“The food truck has been there for a while and thought of trying this time. The menu is vast variety of things from chaat to full meals. We ordered Paani Puri and Chole bhature. Both of them were extremely good.Have to say I prefer the style they have for Paani Puri and have not gotten swayed by the trend of different type of waters.Chole bhature were amazing as well. The chole were well done and bhature weren’t too oily and didn’t taste like puri.Highly recommend both these. Will try other items as well in future visits“
“So far the best Chicken Tikka Masala in the area, I hope their taste stays consistent. I am so tired of having sweet chicken tikka masala from other well rated restaurants and Im very happy to have found this place. Their other dishes were awesome too, extra spicy request is actually spicy and thats a big plus.“
“Truly amazing food ! I tried their chicken fried rice, chicken 65 and rose lassi. It serves atleast 2 people. The quantity is huge. Food is super fresh. Flavors are bang on.I’m not spice tolerant so I’d asked for the medium , I will definitely go for the mild next time.Love the food !“
“Amazing food! Ordered pani puri and Afghani soya chaap. The pani puri has three waters and the spicy water was the best. Careful, if your spice tolerance is low, coz this was Indian spicy. The Afghani chaap was yummy and exactly how we get in India. Super yummy food, keep it up!Vegetarian options: Soya chaap is really yummy and a great vegetarian option!“
“I have been going to this restaurant every week for almost 6 months now and it has always been a delightful experience.Their staff is really nice and polite and the atmosphere is very cozy. While their menu is very diverse, the dish that I have liked the most here is their thali. It is simple, home cooked, soulful food served in brass plates and it brings so much joy every time I eat it ! I highly recommend it !“
“Absolutely, here's a review for Mom's Biryani:Mom's Biryani serves up delicious and authentic Indian biryanis that won't disappoint. The portions are generous, enough to satisfy even the heartiest appetites, and the value is unbeatable. But what truly sets Mom's Biryani apart is the warm hospitality and the rich, flavorful biryanis that taste like something straight out of a home kitchen.I recommend trying their Gongura Chicken Biryani for a unique and tangy experience. You won't be disappointed!“
“I went to Asian Momo House while I was insanely hungry, and it did not disappoint. I got the chicken jhol momos, and man it was good it was really fresh. The chicken was tender and seasoned and hot. I also got the chicken sausage which was also good. However it was just a Hot Dog and I expected something more. I also got a mint lemonade as a drink. While there was barely any min in the lemonade they made up with this seasoning called Chaat masala which is really refreshing and tasty. Overall would not come again, but I do recommend to others.“
“We went here on Easter Sunday for dinner. The place was clean and they have so many pizza options! We tried the Achari chicken pizza and it was absolutely delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary Easter special chocolate chip cookie-pie which was so delicious. Really good service and we’ll definitely be going again.“
“Came at lunchtime with my mom and had a wonderful time. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the lunch buffet is a really good deal with all you can eat, fresh naan, and hot chai.My mom loved the goat curry and i liked the butter chicken. Will definitely come again!!“
“I usually order spicy pav bhaji here. Its tastes really good and the chai here is a must try. There’s a transaction fee (1$ i think?) added if you swipe the card for <10$. Better to carry cash if you’re going just for the chai, which i usually do :)“
“While restaurants are really cutting down on service, this quiet little sit down place served us good food with real plates and utensils. We went on a Friday night and were the only dine in customers. We ordered a starter, a curry, some rice and naan. Food was tasty and reasonable priced, and service was good.“
“Great location, lots of space and outdoor seating. Fulfilling food - we had aloo paratha and chole bhature. The bhaturas were not oily. They were fluffy with spices and paneer.. nicely done! The paratha came with a blob of butter - and we couldn't have eaten all of it. Gurpal was a great, cordial host, prompt service!“
“Came here with a large group of friends on a weekday night. We were able to be seated right away. The parking is ample, but most of the stores next door were closed by the time we arrived (around 7:30/8). We noticed there were other large parties in the restaurant, even one celebrating a birthday with their own cake! The service was quick. There's water already set out on the table for you, although it tasted a bit off. We got mango lassis and our own dishes. I got the spicy dosa. It's huge! I'm a fan of crepes, and eating this was so fun. The spice built up; I could still taste the flavors on my tongue and smell it on my fingers for a while after the meal. The mango lassi was sour, slightly sweet, creamy and mellowed the spice out. My friends got the chicken and lamb on sizzling plates and they smelled heavenly. They had great flavor as well, and came with onions and tomatoes. One of my friends got the chicken biryani and the portion felt like it could be 3 meals, or 2 at least. It was served TOWERING in a bowl so he wasn't sure how to approach it. I'd ask for a separate bowl on the side. The menu is extensive and has great prices. I'd definitely come back!“
