“This is a hot dog specialty place - you can get krout dogs (my favorite), chili dogs and more. Lots of sauer kraout on the krout dog. I was able to order a vegi dog too. The garlic parmesan tots are also great.Service was fast and friendly, We ordered through the outdoor window, but there is dining inside too.Vegetarian options: They offer a vegetarian corn dog. Does not compare to the real thing, but it's an option.”

“Solid spot for brunch in Los Gatos! They have both indoor and outdoor patio dining. The outdoor dining area has heat lamps, and they'll open up the awning when it gets too sunny out! I got the Crab Souffle Omelette, and I really enjoyed it! The omelette itself was huge! I was impressed with just how fluffy it was--way better than an ordinary omelette! The Crab Souffle omelette is filled with crab, avocado, tomato, mushrooms, and topped with hollandaise sauce. All of the souffle omelettes come with a bakery item and herb potatoes and grits. I love that you can get a specialty bakery item like their carrot walnut bread or raspberry coffee cake in addition to their selection of breads/English muffin/bagel. You can even add their cinnamon roll, but it will cost you an extra $5. I recommend getting their carrot walnut bread! It's tasty--a little savory and a little sweet--with a great combination of textures. I tried some of the raspberry coffee cake but did not like it as much. I would also recommend getting the herb potatoes instead of the grits. The herb potatoes were quite yummy! We were expecting the grits to be like cheesy grits or shrimp and grits (something with flavor) but these ended up just being plain grits. So unless that's what you're looking for, go with the potatoes! Service is pretty fast and efficient. Parking is street parking or park in one of the nearby public lots. There are a bunch of these in Downtown Los Gatos, so I've never had to walk too far!”

“This is the real Italian restaurant in all of San Francisco Bay, very good service by professional and Italian waiters, an excellent menu of real excellent Italian cuisine, a real treat and Italian music.The owner himself came to our table several times, which was very warm and friendly, maintaining a pleasant conversation.It really is a quality restaurant that I highly recommend, as a couple, with family or for an event, I will come back very often.The only point to raise is that it is very noisy, the room has canteen acoustics and lacks warmth on the other side because it is very difficult to hear each other.It's a shame that the enclosed terrace was closed, I think it's more welcoming for a couple's dinner. “Family favorite. Quiet, plenty of parking, excellent, delicious, fresh & pretty food. Sauces are wonderful. We love the ahi appetizers. Kids like being able to choose their sides and sauces. The fish and chips is super crispy and delicious. The grilled fish with the butter sauce is perfect. Testarossa chardonnay is buttery and wonderful. Staff are charming and friendly, service is quick but not rushed.”

“By far my favorite Indian cuisine restaurant to the point where I won’t go anywhere else if I want this type of food. Service is always good, food even better. I have been going here going on 3 years and I have never had a bad experience with dine in or takeout. Speaking of takeout I feel it’s worth mentioning that their takeout food travels well and tastes the same at home than it does in restaurant. 10/10 12/10 15/10 love it. Only issue I would see is maybe parking, but I’ve always found a spot somewhere.”

“My husband wanted Vietnamese coffee and our friend saw this new place nearby. The Vietnamese coffee was good, especially the egg cream topping. (Our friend also got this and thought the coffee could be stronger). We also got the yellow yacht (mango banana smoothie) and dragonberry fusion (fruit tea). The smoothie was a win! My son really enjoyed this. It was not too sweet and nice and creamy. The drinks were really pretty with the small ice cubes that they use. We waited outside because we had dogs, and when our drinks were done, the barista brought them to us! That was service beyond expectations that we appreciated but definitely don't expect. We would come here again to try more!”

