“Taste 5/5, Health 5/5, Cleanliness 4.5/5, Interior 5/5, Location 3.5, Service 1/5 (I don't know how the fat guy got this job, but he is clearly in the wrong line of work. If you can't smile and don't like greetings, then don't take a customer facing job), Value 5/5“
“The food here was just as good as the other two locations we tried. The employees are VERY friendly, and the service was great. The outdoor seating area here is definitely the best of the three we've gone to so far. Shady and cozy, with a nice fence to isolate the patio from the nearby traffic. Also very dog friendly. The ONLY problem, and sadly, it's kind of a big one, is the parking here is a nightmare. If you are biking or walking, this one is perfect. But trying to park... yikes!I get that there's not really much they can do about it, but it was such a huge issue for us, we probably won't come back to this one. BUT please, if you are close enough to walk or bike, you should give it a go, it's a really nice location otherwise.“
“Food was excellent! From side dishes to sauces, everything tasted fresh and thought out. My only wish is that this place was bigger. We ate family style where we shared all ordered items and there was very little space on the table to accomodate 4 entrés.“
“Today we visited our beloved restaurant Din Tai Fung again. Whether in Taiwan or the United States, its consistent high-quality service remains the same. Surprisingly, the American branches have maintained the same standard, and the young service team is courteous and attentive. The food is as delicious as ever, and every time I visit, I look forward to it. It is indeed a place worth returning to again and again. I ate Xiao Long Bao today, and the fried tofu was quite delicious along with the kale and pork ribs and egg fried rice. It's a pity that the food intake is limited, otherwise I should have ordered more.“
“Your typical hole-in-the-wall ethnic gem where the food is consistently authentic and very good. The service is also on point. It's nice to get a great Pho joint that doesn't require traveling all the way to Hanoi or even East San Jose. Highly recommend!Parking: Strip mall style parking so if the other mall businesses are also busy one has to park on the side street instead of the main lot.“
“Cute place with decent vegetarian options.Tried Tofu/Vegetarian Roll (4 pieces) and they tasted pretty good. Wish they could added more veggies though. Peanut Sauce was amazing! Also, the chili paste on the side was very fresh and tasted good. It’s honestly very expensive for the quantity they offered though :/Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options..“
“I've been wanting to try this place for some time and I finally decided to when I was feeling sick and wanted soup! I got the coconut noodle soup with tofu & veggies and I got it Thai spicy! I was a little scared of how spicy it might be but honestly, it was not bad. Still, would not advise if you feel like you are sensitive to spice because you can visually see more pieces of actual Thai chilies in the dish. I've since gone back to have this again and it was the perfect comfort dish, like a hug from the inside to help me feel better but fuel me with something absolutely delicious! I also had the Thai tea and it was made perfectly! Not too milky and not too sweet. It's one of the better Thai teas that I've had at any restaurant. This place only offers pick-up orders. I didn't see it on any delivery service. Definitely easiest to just call in your order. The interior is very small and not designed for a sit-in meal. They're always nice and have the orders done a bit faster than the estimated time they give you.“
“I'm a huge fan of Erik’s Deli! Their sandwiches are the bomb. But let me tell you, not all Eric's Daily spots are equal. It really depends on the chef. Anyway, my boyfriend and I grabbed our Abbot's Habbit Sandwiches, and man, they were delicious as always. Oh, and I gotta give a shoutout to the guy at the cashier who took our order. He was super friendly and positive. With folks like him around, this place is gonna keep rocking. Thanks, wherever you are! You're awesome!“
“Amazing ox tail udon. Very tender. I added a poached egg to it. Broth clean and not salty. We also had chicken karaage and fried whole squid, which was also tender and flavorful. If you are into udon, this is the place to get something that is different from the others. This place gets busy so it's a good idea to get there at opening.“