“This Southern Indian food restaurant is the best! Everything from idlis to dosas to chaats are very authentic. Just tried it for the first time and will definitely come back. Raja is an excellent, friendly waiter who describes dishes on the menu very clearly. Highly recommended!Parking: Parking at the restaurant and the lot next doorKid-friendliness: VeryWheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible“
“1st time being here, we really enjoyed the service and good atmosphere, coming to food buffet on weekend we have 16 main course dishes + fruits + drinks( lemonade + mango lassi), +$1 extra for panipuri. Chicken entrees are not at all good, enjoyed the mutton curry and mutton biryani. Paneer appetizer is nothing but deep fried, gobi Manchuria, methi paneer are good. They have option of garlic naan served to the table, which is very tasty and fluffy.Overall for food I would rate 3.5/5 and ambience and service 4.5/5“
“We tried varieties of dosa here, and rava dosa is really good. Podi dosas are not great, and could get better ones. Best part you ask ? Chaats. Masala Puri, Punugulu, Pani puri and irani chai are the best. Tip: ask to make masala puri spicy!“
“I ordered the ghee masala dosa and the portion was amazing for the price. Every side and the actual dosa was good. Only problem was that because they only do to-go orders, everything got half cold by the time I got home. They would do SO well if they had at least a couple of tables and chairs.“
“Best paneer pizza I've ever had. The quality has remained excellent even after so many years. The dough is made in house, the paneer is generous, the pizza is tasty and looks great.I ordered a half and half medium size pizza - Vijayawada paneer and Butter paneer.“
“Finally a place with tandoor. The chef is super welcoming. We had kebab wrap, paneer tikka, Chicken achari tikka. The paneer melted in the mouth. The food was 9/10, the -1 is because my pallet is as Delhi as it gets, +1 back is because comparing this to Delhi is unfair and am just so happy to have a place where i can smell of tandoor. Finally a north indian food place that has tikkas ?“
“Great little Indian restaurant on El camino real road. It is run by a family and you can see the warmth in the food they meticulously prepare. The taste is on point to what you'd expect from a North Indian restaurant even back in India, we had chole baturas & aloo tikki chat. You know the food is good when you eat it so fast and forget to take pictures :DThe seating is limited and not fancy at all but I grew up appreciating the small restaurants that give you great food and don't charge you fancy money for interior and decor.“
“Interesting paki/Indian food. I think they added a twist to some things with the burgers and the wraps. The kebab burger patty had some interesting spices. The dahi puri was good but I wish I didn't take it to go as it gets soggy quickly.Really cool concept tho and the good was tasty so I def recommend“
“Shahi Chaat food truck in San Francisco exceeded expectations, especially with its must-try masala chai – the best I've had in the city. The flavors were rich and authentic, making it a standout beverage. The food truck experience added to the charm, giving a convenient yet delightful setting.“
“Updated review:After a long day at work, we came to Chaat bhavan for dinner. Was able to quickly get a table as it was a weekday, don't expect the same on weekends as there are long waits. We ordered the House Thali and it was definitely tasty and bang for our buck. Two of us ate it along with extra paratha on the side. They also gave us complementary dessert to try which was also very good. Overall, will definitely be revisiting the place.Older review:Food is of very good taste and high quality. The restaurant is very neat and the servers are courteous. But they take too long sometimes for a take out. Tends to get very crowded on Sunday nights.“
“One of the closest flavor to the Amritsari Chole. We have tried their Amritsari Chole Bhature & Suji Dahi Puri. Their Kulche & Chuur Chuur Naans are also great, they just get over fast so should plan accordingly. Only issue is that they operate only few days, but then may be that is why they are able to maintain good flavors. Definitely willbe going back to have their Kulche & Naan.“
“Good food. Chaotic environment.. folks standing in line at entrance, employees constantly callings names on speaker (reminds of railway station announcements- not in a good way), little conjusted place in weekends. Bhature was not good.. pure mehda based.. order Puri instead. All chaats are good. Wish they can improve there ordering and table service.“
“This spot is a hidden gem in the Bay Area. Recently opened in Sunnyvale, it sits next to a cluster of diverse food trucks. My experience with their Malai Chaap and Tawa Noodle Burger was delightful, but the Malai Chaap was truly exceptional. The creamy yet flavorful texture, complemented by melt-in-the-mouth chaap pieces, marinated, charred, and bathed in a deliciously creamy and spicy gravy, was extraordinary. Also, the portion size was generous for the price. The flavor resembled the authentic flavors of North India. This is not only a must-try food truck for chaap lovers but also for people who want to try it for the first time.“
