I have not visited in many years and wanted to share my recent experience. Depending on your needs, this could be a nice resource and alternative to other food options nearby. Sandwich, chips and soda came to $17.77 although I did not feel especially lucky: [ 7 | 7 | 7 ]
The service was friendly, skilled and efficient, and yet the takeaway was either I am out of touch with food options on-campus or a high-profile music concert was about to begin in the courtyard based on the meal co$t. In other words, if you are looking for a drink and a snack, they have a nice variety of both. If you are looking for an affordable lunch option that you might consider making a habit, this may inspire you to find your favorite bread at the grocery store, to meal prep your must-have toppings and try the DIY sandwich crafting path instead. If you had a tuna kit and a slice of cheese, would they sell you two nice slices of bread? Maybe next time!“

“The sandwich that myself and my father got was great especially with the buy one great one free deal I would have gave five stars but my sprite and chips was forgotten and they charge me for it. They need to make sure everything is in my order before delivery especially since I was charged for it…“

I got mine with oat milk, which made it extra creamy without being too heavy. The caffeine level was perfect for me too. I got the boost I wanted without feeling wired or jittery afterward.

Service was quick, and I really appreciated that the cashier personally brought our drinks over to where we were sitting. Such a great little community find. Definitely coming back for this coffee.“

“My family and I just recently went to Sourdough and had a great experience. The staff were very welcoming and very patient with our group. The restaurant itself was very clean. Tables were brand new with cool designs. The atmosphere was also very respectful and peaceful.

Food was also very exceptional for the price. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. The meat was very tender and overall very good. Others in our group that are vegetarian were also very pleased with their meals. The Caprese sandwich and the ttomato bisque with the side of bread were very popular. The cookies though shouldn't be overlooked. They were very soft and delicious. If you come here you have to give the cookies a try.“

I also tried their 2 dessert options. They have the bst carrot cake I have ever had! Their chocolate chip cookie tasted very rich. I had their veggie soup which was fresh and delicious. This place is my new go to spot. The location is a little awkward, but the inside is organized and clean. It only took 10 minutes to make my order. Definitely a satisfied customer!!!“

Jim is a very friendly dude, very old school New Yorker with old school New Yorker sandwiches and they’re extremely well made, they also have a taste of Palo Alto in them, with the fresh ingredients and native water being used.“

“This was a great lunch place to visit for us. We had been to a Mendocino Farm location years ago in SF. We each ordered their 1/2 Sandwich and a side. My wife ordered the 1/2 Farm Club w/ a small side of Basil Pesto Shells. I had the 1/2 “Not so Fried” Chicken Sandwich w/ a medium side of Kale & Apple Rainbow Salad. We both enjoyed our meals. The place has both indoor & outdoor seating. They also serve draft beer and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Definitely worth stopping by for a meal“

“You didn't know this before but if you like lunch or enjoy food you should eat here.

First time diner, long time consumer. I made a rookie mistake while ordering the vegetarian sandwich on sourdough. French or dutch crunch roll is recommended. Said I was open to suggestions. Then we added avocado, fresh jalapeno, tapatio, and a side of fries.

I ate half the fries and the smaller cut of the sandwich. I'm excited to be hungry again in about two hours.“

“Had a great experience dining here - the food was fresh, tasty, and super easy to just order at the register at walk-in. The portion I would say is in the smaller side, for the sandwich. I think the salad is just right. This was my first time dining in, and I really enjoyed it! I think the bowls are very pretty and raises the elegance of dining for sure.

We ordered the Peruvian steak sandwich and the Seasonal GOAT with Sweet Citrus - the taste was lovely and well-balanced with some spicy taste. The goat cheese was light and airy, so definitely doable even if you’re not a huge fan of goat cheese.

The inside space was super spacious, and you can choose to sit both inside or out. We sat inside, and I was glad due to the hot hot weather, the AC inside was great. The lady at the register was also super nice, and gave my toddler a set of crayons and paper to draw on! I will be coming back again soon!“

“This is the best Jersey Mike’s in the entire state of California!! As soon as we walk in everyone is just beaming, smiling from ear to ear, everyone behind the counter was just lovely to talk to. We ordered several vegetarian options, including the Farmer’s Market, Del Monte Special, Natural High, House Salad, Caesar Salad, and a bowl of Tomato Basil Bisque. Everything tasted fresh, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The Farmer’s Market was loaded with crisp vegetables and avocado, while the Natural High was hearty, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The Del Monte Special is a classic that’s simple but delicious. “Ordered the sandwich with fried chicken and BBQ mustard on a Dutch crunch role. It was pretty alright. I wouldnt say it was worth the price though.

You have the option to choose between different types of bread, and many vegetable toppings are complementary. There is also a wide sandwich selection, so you can probably find a sandwich that fits your taste pretty well. Nothing to rave about though in my opinion.“

“Subway San Carlos served me an excellent Spicy Italian made just the way I like it. Mine came on Italian Herb and Cheese bread that was perfectly toasted. Drink on the side was a Dr Pepper, and it was also perfect.
Atmosphere is pretty standard for an older location that has not been updated in many years. The tables , food counter prep area, floors and windows are clean and neat

The one strike against Subway in San Of Carlos was the bathroom. It was obviously not cleaned well for at least a few days. No hook to hang a jacket. Sink drain empties VERY SLOWLY. And when I visited I first had to clear the plugged up toilet and give it a light cleaning before I could use it. Would never had sent kids in there alone because of the lack of upkeep.

Close to the San Carlos Transit Center for easy SamTrans and CalTrain access.

Except for the restroom, I count this Subway visit in San Carlos California as a win.

You may want to stop by yoursellf for some well prepared Subway food too.“

“My husband and I stopped by after seeing Eddie Izzard's Hamlet right down the street. I got the Damon Bruce and my husband got thr Hollywoo. Both were fantastic (though I tried both and think i picked best). The dirty sauce was surprisingly sweet, and the only complaint I have is that it was sweeter than I would have liked. Did not stop me from devouring the deliciousness, though. I will be back if I am in the area again.“