“Ox 9 is a classic chinese noodle restaurant that serves all types of noodles from soup based, to stir fried, with a variety of thin, thick, round, up to 6 different choices. The servers are pretty attentive and will always refill your water without asking and the food comes out pretty fast. Menu’s are via scanning from a QR code and is easy to order online. But you pay in person instead of doing it via onlinezPlenty of seats but there might be a wait at high times.Parking lot is also kinda small but the lot next door/ residential down the street has availability as a last resort.Would recommend if you need a noodle fix!“
“Stopped in this place while I was down in the area. Hiking for the day. Surprisingly, it was a delicious, fast and well-serviced restaurant. Walked in to find updated decor. Multiple staff members willing and to quickly help. The food was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are large.“
“Pho Quest Stop #77It’s been awhile since I’ve tried a new pho spotMy favorite spot Pho Ha Noi now has locations in San Jose, Cupertino, Palo Alto and Fremont and is a successful chainToday was a chance to try a mom and pop shopPho Nhy is on McKee Road and the options here are sparse. The prior pho spot was one of my lowest rated pho spots I had triedBut I heard this new establishment and the nearby Duc Huong sandwiches had renewed food cred of the areaTheir signature is the beef stew which I really enjoyed with flat rice noodles and the pho oxtailSoup flavors were solid and both fresh flat and regular rice noodles are availableThe Hainan chicken was a bit lean but overall this is a surprising find for the area? Bo Kho $16.50 ~ Beef Stew, Large, Rice Noodles / Pho Tai Duio Bo $15 ~ Large Pho with Flank Steak and Oxtail / Hainan Chicken with Rice $16?Pho Nhy (San Jose, CA)My Pho Quest Rankings: [San Jose, unless noted]============1) Pho Ha Noi - BEST Pho (Overall & Northern Style)2) Pho Cong Ly - BEST Oxtail Pho3) Pho Y1 - BEST Pho (Southern Style)4) Pho Kim Long - BEST Chicken Pho5) Turtle Tower (SF) - Pho Dac Biet6) Pho Ga Hung - BEST Cau Bun Rau Muong7) Pho 79 (Garden Grove) - Pho Dac Biet8) Pho Papa - Pho Dac Biet with Special Beef Short Rib9) Pho Tick Tock - Pho Tick Tock*10) PHO NGUYEN (Milpitas) - Pho Nguyen Dac Biet w/ fresh wide noodlesDining is indoor only and credit cards are accepted“
“You can't get better than this. The place is super clean. Easy parking. Friendly lady at the counter. And the Gyro I ordered was the best I've ever had. AMAZING! I ordered the Super Gyro. Omg. So delicious!!! Added... Greek fries are wonderful! But my gyro on a Monday evening was dry... the meat also tasted left over/ not fresh... and crazy salty. Won't change my 5 star rating based on this, unless this happens again.Vegetarian options: Great falafel for vegetariansParking: Plenty of free parkingWheelchair accessibility: Yep... it is.“
“Amazing and authentic BBH. Broth has deep beef and lemongrass flavor. Large portions with lots of different proteins including fresh cha Lua, thinly slice beef shank, and pork belly. Would be a 5 star if the satee was slightly more rich in garlic, lemongrass and spice.“
“If you love authentic TRUE VIETNAMESE tasting pho come here ! It is so delicious and nutritious and it leaves you wanting more. The number 14 is filet mignon with rice and vegetable sides and mini pho broth soup. Impeccable. All the ladies as well are sooo so kind ! Shout out to them ??? I suggest this place “
“Went here because the other popular pho ga spot down the street closed at 8pm. This is a great alternative. The rotisserie chicken was great but not as good. However the dry hue tieu really stood out. The gravy-ish sauce was delicious and the side of soup came with a large beef on the bone. The best part was the very friendly service and energetic atmosphere. It's a fun alternative for pho ga plus they have tasty other dishes like bun Bo hu and hue tieu.“