“All preparations are very good. Doordashed the food. There are 10 pieces in each Momo order. Quantity of noodles was pretty good. It fed 5 kids. Sauces taste great. Chilli Garlic chutney is very spicy so be vary of that who cannot eat hot spice.“
“This review is been pending for many days so thought of finally writing it down.I & all my friends love their Pani Puri none of the store bought puris come close to this establishment they sell good quality products, the crunch of the puris & freshness add to the taste & experience of Pani puris that's the reason I have been going to this shop for almost 2 decades.I just want to inform that they only sell all the ingredients necessary for making Pani Puri & chaat u need to do it yourself at home as per your taste. I don't mind it, given the excellent quality I think that's the reason it's little expensive which is ok for us.I have tried all their food like -Bhel mix - ( I add chopped onions, jalapeños, tomatoes, avocado, fresh coriander & chutneys as per our taste)Papdi Gathiya (excellent taste) all my friends love it especially my Gujarati friends they always tell me outside India this is the best & authentic taste.Chaat puri- ( I customize it at home adding potatoes, onions, tomatoes , chutneys & Sev ) also I add it in Bhel mix too for added crunch.Sev - this is used in various chaat items like Sev puri , Bhel puri , Pav Bhaji , Dabeli etc.Mohan Thal (sweet) I loved it.Pani puri paste ( I customize it at home)Their 3 chutneys - Mint & Cilantro, Red Chilly Garlic & Tamarind Date chutney ( sweet tangy & spicy) which is good & I love that we don't have to make it from starch especially when u have the craving to have it suddenly (which I often get it) can't live without chaat. We have taken all of the above at various occasions like Holi, Diwali, Birthday parties which was a thundering success everyone in our friend circle love this shop.Their customer service is excellent I always preorder for parties & they have always taken extra care In packing the puris & chutneys.Plus I love that it's a small local mom & pop shop I & my husband always support local business especially from past 2 yrs it's very difficult for small business to sustain.I urge everyone to please support all the local business.“
“We ordered cake for our little one's bday.. The cake was perfectly smooth, light and reasonably priced. The cake was not too sweet which was exactly what we wanted. They accommodated all our requests and nicely arranged the cake toppers that we provided. I would recommend this baker for any party cake and would love to order from this place for any future parties...“
“I grew up in the 2000's here and there was this place called Shalimar on this same street (El Camino Real) and it was my favorite takeout place. The Naan + Chicken Tikka Masala was such a unique and excellent taste. Unfortunately, they closed few years back.I was shocked to realize the taste in this Shah was the exact same. The consistency is commendable. Though the prices have gone up in these 20 years, not once did that ever-so unique and brilliant taste ever differ. As a child in the 2000's till today in 2024 it has been the same. If you are looking for some Indo-Pakistani food around this area, this is a good option. Be sure to take the tea when you go to pick up the food. It is quietly great.“
“We tried their dabeli, which took us back to the flavorful kutchi dabeli in India. It was a great combination of the delicious flavors, trust me, we devoured it to the very last bite. It was worth the visit, and undoubtedly, a hint of flavors back in India.“
“Taste wise am not really impressed. A simple item such as Dahi papdi chat was watery and just pressure cooked potato and black channa was added without flavor/spices. ordered Sabhudana kichdi, I can say it’s different and was too oily. Not sure to say it was good or bad, Complimentary tea was good. Service was also good.“
“Amazing ghee jalebi & cholle bhature! All made fresh at the time of order. Seating is limited but service is quick and extensive menu items from sweets to savoury. They also recently started their lunch & dinner buffet service. Definitely a must try!“
“Best south Indian food in the bay area. They have the softest idlies and crispiest vadas. Their coconut chutney tastes like the ones made back home. The sambhar was very good as well and the taste was similar to the one we get at Saravana Bhavan from Tamil Nadu.I highly recommend this small, clean and authentic restaurant for south Indian food.“
“I usually get the thali here -- it's excellent, and affordable. One of my favorite local Indian spots. No waiters to deal with -- order at the counter, and the food arrives quickly. Not too crowded -- there really should be more customers, given how good the food is !“
“Probably the best pav bhaji in the bay. Their new restaurant in sunnyvale is pretty good. I wish the real juices were more reasonably priced but otherwise it's great. The service was also decent and hygiene was up to the mark. The truck did not have much of a seating area but love the seating overall at this location and feels great. 10/10 recommended.“
