“This is the best pho I have eaten since I worked in the peace core in Vietnam. The broth is delectable. The meat is succulent the veggies add a fresh crunch and aroma that you just can’t get at other local pho restaurants in the area. The pricing is affordable. The portions are mega. If you get the large and I honestly wish that I could dispense the broth out of my nipples because then I would have the delicious taste of Pho long Thinh with me at all times. Just get the #2 large bowl of pho, and thank me later.“

“My family and I had a great experience. It wasn't busy when we went, so we got seated right away. Our server was attentive and friendly (I wish I remembered her name). We ordered chicken parmigiana and chicken alfredo with all you could eat soup and breadsticks. My son and daughter shared the alfredo and my husband had the chicken parmigiana. I simply had my son's soup 😅. I got to try 2 of the soups and was full after the 2 bowls. For four people, we spent only $56 (tip included) and left feeling full. I thought it was pretty good for a chain restaurant.“

“Being in SJ, there are a ton of pho options but Pho Ly is a very solid new spot. What puts them over is the broth, they use ingredients that a lot of other restaurants skimp on. So it tastes like a home cooked bowl from your vietnamese auntie. The chefs know what they're doing and put a lot of thought into it. The service was fast and the inside was very clean. It's a very easy location to get to with a spacious parking lot, unlike many spots in East SJ. So if you're looking for a quick bite of pho, I very much recommend pho ly.“

“Pho Papa is a popular pho spot in San Jose with a larger and more comfortable dining area than many of the smaller pho restaurants around town. The restaurant is usually busy, but service is generally quick, and parking is fairly convenient.
The beef pho is the main attraction, with choices such as special combination pho, beef rib, oxtail, brisket, tendon, and rare steak. The meat is usually tender, and the portions can be generous.
My main issue is the inconsistency of the broth. On some visits it tastes rich, clean, and very flavorful, while on other occasions it can taste noticeably different or weaker. I prefer a pho restaurant where the broth tastes about the same every time, so that inconsistency keeps me from rating it higher.
It is still a good place for pho, especially if you like a spacious restaurant and a good selection of beef cuts, but I would like to see more consistency from visit to visit.“

“Great sweet and sour chicken. The chicken pieces are really big which could be a plus or minus depending on how you like it, but the sauce was great, chicken not overcooked, and good fried rice.

The place is tiny, but compared to other tiny Chinese takeout places, not stuffy and very clean. The hostess was very polite and I noticed that tables were bussed very quickly.

This area of SJ / Santa Clara can be really hard to find good "basic" Chinese takeout, but if you're looking for all sorts of bite-sized pieces of chicken, beef or pork in a familiar variety of sauces, this is the best option I've found within a 10 minute drive of PayPal.

Parking: You'll have to get lucky with curb parking on the Alameda or down one of the residential side-streets. All dedicated lots in the area are "X parking only", and this place has no lot of its own.

Wheelchair accessibility: No weird thresholds or floor warping, standard height tables with movable chairs. Sidewalk in acceptable condition.“

“We found ourselves in the food court after learning about the ridiculous wait times for our original dinner plan, Din Tai Fung. Honestly, I wasn't too disappointed because I actually love food court dining, and this one had a surprisingly good variety of options to choose from.

I ended up going with Nick the Greek since Mediterranean food is always a favorite of mine. I ordered the Beef Gyro, and it was fantastic. The food came out fairly quickly, and everything tasted fresh. The pita was warm, soft, and had just the right amount of chew, while the beef was well-seasoned and paired perfectly with the toppings and sauce.

It was one of those meals that was simple but executed really well. Every bite was flavorful, and by the end, I was completely satisfied.

My only hesitation is the price, which felt a little steep for a food court meal. That said, the quality was there, and I'm glad I gave it a try. Overall, a delicious meal that I'd happily order again.“
