“I eat at Huckleberry’s at least twice a month, today however my experience was not good to the point that I did not leave a tip and feel terrible about that. I went in around noon on Sunday, I knew it would be busy. I signed in for one and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I sat there roughly 10 minutes. Two ladies came in signed in. Apparently they knew one of the waitress and were seated a few minutes later even though I was there before them. A waiter then approached the hostess and pointed at the clipboard, the hostess told him she was not going to seat one person in a booth. So I approached the hostess that initially signed me in and inquired why the two ladies were given a booth even though I was there before them, she didn’t know and looked for the waitress who sat them. The waitress proceeded to move them to a bigger booth to seat me. I was very disappointed. I realize it was not right to leave a tip but customers should not be given preferential treatment.“

You could use their ordering tablets, or you could order at the register. “I ordered a mango-orange-papaya smoothie. (you can mix and match from about 8-10 fruit options). For <$10 I got a large glass of some really excellent smoothie with exactly those ingredients + some ice. It was tasty, it wasn't too sweet, and it was a generous quantity. The only minor complaint was that the straw they gave was too short for the glass! (should've got a picture before consuming the whole thing but I forgot, picture attached just shows the serving size). Would definitely visit again.“

I ordered the honeydew with boba—the nuoc mia itself came out a crisp, grassy-sweet green, cold and not overly syrupy, with the boba offering a soft, chewy bite.

Prices went up but still reasonable. The narrow space has a few high-top tables by the window, but most foot traffic grabs plastic cups to go under the bright fluorescent lights.“

“This is the first South Indian (and also has vegan North Indian dishes) that we have found in the Bay Area with so many vegan choices clearly marked in the menu. We had mainly South Indian dishes and they were all very tasty. It also has unusual dishes like millet dosa, Madur vada and regional specialties which were all very good. We tried coconut milk dessert and were pleasantly surprised how good it was with copra pieces in it and other dried fruits. Also got a take out of other vegan desserts since not easy to find vegan desserts in an Indian restaurant! We will go there again if we are close by. We live about an hour away so not easy to go often. But I would highly recommend for others to try when looking for vegan Indian restaurant with many choices and very good ones too!“

We hosted a party bus for our gym families for christmas and our first stop was this cafe, due to the amount of people we had, the cafe kindly closed for us for an hour and we were so grateful!, considering we had many toddlers and children. “My wife and I were once just basic milk tea drinkers. We had our standard spot that we used to go to for years. We had friends that used to tell us about getting milk tea with “cheese” in it and we said “that sounds gross”. So one of our friends eventually dragged my wife to Happy Lemon and made her try the milk tea with salted cheese and….our taste buds will never be the same again.

I have now been to this Happy Lemon on multiple occasions. Parking has never been an issue. The people that take the drink orders, and serve the drinks have been consistently nice. The wait time for the drinks have been consistent with other tea places we have been.

My wife and I are now hooked on the Milk Tea with Salted Cheese and Boba Milk Tea with Cream Puff. I even bought some of the Salted Cheese ice cream for our daughters to try. They immediately tasted the cheese flavor and thought it was “yucky”. I was very happy to hear that and I sat back and enjoyed every spoonful.“
