I ordered 2 sandwiches one pork and one spicy Korean pork. Both were delicious. It was the perfect amount of cucumber, jalapeño, to meat ratio. Bread was nice a crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Perfect for Banh Mi. It did not break through while eating and was not soggy. I feel like these are the most important quality with Banh Mi's. It helps create that perfect ratio of everything all together.
I'm a huuuge banh mi addict and can confidently say that Duc Huong has one of the best in the south bay. Aside from the plentiful amount of filling inside, the key differentiator of their sandwich is their bread. It has a really unique chew to it that is very distinctive to Duc Huong. Other place's bread has that french bread texture like the grocery store load, but the inside of their bread is actually pillowy and baked with the right amount of moisture. This is the Duc Huong location we always go to but sadly they don't have pate so! We love the buy 4 get one free deal, so we usually get 5 or 10.If you're having a party, a large sandwich can easily be cut into 4 pieces. The grilled pork, combination, and the fish banh mi are the ones we always ordered. We still need to try their garlic bread.
