“Came in 1 hour before closing. Small selection. They had thrown the coffee out. Employee not very helpful or polite. Obviously, wanted to close. In the past, when I have gone there earlier, the bagels and schmears and coffee were delicious! Gotta get there early.“

“A true hidden gem in Mountain View. We love coming here for our Saturday morning bagel fix. The bagels are made in-house and have a fantastic texture, with some unique flavors like Swiss cheese, spinach, and jalapeño. Their homemade cream cheese is also a must-try. I'm a big fan of their Vietnamese coffee—it's got a unique blend that's unlike anywhere else. The place is simple but spotlessly clean, and the staff always wears masks. Just remember, there's no seating; it's takeout only.“

That said, the service took a little longer than what my patience level was comfortable with. Still, I had the lox bagel, and though I prefer mine with more veggies, they were not shy with the lox. “LOVE house of bagels :)
I grew up going here at the location on Hamilton Avenue. I think this is the best bagel spot in Palo Alto. I usually just get a bagel with Schmear, but the sandwiches hit home too. Have yet to be disappointed here. They are super nice, it’s a fun vibe, and a great location. Perfect after a long run throughout the Baylands :)“

“This is another location to get donuts and bagels. I’ve never been to a donut shop where it has a self-serving coffee station. Usually, staff will have to give you coffee cups. The place is small also where I came in. I kinda thought it might be quite bigger based on what I looked up online. They also serve certain pastries too, but don’t know if that’s common on other donut places.

I wouldn’t normally go here since it’s not a local restaurant, but would come here if I feel like I need to stop by here and eat.“
