“If you're looking for an authentic Korean bakery that serves phenomenal cakes and drinks, look no further! Gu-eum is your answer, your destination and will surely become your favorite!
Gu-eum is located at the popular Westgate corner strip mall at the corner of Lawrence Expwy and Prospect Rd, right across from McDonald and next to Cere tea. Parkings may be a bit of a challenge here but no worries, there are ample parkings in the back beyond McDonald. No matter where you park, it's only a quick 2-3 minutes walk to Gu-eum.
On the outside looking in, Gu-eum looks modest with a cute white teddy bear logo on the windows and some white lace curtains covering 2 of their big windows. The inside of store is neutral toned with a hint of buttery yellow and brown which reminds me of honey and cakes. White chairs and white tables as well as some houseplants and wall mirror are tastefully placed around the store to create a welcoming ambience. I can easily see myself coming here more often to grab some cakes and drinks and hanging out with my friends in the weekend or after work.
All that nice ambience aside, their cakes and drinks are what truly capture my heart (and my tummy)! They have so many flavors to choose from and some of them you haven't ever heard of, such as Injeolmi and Goguma (Korean yam which is my favorite!!). Their cakes are not super sweet (which is a compliment in Asian culture), melt in your mouth and make you feel like you're in heaven with every bite! Their cream is light, fluffy, with right amount of sweetness and that elegance of a well-make cream on top of the cake.
And of course, you'll miss out if you don't try their phenomenal drinks! I love their Goguma latte, Dalgona latte and most recently the seasonal Tiramisu latte, which is made to perfection with real mascarpone cheese and strong and bold coffee. I'm Vietnamese so I have high standard for my coffee and Gu-eum nails it all the time with moderately sweet drinks (that don't make you feel like you'll develop diabetes afterward) integrating so well with amazing coffees. Every sip you taste is a slice of heaven handed out to you in a form of latte :)
Their prices are reasonable within that $6-$7 range. Thought the cups are on the smaller size, the quality of drinks make up for it. I’d rather choose quality over quantity anytime.
Highly recommend you check this place out for all your cakes and drinks needs! Be warned though that you may come back and back for more because Gu-eum has that kind of hold on your heart (and tummy) LOL“

“I attended a Chemex Kenz coffee tasting and love their Hambala. Their love and passion for coffee translates in the quality of their beans. I’m glad I can also enjoy their brew at Sue’s Cafe in Downtown Saratoga.“

“I've come here a few times, with friends or with my four young kids. The place is clean, variety of seating options, great for a couple, great for a family. Food options have something for everyone. It does take awhile to get your order, but it's all so delicious and the coffee drinks excellent, it's hard not to go back.“

“I look forward to coming here almost everyday! The cold brew is the BEST in the entire Bay Area! I’ve tried them all and by far the Gamut cold brew is IT! Everyone who works here is so kind and friendly. It’s not just what are you having…it’s how are you? What’s new? There’s a sense of belonging when you come here. Sometimes a line forms because they don’t rush you. They genuinely care about you and the quality of the coffee. This place is truly a gem and I’m just so thankful I live so close.“

“Great service, the man at the front was very personable and hospitable. Gave us great service and a great portion size for the price. I had the Korean spicy pork which gave me nostalgia of having it back home. Really tasty and rich. My coworker had the hot punch sandwich which he enjoyed he definitely wants to try a more special sandwich next time. Overall great time, good food, and good portions.“

“My wife and I moved here after living in Latin America for years, and we were incredibly happy to discover an empanada shop that has such great flavors. Very authentic ingredients as well as some surprises like the Panzerotti. Their Mexican Mocha was also fantastic! Not overly sweet, which is so hard to find in a mocha. We literally haven't ordered anything here yet that wasn't delicious. Highly recommended!“

“Scopazzi’s has long since been a favorite venue for the BCBA to host events. From dinner/auction fundraisers to roundtable meetings to lunch meetings and now our 1st annual community planning event. They knocked it out of the park today for the CPE! Thank you to Talal and all of the staff!“

“This was my first time in a Specialty's after all the Bay Area stores closed right around when CoViD hit. I'm so glad the owners decided to take a chance and open a new store at this location next to the NASA base.
For anyone who used to work in the FiDi in San Francisco, this feels like coming home. The sandwiches and cookies are the same tip-top quality as I remember, and the drink selection has gotten even better.
As for the service -- outstanding. I miss the cloth bags they use to hold large orders back when I used to order breakfast for the whole office, so I asked if I could buy one; instead the cashier walked to the back and got me two new bags for free, then wished me a pleasant day. What more could I ask.
The people of Mountain View don't know how good they've got it here. Come back, Specialty's, we miss you!
Parking: The parking lot is shared with other buildings in the same office complex. Not that large to begin with.
Kid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere. Plenty of tables and space for kids to roam. Bathrooms are large and very clean.“