Chez Philippe picks you up from a great neighborhood and instantly sends you into a classy, French storybook that is packed with homeliness, and none of the haughty chin up.We visited CP (Chez Philippe) on a slightly drizzly brunch hour on a Sunday. We were in Los Gatos for their Sunday Street Market but the drizzle made us choose an early lunch. 4.6 stars on Google is no easy feat so we were excited to know there were seats availalable.Unlike typical French restaurants where everything is snooty, if not unnecessarily greasy, we were welcomed as if we were visiting a distant relative in their beautiful cottage, somehow in the outskirts of Paris. The huge windows let in the wet sunlight with window-side tables occupied by a loving elderly couple... a perfect scene that sets the mood. Chef Philippe (I would think he is) seems he's moved over from France and truly gave us a loving welcome and intro to the restaurant. The interior is literally a picture book with various corners all carrying their unique stories but all strung together with the air they share.By the time we were ordering, our mood was already soft and I was sipping on delicious coffee. We went with the Onion Soup and the Escargot, as well as sweet crepes, etc. The onion soup inches near perfection in terms of the depth of taste and the wholesomeness it provides. The star of the show was the escargot though. I do not know what black magic they used to create the garlic butter sauce the escargots sat in but it was pure heaven. Just dipping fresh baguette into the escarbot pits and chewing on it simply made my day. At that point, my review was already decided. It was one of the happiest and tastiest experiences I've had in the Bay Area in a while. And mind you, I wasn't even that hungry.The mussels were fabulous with distinct white wine sauce. The French Fries were clearly made with love. And the strawberry crepes, again, were quite good, although you really can't go too wrong here.Chez Philippe truly is a gem in Los Gatos. I believe it is relatively new but I don't come here too often. Either way, what a wonderful restaurant. And we'll absolutely be back.Parking: Find public parking in Los Gatos downtown. There are few lots parallel to Santa Cruz Ave, as well as if you get lucky, you can street park on Santa Cruz itself.”

“This is probably the most authentic tapas place you can find in the bay area.Their cold items are exceptional. So are the rest of the warm tapas items. They have only 1 dessert menu and they have perfected it.We got two anchovi plates, pulpo, oyster mushroom, goat cheese, chorizo omlette and bacon wrapped dates. Everything is absolutely delicious.The service was excellent. You can tell they care about the food they serve you. They prepare the food as the order comes in and the wait is well worth.”

“This place was good and I mean like really good food. I'm giving it a four because I think it would be more appropriate to call it a "lounge", not a tavern. Everything is highfalutin, which accompanies the prices. A tavern should be cheap, mainly serve beer, and probably have a pub food list. Again, this fits the stereotypical image that wants to be painted in this part of CA.”

“My friend hosted her bridal shower here, and the service was impeccable. They decorated the room and provided a delicious motley of drinks and food. The waitresses would also be helpful and consistently check in throughout the event. I got the iced latte, lychee mimosa, stuffed mushrooms, margarita pizza, italian wedding soup, the tagliatelle with truffle cream sauce, and a nonalcoholic frosé. Everything (esp the stuffed mushrooms and tagliatelle) was fantastic.”

“Let me start off by saying I never write reviews but feel compelled to do one after our visit.Testarossa for the win! My wife and I (mostly her) have traveled from the East Coast to the West Coast and abroad to visit vineyards or attend tastings. Saying this to say, we know a little about quality wine. We stumbled upon this vineyard while we were in California for a wedding. On an free day prior to the wedding, I was in charge of finding and booking tastings for us (mostly her). I had three tastings lined up for the day and Testarossa was stop #1. I read all the reviews to make a reservation so we did (and highly recommend). We decided on the tour (also highly recommended). It was raining that day, but the sun peeked out for about 7.4 seconds so we optimistically kept the reservation hoping for better weather. The rain continued - c'est la vie. But thankfully, we met our guide, Missy Elliot (not the rapper). She was/is the most knowledgeable, personable, amiable tour guide we ever met. She braved the elements for us, snuck in a few well timed anecdotes, and knew the history of the vineyard as if she lived there. She made Testarossa feel like family. The place was amazing and the wine was fantastic! The nicknames for the silos were hilarious. We sipped, lost track of time, and bought 4-6 bottles of their fine wine. Cannot remember specific amount due to the copious amounts of alcohol in our system. I accidentally broke a wine class and Missy was quick to come with a spray bottle that removed all traces out of my tan shirt. Testarossa is a gem and kudos to them for hiring Missy. She was the bright spot on a rainy day. Needless to say we didn't make it to our next destinations. After the tour, we headed to their patio for a snack. In my humble opinion, Testarossa is better than some of those pretentious vineyards to the north. Do yourself a favor, add them to your travel plans, you won't be disappointed.”

