“Some of the best Indian food I've had in the bay area. First, I've got to mention dessert. The kheer was amazing. The fried shrimp appetizer is great - crispy without too much batter. The sauces with the papadums are rich and thick and flavorful. The Manchurian gobi was good but a bit saucier than I prefer. I can't wait to go back and try more things.“

“update July 2026 : they have maintained the same quality of food over the years which is no easy feat. We love getting food picked up from their new retail location. But the website ordering can be simplified. The timings when they are open is also a bit confusing and it seems like it changes often. I was planning on picking up meals there in the evenings and I try to pick up a bit early before the evening 5 pm snacks rush begins. But it looks like the timings are changed again. The website says Not accepting Orders but the UberEats app shows it's available.
They have the delicious food and quality part down but the long wait times for food pickup/ eating-in, the changes in timings and all of that needs to be ironed out.

Older review: Delicious, hygienic food packed in compostable containers. I have tried their order-ahead and pick up option and the food quality has been consistently delicious. The food is not overly indulgent, making for a guilt-free eating out experience. Since the menu is small and made-to-order, it is all freshly made. You cannot have this in a restaurant set-up where most of the food is partially pre-made. Hope they continue making good quality food and serve retail customers.“

Personally I think the restaurant could benefit from improving the ambience - like using better utensils instead of the bamboo cups and plastic spoons for serving to attract more customers. “This is a North Indian/Punjabi-style food truck in the Santa Clara area, one of several Indian food trucks around here. When I stopped by in the afternoon, it was fairly quiet, with just a few people around and a small outdoor seating area.

I ordered dahi bhalla papdi chaat, which was fresh, tangy, savory, and spicy, with good-quality yogurt and chutneys. I also tried two Punjabi-style pinni laddus, which tasted homemade, rich, and packed with ghee, nuts, and other hearty ingredients.

Everything on the menu is outstanding, and it's impressive how they've maintained their loyal customer base over the years.

During my recent visit, I ordered Papri Chaat, Undhiyu, Pizza Paratha, and the Puri Thali. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Papri Chaat was especially delicious, and the Aloo Matar Sabzi was simply excellent.

“The spot has yummy large dosas. I visited around 10 AM on Sunday and it was pretty crowded.

The dosas are larger than what I have seen in other spots and are pretty tasty too.

They got my order wrong and were pretty prompt with coming in and leaving as soon after taking the order.

It's a pretty busy spot, ideally best for groups of 4. Parking is tight too, you might need to find street parking at peak times--which seems to be 10 AM.

Food: very very tasty chicken keema dosa! Chai was also very nice and piping hot as it should be on a chilly day.

Service: top notch service. Friend ordered the OG roast Dosa and didn’t realize it came with no potatoes. Upon simple explanation, and at no extra charge, they gave us a serving of potatoes for his dosa to upgrade it since we had a misunderstanding.

Price: pricey by my southern standards but for SF, not bad at all especially considering the portions. Plus the drinks were not expensive at all which was icing on the cake.
