“Your typical hole-in-the-wall ethnic gem where the food is consistently authentic and very good. The service is also on point. It's nice to get a great Pho joint that doesn't require traveling all the way to Hanoi or even East San Jose. Highly recommend!Parking: Strip mall style parking so if the other mall businesses are also busy one has to park on the side street instead of the main lot.“
“I've been wanting to try this place for some time and I finally decided to when I was feeling sick and wanted soup! I got the coconut noodle soup with tofu & veggies and I got it Thai spicy! I was a little scared of how spicy it might be but honestly, it was not bad. Still, would not advise if you feel like you are sensitive to spice because you can visually see more pieces of actual Thai chilies in the dish. I've since gone back to have this again and it was the perfect comfort dish, like a hug from the inside to help me feel better but fuel me with something absolutely delicious! I also had the Thai tea and it was made perfectly! Not too milky and not too sweet. It's one of the better Thai teas that I've had at any restaurant. This place only offers pick-up orders. I didn't see it on any delivery service. Definitely easiest to just call in your order. The interior is very small and not designed for a sit-in meal. They're always nice and have the orders done a bit faster than the estimated time they give you.“
“I'm a huge fan of Erik’s Deli! Their sandwiches are the bomb. But let me tell you, not all Eric's Daily spots are equal. It really depends on the chef. Anyway, my boyfriend and I grabbed our Abbot's Habbit Sandwiches, and man, they were delicious as always. Oh, and I gotta give a shoutout to the guy at the cashier who took our order. He was super friendly and positive. With folks like him around, this place is gonna keep rocking. Thanks, wherever you are! You're awesome!“
“Stopped in this place while I was down in the area. Hiking for the day. Surprisingly, it was a delicious, fast and well-serviced restaurant. Walked in to find updated decor. Multiple staff members willing and to quickly help. The food was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are large.“
“Pho Quest Stop #77It’s been awhile since I’ve tried a new pho spotMy favorite spot Pho Ha Noi now has locations in San Jose, Cupertino, Palo Alto and Fremont and is a successful chainToday was a chance to try a mom and pop shopPho Nhy is on McKee Road and the options here are sparse. The prior pho spot was one of my lowest rated pho spots I had triedBut I heard this new establishment and the nearby Duc Huong sandwiches had renewed food cred of the areaTheir signature is the beef stew which I really enjoyed with flat rice noodles and the pho oxtailSoup flavors were solid and both fresh flat and regular rice noodles are availableThe Hainan chicken was a bit lean but overall this is a surprising find for the area? Bo Kho $16.50 ~ Beef Stew, Large, Rice Noodles / Pho Tai Duio Bo $15 ~ Large Pho with Flank Steak and Oxtail / Hainan Chicken with Rice $16?Pho Nhy (San Jose, CA)My Pho Quest Rankings: [San Jose, unless noted]============1) Pho Ha Noi - BEST Pho (Overall & Northern Style)2) Pho Cong Ly - BEST Oxtail Pho3) Pho Y1 - BEST Pho (Southern Style)4) Pho Kim Long - BEST Chicken Pho5) Turtle Tower (SF) - Pho Dac Biet6) Pho Ga Hung - BEST Cau Bun Rau Muong7) Pho 79 (Garden Grove) - Pho Dac Biet8) Pho Papa - Pho Dac Biet with Special Beef Short Rib9) Pho Tick Tock - Pho Tick Tock*10) PHO NGUYEN (Milpitas) - Pho Nguyen Dac Biet w/ fresh wide noodlesDining is indoor only and credit cards are accepted“
“I like their Ambur mutton biryani which is full of flavor and a bit spicy though not dominating other flavors. Appam is authentic and our kids love it with mild chicken curry. Service is very good , Chef is very friendly and he himself served some dishes.“
“One of the must try restaurants I was looking forward to due many recommendations from friends. Upon arrival in late afternoon, we were seated right away. There were plenty of space, tables, and nice ambiance to talk in. Our group all ordered the Bun Bo Hue. The unique thing that came along was a small plate of spice and shrimp paste to adjust the flavor to your liking, which I thought was a nice touch. On first taste, the dish was flavorful, soup was on the sweeter side, and there was a generous amount of meats and noodles underneath. I ordered a nice strong coffee and sugar cane juice to finish the nice meal as well. I would definitely recommend and come back again if I'm back in the area.“
“First time visiting a Vietnamese restaurant in the United States~You can eat delicious Vietnamese food here~It’s also a good place for Asians to eat here!Authentic Vietnamese Pho and more~The decoration inside the restaurant is also quite special~There is also a TV that broadcasts the life of Vietnamese locals! The Vietnamese pho and barbecue rice I have eaten so far are quite delicious!PS: If you like my comments, you can follow them~I will take photos of the appearance and color of the food I saw on site and present it to everyone. I will go to various places to discover delicious food and unique places! !I wish everyone’s wishes come true! “
