“A must stop for banh mi when visiting San Jose. The line is almost always out the door, sometimes to the end of the building or longer. However, it moves fairly quick, as there's usually multiple cashiers taking orders. The longest wait is actually waiting for your completed order.

They're mostly famous for their banh mis, and sells them in two sizes, small and large. The small is convenient for people who can't finish a whole large by themselves. They also do sell a lot of other things in there, like nem, gio, xoi, etc. It's hard to go in there and not come out with a lot of things.“

“I love that this place is still here. Great bread, great sandwiches, I only wish it wasn’t “cash only”. At least they have an expensive ATM if you need cash in a pinch. This place is exactly how I remember the first time I visited back in the mid 90’s. Nice to have original places still around and preserved. Great comfortable outdoor patio too!“

“Mama’s House is the spot if you want authentic Vietnamese-style flavors. Had the chicken breakfast sandwich (no egg) and it still hit. The calamansi tea is refreshing and delicious, and the Vietnamese iced coffee is strong and perfect if you’re a caffeine fiend like me.

“I don't like the new site design with placing the order upfront and then waiting to pickup the sandwiches. it feels like a burger place then the old Togos. the new design is slower and I've had more problems, like getting the wrong sandwich in my bag since multiple people are working on a single order. if this continues to be an issue I'll find a different location to visit.“

“Ordered curbside pickup today. Had so much trouble finding the pickup spot. I finally gave up and called for help. The employees went above and beyond to get me my order. They didn’t make me feel bad about not finding the spot. Their kindness helped me be less stressed out. I have an injury, so this was so appreciated. “A little questionable for the location, but my biggest turn off was the staff and the fact you can't see them prepping your sandwich like other TOGO'S locations.
They were talking amongst themselves in Spanish the entire time, which I don't really care about but that paired with the fact it was all done behind a counter I couldn't see just left me wondering if they had properly heard what I wanted in my sandwich.
I luckily I ordered a classic 24 so it was easy enough. I'd go again if I had to though. It's the only TOGO'S in the area I believe.“

“This is an absolute gem and a wonderful addition to Westgate Mall! Tucked right next to FedEx on the corner of Saratoga Avenue and Prospect, Mendocino Farms has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat.
The menu is outstanding—packed with fresh, delicious sandwiches, crisp salads, hearty soups, and their legendary brownies that are simply out of this world. The atmosphere is bright, clean, open, and incredibly welcoming, with a warm and friendly vibe that makes you want to linger.
Prices are very reasonable, the staff is genuinely kind and attentive, and there’s plenty of comfortable seating both inside and out under shady umbrellas—perfect for relaxing with a meal.
I stopped in today and had the pleasure of meeting Nicole, the General Manager, and Grant, the Senior Manager. Both were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. When I told my wife about it, her face lit up—she’s a huge fan of Mendocino Farms and used to visit the Palo Alto location all the time when she worked nearby. She can’t wait to join me next time!

“this is a no-frills sandwich spot in an office park, with so little branding that it's easy to miss that it's there. The chipotle chicken sandwich was genuinely delicious and the service was great. it's a weekday lunch to grab and go, like Togos,(when you can get it expensed) but I wouldn't come here to hang out.“

“Everything is great except it was super warm in there. One of the employees said it was almost 80 degrees on the thermostat on the wall. I wouldn’t eat there. Definitely a TOgo order! I think it would be nice to get these employees some AC or fans. Also seems like a good idea to keep food ingredients from getting so warm. Still love Asian salad dressing soo much.“

As a San Jose native, there’s a lot of good bánh mì places but this one is definitely solid. All the sandwiches are made to order and you get value for the prices, especially with the buy 5 get one free deal. The service is great and the owners are usually there in the back! I recommend giving it a try. My go-to is the bánh mì đặc biệt, it’s a classic and I personally like my sandwiches a bit fatty to balance with the veggies.“

Situated in the Lion Plaza, parking is so easy. The mall, in business for over 40 years, is a nice and relaxing environment without any stressful parking.

Most of the specialty dishes are made on site by the owners guaranteeing fresh items, especially the sweet dessert Chè with coconut milk.

I heartily recommend this small sandwich shop. It’s one of my favorite stops to fix my Vietnamese taste craving. 🌷“

“The bánh mì is good. Lots of cilantro in it. I'm not a cilantro person. But that's just personal preference... I remove some of it, it's perfect. I like this place. Wish the drink was less sweet. Also had a cilantro taste at the end for some reason, didn't like that