“Outstanding cafe at our building . Owners are caring , make excellent food, and great variety. fair pricing, especially for hand made fresh food. Enchilada day in my favorite. the 1 star review from reviewer B.S. is nonsense ( he gives 1 stars all the time, including 7-11 LOL) , this cafe is an amazing local resource.
Dietary restrictions: Owners are able to adjust for my diets.
Parking: Good ADA compliance, lots of parking in back ADA spots mostly not used.
Kid-friendliness: good informal location, plus atrium to run around in and restrooms nearby.
Wheelchair accessibility: lots of space, and ADA assisted doors on site .“

“It’s a small, cute Asian style Cafe in Cupertino. The cafe itself is quite small with some seating inside the cafe, but the real gem is the seating outdoors, which can be really nice on a sunny day. You can order via a kiosk and then grab your order from the counter. I had the coffee with Boba and coconut jelly and it was pretty good. My friend had the hazelnut tea, and she did not like it. You can customise your level of sweetness as well as Ice, which is great. The Boba came pretty quickly in less than five minutes which is impressive because there were a lot of people waiting for the orders. It’s a good place to get Boba, but nothing really stood out for me.“

“I’m honestly in shock that this is not better known. This is maybe the best dessert in all of South Bay and I’ve been to some of the most popular spots for Japanese, Vietnamese and other Asian desserts. These Pinoy-inspired desserts are amazing! With better branding and marketing, they should be able to charge a lot more, for how unique and yummy this is.“

“Great fresh food, helpful staff. The only downsides are that it can get really busy at lunchtime because of students from the high school, and if you sit outside, be aware that it's a busy corner and can get quite noisy from the traffic. Otherwise it's excellent. I love the Ahi Superfood Salad, ate every bite!“

“11/28/23 They now have Boba drinks and cold brew coffee, both of which I enjoy very much! The cold brew is great all by itself--was expecting to need cream and sugar, but it has a natural flavor that was great alone. The Boba is very well done here and neither overcooked nor undercooked. Try the iced mocha, and use decaf if you don't like caffeine as their decaf blend is very high quality and tastes great!Parking at De Anza is still free as of this date; no parking pass required at this time.“

“This place is stuck in time. The boba price and food price is the same price boba used to cost years ago. The coconut smoothie is a good recommendation! The teas are also tasty and doesn’t taste nasty. 100% would highly recommend everyone here if they’re in the area.“

“New “more than a coffeehouse” in Mountain View with a Venezuelan touch. Good ambiance and the menu offers an extensive list of items to please every taste. I got the “empanaditas” which are fried. Comes with cheese filling and ground beef. The red sauce was super hot. Caught me by surprise and I coughed and got teary eyes. It needs a warning! Coffee was great and look at that perfect heart work! Just beautiful. Parking during a Saturday can be challenging but a 2 block walk is a solution. Try it!“
“Tried going to a restaurant across the street and they were closed. For lack of time, i decided ill try this place. Was greeted immediately. My only gripe was cash only, but we did zelle. Prices are fair. Sandwich was excellent. Id recommend.“
“Phin Bar coffee is some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. I first found out about them when they came to an office event- and made iced phin coffee right in front of us. Ever since then, I’ve followed them on Instagram to find whenever they’re having flash sales. They are consistently excellent and very good at communicating with customers. Just follow their IG for when a new sale is happening! Or maybe book them for an office event. You won’t be disappointed!“

“This 7 Leaves location is pretty close to me, so I occasionally stop by!
Hanh is extremely friendly and helpful. I've seen her a few times when I stop by.
I've ordered:
-japanese matcha soy tea $5.75, similar to starbucks matcha latte
-thai tea with boba $6.15
-pistachio macaraon $2.25
I personally drink the matcha one...definitely on the sweeter side. Also the boba can definitely be a bit hit or miss...so buyer beware!
Usually easy parking in the plaza...could be busy during peak hours.
Some seating inside!“

“The home made bagels here are fantastic, and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is that there still seems to be some COVID fears. There’s plenty of room for inside seating, but there are no seats inside. Also, the owner wore a surgical mask every time I was there. That wouldn’t stop me from going back, since the food is so good.“
“Popped in today for coffee. I had a yummy latte and delicious homemade cookies. It was lovely to have a chat too and I’ll definitely be back xxx“
“Modern elegance combined with a cozy atmosphere, it is a great place to meet people or hashing out ideas! The cappuccino I ordered was expertly prepared, with a creamy foam and a rich, robust espresso base. What truly set it apart, however, was its temperature—served just right, it provided a satisfying warmth without being scalding.“

“Taotaotea located right next to the o reilly is a small boba shop in saratoga.
Owned by taiwanese aunties who seem to enjoy cutesy aesthetics and very homey and loving vibes.
They have a lot of deals especially for the prospect high schoolers across the street
Overall some of their tea and boba is very unique but the tea wasn’t as strong for some.
I really enjoyed their fruit teas as it had a lot of flavor to it.
Boba was also solid when fresh
Would come again if i need a quick boba fix in saratoga“
