We come to San Jose every year and this is a must visit restaurant. It's always busy and filled with locals. The prices are great for the amount if food you're served. Watch that you don't order too much because they give you so much! Lots of staff milling about, channing takes for the next group coming in. Everyone is helpful and your food comes out quickly. See you next year!
This is THE BEST local seafood restaurant in San Jose. We always share the hot seafood Mocajete. They have live music sometimes - It's an open air restaurant and pretty much all locals. We have never eaten anything but the Seafood Mocajete because we absolutely love it...pulpo, camarones, pescado with strips of cactus and melted queso blanco served with soft corn tortillas - Everything else looks great too, but this is our favorite. This was recommended as an authentic restaurant by our air bnb hosts. It’s a massive space with football playing on the TV and a vast menu. We didn’t know what to order so asked advice, ended up with prawns cooked 4 ways. Prawns wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese was unusual, my fave was the coconut shrimp.
