Recommended by Armando at the Royal Solaris, who is a great resource. Seemed to be a favorite place for locals. Good food, great margaritas too!

This was recommended as an authentic restaurant by our air bnb hosts. It’s a massive space with football playing on the TV and a vast menu. We didn’t know what to order so asked advice, ended up with prawns cooked 4 ways. Prawns wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese was unusual, my fave was the coconut shrimp. This was a fun restaurant ginormous portions so do go there hungry and don’t over order. We had to get a bag to go on 1 course. I really loved the family feeling here, and the 10 year old son was also in an apron helping clear tables which was very sweet.

Wonderful shrimp prep. Our group of 4 each selected a different prep on the shrimp. All were excellent, but my shrimp cocktail topped with a half avocado was next level. Enjoy!

We come to San Jose every year and this is a must visit restaurant. It's always busy and filled with locals. The prices are great for the amount if food you're served. Watch that you don't order too much because they give you so much! Lots of staff milling about, channing takes for the next group coming in. Everyone is helpful and your food comes out quickly. See you next year!

It was our first time in Cabo and San Jose. This restaurant was highly recommended by the locals and had a good rating on trip advisor. So, we went. I ordered a shrimp dish that had the shrimp prepared 3 ways, fried, wrapped in bacon, and fried with some kind of sauce. The shrimp were large but, looked and tasted like it was a frozen product. Yuck! My husband ordered a whole grouper dish. It would have been great if the fish hadn’t been fried too hard. Our friends ordered the shrimp and had the same Yuck response and a fried fish dish that had the same Yuck, frozen fish stick taste. Also the sides with the meals included a salad, rice w/ veggies (actually pretty decent) and mashed potatoes. I didn’t get the rice AND the mashed potatoes (which tasted like boxed potatoes). Not a good combo there. We’d never order those meals again!!! The best most delicious was the pico and salsa with crackers which was part of the restaurant’s appetizer (free for the table) and the snapper rinds I ordered! They were so good that EVERYONE ate those instead of their own meals! Sooooo, the snapper rinds was a hit.

Food is good. Service is a bit slow. Atmosphere is OK. I visited the place with my family. We all liked the food and had about the same feedback.

This is THE BEST local seafood restaurant in San Jose. We always share the hot seafood Mocajete. They have live music sometimes - It's an open air restaurant and pretty much all locals. We have never eaten anything but the Seafood Mocajete because we absolutely love it...pulpo, camarones, pescado with strips of cactus and melted queso blanco served with soft corn tortillas - Everything else looks great too, but this is our favorite. It's about $25 US and serves 3 or 4 people though my husband and I eat the entire thing and are always absolutely stuffed.

We enjoy coming here at least once every time we come down to Cabo, very simple local atmosphere and the seafood is great. I prefer getting the Fried Red Snapper here instead of The Office

Shrimp party is delicious the ceviche was good but you do have to spice it up a bit. My main concern is the some of the wait staff . I did not find them very kind or respectful. I am not a local Mexican person, but I do live here and I do like to be treated with kindness. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel that here. If the staff had been nicer, I would’ve left a better tip

The food was good and the portions are generous. The service was iffy at best. The waitress was upset and annoyed, he was not in the mood to explain the dishes nor assist us with the selection.

This is our favorite spot to go to when we are in the Los Cabos area. This is a locals place the seafood is fantastic always fresh. We went there twice on our last trip, I had Huachinango frito, and Pulpo Estrellado, my wife had shrimp cocktails both times, absolutely delicious! The staff is great, we usually ask for a table where Benito is the waiter super nice guy! I highly recommend El Toro Guero in San Jose!

No idea why this place has 4.5 star reviews. It is average at best. The food was disappointing. Crab tostada was terrible. The enormous serving of ceviche was bland. The service was acceptable but not very friendly. The atmosphere is loud. This was the worst meal we had in Cabo. That said, we had a good time and enjoyed being entertained by the locals singing at the table next to us. It’s not all bad, but when you can eat well in the same town for the same price, why go here?

We ate here on a suggestion from a local shop owner. It did not disappoint. All of the food was excellent and we’ve been there twice now. Best Ceviche we’ve ever tasted. The Guacamole is fresh made and outstanding (I think the avocados down here are just better). Giant, delicious margaritas. Service is friendly and fast. If in San Jose Del Cabo, don’t pass it up.
