“(Ryan Reynolds voiceover) The vibe is hidden gem in plain sight coffee house in HMB! Such gorgeous rustic interior decorations! Love the solid wood wall and elephant motiff. Athima warmly greeted us. We ordered the Double Down on the Everything bagel. Bacon, Egg, Sausage goodiness that defines hearty. Double Down is how I Iike it! We also got the Doggy Style...Special. Doggy Special! (For the canine owner in all of us) Sorta impossible for me to order with a straight face. But I did. Is it mischievous me or the words that have a mesmerizing effect? Everyone but the IG model beside me were instantly catatonic. And yes, Yes, YES! They were the best scrambled eggs on Earth! Names do hold magic. By contrast, the Green Pineapple drink exemplified strict good behavior in liquid nourishment! So delish! So green nutrish! The quad shot Gingerbread Cappucino was very Hansel & Gretel good! Heavenly! Especially, for high performance engines like me that run on a higher blood level of cAMP. Isn't that right, ladies? My gosh we just loved this place! The great service, the warm ambiance, and the fab cuisine. Would order everything again...maybe more next time! Super mega thanks, Athima! Woohoo!“
“Sam's is an unpretentious small town cafe with a great choice in the menu offerings, solid food, friendly attentive staff and cozy surroundings. Parking can be a challenge but you can usually luck out since folks are often coming and going out of the small lot on a regular basis. Great centralized location. Be sure to peruse the nearby Twice as Nice for odds and ends at great discounts too! Favorite item are the hash browns - clearly homemade, thick and I highly recommend the well done option for that extra crispiness! The sourdough bread is also SUPER good - the best I've found in a diner. Ask for a side of butter since they go pretty sparse. The veggie benedict was delicous and the poached eggs were perfectly done. Always my first go to when wanting a good old fashioned breakfast option around Half Moon Bay!“
“I was surprised to find a vegan/plant-based sandwich at Pete’s! It was a vegan egg, cheese and sausage on a light bagel.Additionally, the coffee is decent. I expected mediocre coffee, but the plain cup of drip coffee was better than Starbucks coffee.Vegetarian options: Plant-based vegan breakfast sandwich“
“A super cute store chocolate store in Half Moon Bay. My mother swears by this store. I love the chocolates and sweets that they have to offer. The store is very small but it filled with chocolates galore. There are many different options from drinks, to chocolates, and some sweet pastries. The price isn't cheap but just right. This is something worth treating yourself or a loved one!“
“It's a nice place that has a mom-and-pop feel. High ceilings and seating outside and at the back give you many choices. When I was there, a woman played Christmas songs on the piano. I didn't try the food since I only had a coffee for the occasion. The coffee (regular latte) was ok. I thought it was really bland and not even a hint of acidity. But all in all, it's a nice place to sit and people-watch while in Half Moon Bay.“
“We swung by AJ's on our way out of Half Moon Bay after going to breakfast nearby. The service was fast and we didn't have to wait long at all. I got an iced vanilla latte and the taste was pretty good. However, the friendliness of the employees was lacking. I know drive thru service is hard to create connection, but it was very lackluster. All in all, seemingly a decent coffee spot but don't expected to be wowed.“
“Wife had eggs Benedict (made by Oscar). Excellent eggs and the country potatoes were exemplary--lightly browned and crispy but soft inside. The bakery treats I had--blueberry scone and chocolate chip muffin--were soft, flavorful and made with minimal sugar. Notably, the scone didn't have the "rock salt" of sugar on top that almost everybody thinks is essential for anything blueberry. You could actually enjoy the blueberries!“
“Made the short walk from the resort to this wonderful little coffee "shop". It's more like a stationary food truck. Really appreciated their early morning hours, as I was working remotely on central time so my workday started at 6:30am. Many of the other cafes I looked at in the area didn't open until 7:00am. The Yelp map seems to have them located on slightly the wrong location. They are around the corner. Use Apple Maps or Google maps for the proper location. It's on Harvard.Ordered an iced cold brew with a splash of vanilla syrup, a banana, and an almond danish. The service was friendly and helpful. The cold brew coffee was smooth and delicious and the almond danish was sweet and tasty. Appreciated that they had some fresh fruit and the banana hit the spot.I'll definitely be back while I'm in the area.“