“Forbes Mill is a great restaurant for a special occasion. We came here for my husband's birthday, and Forbes Mill did not disappoint. When I made my reservations I noted that it was a birthday celebration. When calling me to confirm, they asked for the name (and spelling) of the one celebrating the birthday. When we arrived they had printed their 5-course prix fixe with my husband's name on it which was a nice touch. Food: We started with the Caesar salad. The server asked if we wanted the anchovies with it, and as an anchovy-lover, I said "Bring it on!" The white anchovies were glorious. We then moved on to cocktails. I had a Manhattan, which was oddly sweet for a Manhattan - not my fave version. Husband had a Toki Highball which was surprisingly light and refreshing. For our meal I went with the Surf and Turf - 6 oz filet with a lobster tail, which included a comfy and cheesy Potatoes au Gratin. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the lobster tail was delicious. My husband had the Blackened Rib Eye, which came with blue cheese butter, caramelized onions, and cabernet demi-glace served with velvety mashed potatoes. It was a flavor bomb - who can say no to blue cheese and caramelized onions on a perfectly cooked steak? Creamed Spinach with Pancetta also made an appearance at the table (it's my go-to at any steakhouse). Dessert included a special little bundt-shaped cookie (gratis from the restaurant) for the birthday guy. We also ordered an affogato and creme brulee. Sweet and delicious, and the perfect way to top off the evening. Service and pricing: The staff here is top-notch. The service is well-choreographed and spot-on. Pricing? Bring your fattest wallet, because prices here are significant, although for a special occasion, it's a real treat. Overall: Forbes Mill is not the best place for a vegetarian but if you're a carnivore you'll be blissed out beyond compare. From the food, wine, and service, you won't be disappointed.”

“I had Mr Pickles yesterday (Campbell location) and my husband took one bite of my sandwich and wanted to come back for his own haha! So we are back today. The server suggested Number 9 (turkey) on their Dutch bread, lightly toasted and it was so good! Chefs kiss! Portion size is huge! I can never finish an entire sandwich in one sitting, which is perfect because that means I have something to look forward to later. Highly recommend the garlic spread and Baja sauce for a kick. “A great bakery located in Los Gatos on W Main Street/University Ave. My wife and I have been coming here off and on for years. They have street parking or parking lot in the back. Nicely decorated, yet simple. They also sell bakery accessories, etc. The customer service is nice, helpful, and friendly. Grab a number because they service by ticket numbers and get there early because they do run out of items. They are famous for their banana cake along with their banana cupcakes - moist, light, fluffy, and topped with a sweetened frosting. A must get!!! In addition, they sell whole cakes, loaves, cupcakes, cookies, etc.”

“Really delicious food in a very nice setting. As a vegan, it was really great to be able to try a vegan version of one of the main dishes. The complementary pickles and sauces are a very nice touch, and raise the authenticity a notch. The main dishes are relatively expensive, BUT they are generous, and if you can see in the photo, very finely seasoned! A main plate with a choice of two sides! I definitely ended up with leftovers. I just wish they had a vegan version of their borekas, and maybe a vegan version of topped style hummus. In addition to the pickles and extra tahini on request, one other point I was very impressed with is the bread - freshly made and very fluffy, not the boring bagged/frozen kind you normally find in American Mediterranean restaurants. Falafel was Goldilocks: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, not too dry, not too oily.The staff was very kind and attentive, but be aware it's in a busy area and the restaurant gets crowded, it may not be your best option if you're in a rush. Having said that, I enjoyed chilling out on the patio, slowly enjoying my food on a sunny day without being rushed.Vegetarian options: Vegan kebabs”

“The food was good. There was some smell as soon as you entered the place. It was one type of cleaner mixed with dirt (lingering smell). Just a couple of employees working but they were efficient. They did not announce the name of the order. I saw the order ready sitting there for a couple of minutes before I asked if it was my order and it was. They did do a good job at adding silverware and napkins. Good for take out, not for dine in.”

Street parking is available, but can be limited. You can park at several parking lots by the place and walk over as well. Can't wait to try their açaí bowls!”

“Good ole Classic Burger of Los Gatos, still such a great place to come for lunch or around dinner time too. This is our local hamburger joint thats not a corporate entity at all. Extremely consistent food and service here for sure. Overall a good value i feel with the prices of fast food like TB or BK now being 12 bucks on average. Lunch specials vary in prices per day which is cool with me. I usually get burgers or the patty melt which is hella good too. Indoor and outdoor seating as well, the restroom is out back FYI too. You can order inside or outside if ya want your food to-go as well. Grab napkins and ketchup or mustard to the left of the register once you get your meal.”

