Had a #17 turkey w/ everything on a toasted Asiago bagel. Let me tell you the joy my taste buds received was that of a sweet symphony. The bagel was incredible with a satisfying crunch and the chopped onions, sliced tomatoes, turkey, and lettuce were of good quality and danced on my tongue with every bite. The only bad thing was when I finished eating it........ I could eat no more (probably should have bought 2). I will be back!

This review is long overdue! I have been going to house of bagels for years and specifically this location in the almaden Costco shopping center the most frequently. The owners are super nice and always provide excellent service. It gets very busy in the mornings, especially on the weekends so be prepared to wait for a little bit. There have a huge parking lot so that's never an issue. The bagels are so good. My favorite is the sausage, egg and cheese bagel but I have tried a handful of them and have never had one I didn't like. They also offer some lunch bagels that come with tuna or chicken salad etc. if you're looking for something besides a breakfast bagel. They also sell small containers of their cream cheeses which are delicious.

They have new owners, bagels are not as good as before, we always get a dozen bagels to go, lot of times some of the bagels are under-baked. Also, every weekend we go there and the pumpernickel get sold out quickly, yet they never think of making enough of this one flavor (lack of good business sense). Also, they will never pick up the phone! So you can't order ahead.

Everytime I come here for my Costco and Trader Joe's run, I have to make a stop at this bagel shop. The women who run in and make my bagels are very generous and nice. They are always so accommodating. My favorites are the tuna salad bagel and the chicken salad bagel on jalapeno or pesto cheese. The only thing that you can't do here is eat in the store and that's completely fine too. Also, their smoothies aren't bad.

Love this place! They've been feeding my big teens since they were just old enough to eat! Wholesome good food, kind peeps. :) Thank you!

Oooh boy, if you want a grand slam of the top tier breakfast bagels come here. This spot has the house breakfast bagel with sausage AND bacon. Having a bad morning? This puppy will knock your socks off. My mouth is watering for another bite

I've been going to House of Bagels for years, and they are the closest thing to real New York bagels you're going to find on the left coast! That is unbelievably high praise from a NY native. The coffee is great, too, and the service is constantly excellent. It's one of my favorite Mom and Pop joints in the Bay Area.

08/03/2023: I have visited the House of Bagels Romo I'm up quick breakfast snack for myself and a drink to get my day started going. Associates were kind, friendly, quick to take order, and was clearly spoken. Order came out in a timely manner and this time associate had heard to keep my cream cheese on the side while bagel is being toasted. I had traveled here alone myself, and had used my own personal transportation.

Arrived here on a Friday morning after running errands at the bank next door, so I needed some liquid energy to fuel my day. Parking isn't a worry since there's lots of parking spaces. I got there around 10:15 AM, and I was the only customer there. The ambience was homey, packed with cold drinks, pastries, and allots of coffee. A few tables inside to sit down and dine in. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee to go and the woman working there finished my order within 5 minutes. Efficient and seamless service without a hiccup. The Vietnamese coffee was strong and had a strong sweet taste to my liking. Definitely coming back here again for Vietnamese coffee in the South San Jose area.

This place was always my go to for bagels and coffee freezes. However, recently going back here I did not like it so much. Don't get me wrong! My family and I would come here weekly for the past 2 decades. This year Im just not impressed. This place has not invented in toasters for their egg, bacon, ham sandwiches. They are still microwaving everything. My question is WHY? Come early morning for bagel selection by 11am the racks starts to look empty. We will try this place in a couple of months again. Hopefully they have made some changes by then. If not we will sadly take our business else where. The service is great here by the original owners. They have 3-4 tables inside and outside for dining.

Went today for the first and last time. The prices are shocking, and the bagels are only slightly better than Costco's, which are the worst. $28.70 for 6 bagels and a large cream cheese. I have no idea how this place can survive. Zero stars wouldn't be low enough. Go to Noah's, people!

A great place for bagels and the condiments. A good variety of bagels and they are good. I work a lot of Saturday's. I was hoping they would be open early like the donut basket (6:00am)but they are not.
