the biriyani is also a highlight. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. However, some dishes like the filter coffee and egg puffs were not as good on occasion, and one reviewer found the egg in the egg puff very hard. The main dish of the egg rice bowl could use more variety. Cleanliness is a concern, as the dining area tables and chairs often have stains and crumbs. The games in the back are also missing pieces. Despite these issues, the authentic Kerala food, tasty chai, easy parking, and overall vibe make it a place worth recommending.
