“We had Big Ruub and Zach's Taco Catering for my 50th birthday party this past weekend. They were spot on with regards to arrival time, the taco service was right on time as well. We did the 3 meat choice with "The Works" package for 50 guests. Our meats were the marinated chicken, carne asada, and carnitas. While we enjoyed all of the meats, our guests could not stop raving about the carnitas! Those carnitas were straight fire. I'll admit I was a little sad when the leftovers that we had were chicken and carne asada. I wanted some more of those carnitas at my midnight taco craving and the carnitas were all gone!!!! We will be looking for more tacos from these guys soon. Service was prompt, they cleaned up afterwards and packed the leftovers for us. Our party continued well on into the evening, and we noshed on more tacos and fixings well after they had completed their service. Just an amazing addition to our party. “Some of the best tacos in San Jose. I say this as a person that can only mostly eat chicken though so take my review as a grain of salt if you're a red meat eater. The chicken tacos are the best. No chunky, chewy pieces of meat that you'd get at other spots. The chicken is finely chopped and flavorful. One thing to note is that the average taco in San Jose is no longer $1-2 dollars but sometimes more. But this place does have deals. For example, you can get 3 regular tacos (just meat, cilantro, and onion with salsa) for $8. They have crispy tacos and super tacos. The super tacos have avocado and pico. My favorite are the Cali tacos. It's basically a super taco with fries on top. My partner loves their asada and al pastor. My sister tied the birria and loved it. She specifically had the quesabirria tacos and loved it. Their peanut butter horchata is bomb. Sounds weird but I swear, it's good and not overwhelmingly sweet or peanut buttery. It's just right. I came here after finding out that Spartan's was closed and my friend said this place is always open on holidays, so that's nice! Close by is the Grand Century / Vietnam Town plaza.