“Food was soo good and comforting. We got the old pot sauerkraut fish soup and coconut lava balls. Both were super yummy and fulfilling and a really good portion size. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised by the coconut lava balls - crispy on the outside and warm and lightly sweet on the inside side, with tapioca in the filling as well. It was really well balanced so it didn't feel heavy even though it was lightly fried. Will definitely be one of my go to desserts. Service was efficient and friendly. But don't expect anything too attentive as it gets pretty busy and they have a lot of customers to serve. Ambiance was a bustling, family-friendly environment. You can tell that they get a lot of regulars and people come here to eat good food. A bit of a hidden gem. Parking - there is a small parking lot but it can get filled up pretty quickly. I circled around and was lucky enough to catch someone leaving and take their spot, but can be a bit of a struggle.“
“So much deliciousness in our order, from the Garlic String Bean to the Shanghai Pan Fried Soup Dumpling (6) to the Har Gow Shrimp Dumpling (8) to the Pork Dumpling W. Napa Cabbage ALL EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. However, the Salt & Pepper Fish, though very tasty, had an oddly sweet-tasting batter - just weird. But overall, this place serves amazingly good food.“
“A great suggestion from a friend. We ordered pho and a bun. The pho had an authentic flavor and the bun had warm noodles. The attention to detail in food is commendable. Even the lettuce was not iceburg so you weren't splashed each time you had a bite. The pho broth had a good flavor, like it was cooking all morning. Next time I may try bun bo Hue.“
“Seafood Tofu is pretty good. I always get spicy for my soup and they make it spicy enough for the kick and not overpowering. The broth had the right taste of the cooked seafood of shrimp and clams. They add on egg that pretty much cook though so breaking the yolk wasn't possible. Maybe I'll ask them to stir it next time or leave it out. It comes with purple rice and add an order of spicy cucumber cause I didn't see Kim Chi on machine to order. I'd definitely be coming back.“
“Great and friendly staff. They are quiet efficient even though it was busy when we came in. The place was clean and well maintained. We tried several sandwiches and I like the Turkey with Pesto the most. The House Salad was excellent. I highly recommend this place for dine in and grabbing healthy meals!?“
“This restaurant serves amazing Guangzhou style rice noodle rolls (肠粉), which focus more on the rice wrapper rather than the protein inside the roll. Appetizers are also worth trying. For example, the pork liver is fresh and delicious. The environment is a little bit too noisy.“
“Best experience ever. Manuel is the owner/operator and really helped with with my company’s group order. The order via DoorDash failed and I ended up calling the restaurant direct and placing the order for 12 people to be delivered in less than 1.5 hours. He was super easy to communicate with, the sandwiches/soups were awesome, and it was all delivered on time by a peppy driver Saul :). I love Erik’s deli on my own, but definitely recommend for catering and group orders as well. It also cost less to order direct than via Door Dash. Thank you, Manuel and Erik’s Deli Team!“
“I do like this place a lot for good Viet food. There is ample parking as the place is in the corner next to Nob Hill grocery shopping center. Starbucks is also nearby. For us service has always been great whether we eat there or get food for pick up. The vegetarian tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce is amazing. We also usually order the Lemongrass tofu over white rice dish. The folks here always give us extra fortune cookies for our 3 year old Izzy. I would recommend this place for the food and service.“
“Food was okay. Pretty expensive for banh mi. Amount of food for price was not good. Pho was good. Thai tea wasn’t as sweet as expected and with too much ice. I had requested light ice. Overall I would recommend customers just stick to pho here.“
“I had a wonderful time at this restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and informative, making us feel right at home. They even went out of their way to ensure the child in our group had a great experience, providing a fun kid's plate and sprinkles on their ice cream. As for the food, it was amazing! The roti and drunken noodles were particularly delicious - definitely must-tries.Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality.“
“Excellent lunch! Clean, fast, and really good food. Kung Pao Chicken comes with hot & sour soup, two wontons, and white rice. Nice proportions. Tea comes in a metal cup that keeps it hot for a very long time. $11.99 lunch makes it very affordable. Open since '99, I'll be back. Nice Job!“