“Just ordered from here for the first time. Prices compared to Panda Express are higher, BUT!!!! Taste, quality and authenticity is not comparable. Panda Express is like 7-Eleven burgers versus Black Angus steak burgers AT Black Angus. There is no comparison.“
“Whenever I'm craving something warm and cozy this is my go to. All the dishes taste like it's homemade. Quick and easy meal no fuss. Recommend: - mi ga dac biet (egg noodles with chicken. The broth on this is . The portion is big so I can usually share this with another person. - the chicken salad (similar chicken to the one in the noodles but more and has cabbage I believe) - chicken rice plate“
“If you love authentic TRUE VIETNAMESE tasting pho come here ! It is so delicious and nutritious and it leaves you wanting more. The number 14 is filet mignon with rice and vegetable sides and mini pho broth soup. Impeccable. All the ladies as well are sooo so kind ! Shout out to them ??? I suggest this place “
“Went here because the other popular pho ga spot down the street closed at 8pm. This is a great alternative. The rotisserie chicken was great but not as good. However the dry hue tieu really stood out. The gravy-ish sauce was delicious and the side of soup came with a large beef on the bone. The best part was the very friendly service and energetic atmosphere. It's a fun alternative for pho ga plus they have tasty other dishes like bun Bo hu and hue tieu.“
“Amazing! Came here to eat because my aunt recommended it to me. Never knew such a good individual hot pot spot was here all along. I love how deep the flavor is for the mala pot soup. It is a bit on the salty side, but I really love that to eat with the rice. I can tell the quality of the meat is really good because of how tender it is. Each pot is loaded and the price is reasonable. You HAVE to ask for their dipping sauce, it is the best thing ever. Service is amazing and I would definitely be coming back here again soon. Also, CASH ONLY!“
“Seafood Tofu is pretty good. I always get spicy for my soup and they make it spicy enough for the kick and not overpowering. The broth had the right taste of the cooked seafood of shrimp and clams. They add on egg that pretty much cook though so breaking the yolk wasn't possible. Maybe I'll ask them to stir it next time or leave it out. It comes with purple rice and add an order of spicy cucumber cause I didn't see Kim Chi on machine to order. I'd definitely be coming back.“
“First time ever going here. Hidden gem. They had a great lunch special for only $14.99. I got the Mongolian beef with friend rice. Very tasty and fresh. No msg was added. Great place to go to for great Chinese food. Service was very fast and efficient. We got seated right away and given water right away. They brought out our food very quickly. The lighting was perfect. Super clean restaurant. The restaurant is a little hidden. very spacious for a time place. They can sit big parties.“
“I do like this place a lot for good Viet food. There is ample parking as the place is in the corner next to Nob Hill grocery shopping center. Starbucks is also nearby. For us service has always been great whether we eat there or get food for pick up. The vegetarian tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce is amazing. We also usually order the Lemongrass tofu over white rice dish. The folks here always give us extra fortune cookies for our 3 year old Izzy. I would recommend this place for the food and service.“
“Food was okay. Pretty expensive for banh mi. Amount of food for price was not good. Pho was good. Thai tea wasn’t as sweet as expected and with too much ice. I had requested light ice. Overall I would recommend customers just stick to pho here.“
“Our wonderful and friendly server, Ernesto, was the greatest. Very attentive and frequently made sure we had everything we needed. Food was yummy, hadn't been there in awhile, so it was my bd, I decided, "lets go!" I had fun! Thanks Ernesto and Olive Garden!“
“I was recommended by a friend to try the restaurant's duck noodle soup. My family went with 4 adults and 1 baby and the service arranged seats very quickly and enthusiastically. We ordered rice vermicelli soup with bamboo shoots and duck salad x 4 ?The food is served quickly, the noodles are served with a dipping sauce that goes very well with the duck salad. I ordered sugarcane juice to drink together, it was delicious. the price is very reasonable. My family will definitely come back when they visit San Jose“
“Excellent flavors in all the dishes we ordered. Tom kha with chicken, pumpkin curry with beef, pad see eew with shrimp and eggplant basil stir fry with shrimp. The sauces were out of this world. Shrimp succulent and perfectly cooked. Only shortcomings are that the beef was a tad tough and the noodles overdone that they were completely broken up… but it was so delicious that it didn’t stop us.“
“I just stopped to pick up a to-go order and the owner was so kind that they went out of their way to sit me at a clean table and served me some tea and ice cream while I waited and even rushed to serve a side of chili pasta.Food is excellent just like the service! Will definitely be returning!Vegetarian options: My wife is vegetarian and they serve a great veggie pho!“