“Delicious new Indian dessert shop in Sunnyvale. Gave us samples of the milk cake and dhoda which were delicious and fresh. The prices were very reasonable - actually more affordable than some other local Indian dessert shops. The employee there Mr. Dharamveer Singh was very friendly. Highly recommend! We will be back for more sweets!“
“Discover the newest hotspot in Sunnyvale, California, nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley—Butter Chicken Social. Whether you're craving chicken kabobs, chicken kati roll, or their irresistible gulab jamun cheesecake with berry sauce, this place has it all. Despite initial hesitations about the dessert's sweetness, it pleasantly surprises with its perfect blend of flavors, textures, and sweetness. Plus, the restroom's cleanliness is remarkable. For those seeking quality dining experiences and willing to invest a bit more, Butter Chicken Social is sure to become your next favorite restaurant.Vegetarian options: Paneer Puffs, fries, mango boba lassi, naan, penne pasta in pink sauce, dosa batter cauliflower 65, and moreParking: Easy to find parking and easy walk to the restaurant“
“Food was excellent and so was the service. Support was prompt. Ambience can be made little better with minimal changes and coloring.. However, if it add cost to the meal then not necessary. Overall I recommend Vishnu Ji Ki Rasoi.Suggestion - chai is integral part of Indian meal so please do not let it finish until the end.“
“Good restaurant with lots of non veg options. I am giving g 5 starts for service. Our server Swati was kind enough to ask for our preferences and brought all the entrees promptly with the right spice levels as requested. They offer complimentary soups for all dine in customers. Loved it.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem of an Indian pizza place, and it exceeded all my expectations! As a vegetarian, finding unique and flavorful options can be a challenge, but this place truly delivers. The menu offers a delightful array of vegetarian pizzas with a distinctly Indian twist. The toppings and sauces showcase the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine, creating a culinary experience like no other. From classic paneer tikka to innovative combinations like spinach and fenugreek, every pizza is a flavor-packed adventure. The crust is perfectly baked – crisp on the outside and delightfully fluffy on the inside. The attention to detail in each pizza is evident, making it clear that the chefs are passionate about their craft. While I usually opt for takeout, I must commend this place for its exceptional food. The ambiance, though not extravagant, is decent, and they offer ample seating. I haven't personally tried the cheap beer on tap, as my focus has primarily been on the food experience. Overall, a solid five-star review for the culinary delights! Highly recommended!“
“We went with friends and family, it was amazing experience. Makke ki roti and sarso ka saag make you feel food cooked by your mom. House thali was having ample amount of dishes and rice. Definitely will recommend. Five star.Vegetarian options: Makke ki roti, chane ka saag“
“I have been going to this place for more than 15 years. My favorite items are chatpat and pizza paratha. I have tried almost everything here and it is authentic and simple. I order churma laddoo and besan laddoo every now and then. Love this place.“
“I've eaten here several times and the food is great. Staff are friendly, though important to note you need to order at the register on the sweets side. Entrance is around the side of the building, so don't let that sour your experience. There's a quieter dining room down the hallway where you can eat afterwards. I have no complaints“
“Best place to grab a Dabeli. They have two options one with cheese and one without cheese. The Dabeli served here is not too soicy however resembles the taste and flavor of the one served back home, with the toppings of fried sev, pomegranate seeds and spicy peanuts. You need to order online if you want to place an order from here. They do not accept cash. Its either online or through the QR code system they have on spot.“
“They have the best paneer biryani I've tried in three different cities in CA! It was delicious, full of spices, and flavorful. What I loved it that you get your money's worth with the amount of paneer. Yes, I look at the price and the amount of paneer in the dish. No complaints, loved it and will be back, highly recommend their paneer biryani!“
“Indulge in an exquisite journey of Indian Speciality cuisine at this remarkable restaurant, where seafood takes center stage unlike anywhere else in the Bay Area. Each dish is meticulously crafted with a symphony of aromatic spices, delivering unparalleled flavors that tantalize the senses. What truly sets this establishment apart is the genuine care and attention from the owners, who personally engage with every patron, eagerly gathering feedback and ensuring each diner's needs are met with utmost satisfaction. The selection of fish here is nothing short of exceptional, bursting with distinct flavors that redefine seafood dining experiences. If only I could award six stars, I would without hesitation. Here's to hoping this gem expands its footprint across the country, sharing its unparalleled cuisine with countless more food enthusiasts.“