“We needed a quick lunch by Noddin elementary and Pho Spot was closed Wednesdays. The food was so yummy at this food truck. We had an asada super burrito and pollo Gordita. The Gordita came with grilled onions, grilled jalapeño and salsa. Yes, only cash or Zelle. They had many phone orders, while we ate at the shaded tables around 11:45 am. So next time we are in a rush, I will call. So delicious we can't wait to come again.”

“Forbes Mill is a great restaurant for a special occasion. We came here for my husband's birthday, and Forbes Mill did not disappoint. When I made my reservations I noted that it was a birthday celebration. When calling me to confirm, they asked for the name (and spelling) of the one celebrating the birthday. When we arrived they had printed their 5-course prix fixe with my husband's name on it which was a nice touch. Food: We started with the Caesar salad. The server asked if we wanted the anchovies with it, and as an anchovy-lover, I said "Bring it on!" The white anchovies were glorious. We then moved on to cocktails. I had a Manhattan, which was oddly sweet for a Manhattan - not my fave version. Husband had a Toki Highball which was surprisingly light and refreshing. For our meal I went with the Surf and Turf - 6 oz filet with a lobster tail, which included a comfy and cheesy Potatoes au Gratin. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the lobster tail was delicious. My husband had the Blackened Rib Eye, which came with blue cheese butter, caramelized onions, and cabernet demi-glace served with velvety mashed potatoes. It was a flavor bomb - who can say no to blue cheese and caramelized onions on a perfectly cooked steak? Creamed Spinach with Pancetta also made an appearance at the table (it's my go-to at any steakhouse). Dessert included a special little bundt-shaped cookie (gratis from the restaurant) for the birthday guy. We also ordered an affogato and creme brulee. Sweet and delicious, and the perfect way to top off the evening. Service and pricing: The staff here is top-notch. The service is well-choreographed and spot-on. Pricing? Bring your fattest wallet, because prices here are significant, although for a special occasion, it's a real treat. Overall: Forbes Mill is not the best place for a vegetarian but if you're a carnivore you'll be blissed out beyond compare. From the food, wine, and service, you won't be disappointed.”

“Discovered this quaint little restaurant on Friday, March 21. Happy hour runs from 3 to 5 PM made it just before they changed over to their dinner menu. Very nice and inviting environment. Jesse was our bartender. He was very attentive. We decided to sit at the bar area. Old-fashioned was delicious, the brussels sprout appetizer cooked well and the Chipotle Aloli was complimentary to the dish. The spring wraps were very fresh . Shareable portions. Nice place to come to relax after a long week and have a cocktail and a couple of appetizers.”

“Really delicious food in a very nice setting. As a vegan, it was really great to be able to try a vegan version of one of the main dishes. The complementary pickles and sauces are a very nice touch, and raise the authenticity a notch. The main dishes are relatively expensive, BUT they are generous, and if you can see in the photo, very finely seasoned! A main plate with a choice of two sides! I definitely ended up with leftovers. I just wish they had a vegan version of their borekas, and maybe a vegan version of topped style hummus. In addition to the pickles and extra tahini on request, one other point I was very impressed with is the bread - freshly made and very fluffy, not the boring bagged/frozen kind you normally find in American Mediterranean restaurants. Falafel was Goldilocks: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, not too dry, not too oily.The staff was very kind and attentive, but be aware it's in a busy area and the restaurant gets crowded, it may not be your best option if you're in a rush. Having said that, I enjoyed chilling out on the patio, slowly enjoying my food on a sunny day without being rushed.Vegetarian options: Vegan kebabs”

Nicely decorated, yet simple. They also sell bakery accessories, etc. The customer service is nice, helpful, and friendly. Grab a number because they service by ticket numbers and get there early because they do run out of items. They are famous for their banana cake along with their banana cupcakes - moist, light, fluffy, and topped with a sweetened frosting. A must get!!! In addition, they sell whole cakes, loaves, cupcakes, cookies, etc.”

“This place is fantastic. The food was spectacular and inventive. Things like pumpkin seed habanero salsa, and very interesting salmon tacos. Also, bacon and pistachio guacamole is an amazing gift to world cuisine. The carne asada y hongos is the perfect dish after a 10 mi walk. I can speak with some authority on that. The service was very attentive, and the perfect margarita matches its name and was expertly balanced between citrus and tequila.”