“I've been here a few times. For dine in and take out. Typically get the chicken pho, spring rolls or brisket phi. All are delicious. Generous portion. Quick service.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly place. Nothing specifically for kids but a casual enough environment that the little ones will be comfortable. Saw quite a few families with kids last time I went.“
“Food quantity ok but quality not worth the price.Long version: Ordered a combo of brisket, pork and tenderloin. Definitely enough food for 2. Around $50 per person. The meat quality is a little subpar.TBH I prefer 10 butcher, which only cost $20 more per person, but provides much, much better quality beef.“
“I was killing time in Valley Fair and have always heard about Ox 9 Lanzhou Handpulled Noodles and loved they had a location in a mall food-court! I ordered the Lanzhou Handpulled Noodles Soup with the medium round noodles. The noodles and meat both tasted very fresh, and I loved adding the chili oil to the broth. There weren't that many people in line when I went, so my food came out very fast. I wish my area had malls with food courts as good as Valley Fair!“
“I come to this place with my boyfriend every Friday, it's our tradition. I get the same sandwich everytime, but they know my order and exactly how I like it made. It's always a great experience and they always get your food to you very quickly! I look forward to coming here every week and getting my sandwich :)“
“I was recommended by a friend to try the restaurant's duck noodle soup. My family went with 4 adults and 1 baby and the service arranged seats very quickly and enthusiastically. We ordered rice vermicelli soup with bamboo shoots and duck salad x 4 ?The food is served quickly, the noodles are served with a dipping sauce that goes very well with the duck salad. I ordered sugarcane juice to drink together, it was delicious. the price is very reasonable. My family will definitely come back when they visit San Jose“
“Excellent flavors in all the dishes we ordered. Tom kha with chicken, pumpkin curry with beef, pad see eew with shrimp and eggplant basil stir fry with shrimp. The sauces were out of this world. Shrimp succulent and perfectly cooked. Only shortcomings are that the beef was a tad tough and the noodles overdone that they were completely broken up… but it was so delicious that it didn’t stop us.“
“VERY complete menu with a friendly staff. We visited on a Sat night and there were plenty of open tables at 6:30pm. We ordered three dishes plus steamed rice and everything was table side within 5 minutes. Desserts are pretty expensive as is the beer at $9 per 12 oz bottle. All the flowers inside the restaurant are for sale. Nice touch!Parking: Huge parking lot that part of the shopping center. Plenty of free parking.“
“Food was awesome. I’ve eaten at several Chinese restaurants in the area including some of my favorites, Queens in Mountain View, Grandmas kitchen, Soong Soong, and blue sky (my favorite but too far from my home)This one is going into the rotation. I got the sour cabbage and fish tofu soup. Tofu and fish were soft and flavorful. Second was the cauliflower with pork in hotpot. Again subtle delicious flavor with tender pork. Last was the cumin lamb. It smells very fragrant and when you eat it you taste the cumin but it isn’t overwhelming. It was a great balance of flavor.“
“First time here...ordered their brisket with tripe pho. And their pork rice plate without rice only veg. Pho had a tasty broth and the brisket was lean and soft. My grilled pork was yummy. Their picked veggies was delish. Service was spot on and they had a nice family style restaurant feel.“
“A place like Erik's is a rarity nowadays! It's easy to pick healthy options and have a lunch you feel good about, and the staff are FAST and super nice and thoughtful. Everything I love about a grab-n-go lunch spot. I've come here over ten times and will eat it over any fast food lunch spot any day.“
“Honestly one of my favorite pho spots in the South Bay! The staff were nice and friendly. I ordered the pho #1 combination which is my go to when I come here. It has everything from tripe, tendon, brisket, steak, meat balls, and ox tail. Yum! The broth was literally made out of ox tail and you can taste the freshness of the soup. You can tell it has been cooking for hours. The meat was so tender as well. My friends and I also ordered the spring rolls, which was so fresh and delicious.“