“Erik’s is a great place to eat. I have eaten at 4 different locations, totaling over 200 visits. I eat here at least once a week. Their soups are outstanding, my favorite is the tomato. The chili is also excellent. Their sandwiches are fresh, with most covered in sprouts. My favorite for a light meal is the pilgrims progress with light onions and extra sprouts. When I’m really hungry I go with the Cali Classico. The dub club is great for kind of an in between. I can’t recommend this place enough!“
“A place like Erik's is a rarity nowadays! It's easy to pick healthy options and have a lunch you feel good about, and the staff are FAST and super nice and thoughtful. Everything I love about a grab-n-go lunch spot. I've come here over ten times and will eat it over any fast food lunch spot any day.“
“First time here...ordered their brisket with tripe pho. And their pork rice plate without rice only veg. Pho had a tasty broth and the brisket was lean and soft. My grilled pork was yummy. Their picked veggies was delish. Service was spot on and they had a nice family style restaurant feel.“
“Having had pho in many places in the bay area, this was probably the best so far. Other placed use the wrong noodle, the wrong ingredients, or downright the wrong style of soup for pho. The noodles here were not too expensive, 3 bowls totaling about $60 with tip. Here, you have the choice of noodle options, the flat traditional noodle, or the thin angel hair pho noodle. I ordered the angel hair thin rice noodle as this is what I usually order. The soup broth was done well, with a decent amount of meat and noodles. The spring rolls were large and very satisfying. The service is done with via robot or by human. The robot is very accurate, pulling up to mere inches from the table and turning to allow you to grab your order! Very innovative and fresh new idea to use robots to deliver pho.The restaurant itself is nestled in San Jose, right on King Road. It's in a VERY popular Vietnamese little strip mall, so parking may be tight. Inside, it's fairly loud, with music playing, people talking, and robots delivering food. If I lived near here, this would compete for one of the most regular places I would frequent! Give it a try!“
“I went here twice, and tried the Banh beo, Mi Quang, and Bun Cha Cua. I would recommend the Banh Beo, as there were 8 pieces and delicious. The mi quang and bun cha cua were decent, but I probably wouldn't get it again here. They also have a tray of sauces and they were pretty good.Service was decent. It's located in a plaza so plenty of parking.I would rate it a 3.75/5, rounding up to a 4/5.“
“A quick light grub. Health and filling. Got the Turkey Sandwich Meal, included bag chips, soup and a fountain drink. The staff is extremely nice and helpful with your selection. Clean and a pleasant quiet spot for a nice little gathering with a buddy or a family for good foods.“
“My husband, kids, and I have been coming here for YEARS. It is always our go too and never disappoints!Their service is always fast and amazing plus their food is SO good.It hits the spot every time! The #1 Spring rolls are a must have and we always get the #12.I cannot thank the staff enough for the many times we have been here.“
“We order from here at least once a week. The food is delicious and affordable. The service is quick too. This isn't really the place you would come to sit down at eat bc it is very small but it is perfect for takeout. If you're looking for a new Chinese takeout spot this is the place for you.Our go to favs:Mongolian beefShrimp fried riceGarlic chicken Combo chow mein“
“It had been ages since we got ourselves to an Olive Garden - the one close to home closed. No surprise after all these years. As good as ever! Our hostess, Grace A, made the experience more enjoyable.Perhaps we will make the drive to this OG more often.“
“So good! I ordered the oxtail noodle soup and added meatballs. The oxtail was super tender and the broth was flavorful and not greasy. Also, their freshly squeezed orange juice is a must-have! Staff is always super nice and attentive! Definitely a go-to spot whenever I'm in town!“
“Came here for lunch with a friend and had their Thai curry which was amazing! The food was very flavorful and the right amount of spicy without having to add on top of it. My friend also loved her noodles and as an East Asian she was pretty impressed with this place and it's authentic flavors.“
“Liked the food here. Ordered a salad and Tandoori chicken, salad was basic but tasty (lots of grilled chicken so I was happy)... tandoori chicken was delicious.Vegetarian friends ordered paneer wrap and sandwich and were highly impressed by the taste. They reordered the paneer wrap as they liked it so much. Recommend a visit for anyone looking for a diverse menu from biryani, wraps to salads.Food took some time to come, but it was worth itVegetarian options: Paneer options were quite good.Dietary restrictions: They had a good low carb salad with grilled chicken. Just be sure to tell no ranch or ask for ranch on the side“
“Food was excellent! From side dishes to sauces, everything tasted fresh and thought out. My only wish is that this place was bigger. We ate family style where we shared all ordered items and there was very little space on the table to accomodate 4 entrés.“