“I went here twice, and tried the Banh beo, Mi Quang, and Bun Cha Cua. I would recommend the Banh Beo, as there were 8 pieces and delicious. The mi quang and bun cha cua were decent, but I probably wouldn't get it again here. They also have a tray of sauces and they were pretty good.Service was decent. It's located in a plaza so plenty of parking.I would rate it a 3.75/5, rounding up to a 4/5.“
“Having had pho in many places in the bay area, this was probably the best so far. Other placed use the wrong noodle, the wrong ingredients, or downright the wrong style of soup for pho. The noodles here were not too expensive, 3 bowls totaling about $60 with tip. Here, you have the choice of noodle options, the flat traditional noodle, or the thin angel hair pho noodle. I ordered the angel hair thin rice noodle as this is what I usually order. The soup broth was done well, with a decent amount of meat and noodles. The spring rolls were large and very satisfying. The service is done with via robot or by human. The robot is very accurate, pulling up to mere inches from the table and turning to allow you to grab your order! Very innovative and fresh new idea to use robots to deliver pho.The restaurant itself is nestled in San Jose, right on King Road. It's in a VERY popular Vietnamese little strip mall, so parking may be tight. Inside, it's fairly loud, with music playing, people talking, and robots delivering food. If I lived near here, this would compete for one of the most regular places I would frequent! Give it a try!“
“A quick light grub. Health and filling. Got the Turkey Sandwich Meal, included bag chips, soup and a fountain drink. The staff is extremely nice and helpful with your selection. Clean and a pleasant quiet spot for a nice little gathering with a buddy or a family for good foods.“
“Ordered Laziji to go, too much msg, spices taste old, not as good as Local Chengdu.Hmart and Ranch 99 now sell many kinds of fresh noodles, making cooking noodles soup at home quite easy and cheap.Restaurants should make more complex noodle soup or fry / grill dishes to attract customers.“
“We order from here at least once a week. The food is delicious and affordable. The service is quick too. This isn't really the place you would come to sit down at eat bc it is very small but it is perfect for takeout. If you're looking for a new Chinese takeout spot this is the place for you.Our go to favs:Mongolian beefShrimp fried riceGarlic chicken Combo chow mein“
“It had been ages since we got ourselves to an Olive Garden - the one close to home closed. No surprise after all these years. As good as ever! Our hostess, Grace A, made the experience more enjoyable.Perhaps we will make the drive to this OG more often.“
“Better than I was expecting beef noodle soup from essentially a food court adjacent to a grocery store. The beef was soft, the noodles were ok and the broth was simple but good. Also, service was pretty quick and the portions generous. For my beef noodle soup, I paid extra, think $1.99, to have broccoli added.I wish the tables were cleaner though, but it is like a food court, so this issue extends to all the restaurants in here.“
“The coffee here is AMAZING. The sip club is totally worth it. Also, so far the food has been great, but I've only tried a few of the bagels and two different cookies. This location, of the three we've tried, has been the best so far, and here's why:EVERY employee at this shop was so friendly, the service was great all around. Made our morning, for real. The place was clean, and the noise level was low, even though the place was fairly full. The parking was easy and plentiful. If I had to make a complaint, maybe there could be a little more shade out on the patio seating? I guess? But that's not a big enough deal to lose a star.“
“Family favorite. Quiet, plenty of parking, excellent, delicious, fresh & pretty food. Sauces are wonderful. We love the ahi appetizers. Kids like being able to choose their sides and sauces. The fish and chips is super crispy and delicious. The grilled fish with the butter sauce is perfect. Testarossa chardonnay is buttery and wonderful. Staff are charming and friendly, service is quick but not rushed.“
