After visiting the place and meeting the owner, I decided to choose Odyssey for a bulk pizza order (15 XL pizzas and salad) for a non-profit event. I am so happy I went with Odyssey Pizzeria Taqueria. Under fairly new management, it seemed as if they had been doing this for a very long time! From the personal customer service, proactive follow-up, and accommodating my requests, Odyssey went above and beyond my expectations. The space is small with a few tables and chairs outside. “We were seated immediately with a nice view. The cocktails were excellent, particularly the special on the board above the bar. Perfectly balanced, interesting and exciting. We started with the ceviche, which was incredibly fresh and bright on the palate. A perfect opener. We had the mushroom empanadas, our favorite of the day, which were rich in flavor and very satisfying with a coconut and cilantro sauce that made us order a second plate. We also enjoyed the yucca croquettes and the curry sauce.“

“Saturday lunch on a rainy day was very good even though the view of the ocean was a bit misty. The place was full and had to wait a bit for the food but it was delicious. I was there with family and we all had a really good time. This place is always busy but it's worth the wait.“

“This is actually my first time going to Pasta Moon at its new location. We were going to sit outside however the air tonight is very smoky and so we decided to do takeout. My daughters favorite dish is the eggplant Parmesan and I decided to take her advice and order it also. It was ready for pick up within 15 minutes, was still warm and included two kinds of bread and extra Parmesan cheese. This was utterly delicious and new favorite dish. There’s usually a few operations of general aviation aircraft every hour.The food: I have yet to have anything here that isn’t good. I’ve tried several meals, and the Huevos Rancheros is definitely a fave. Presentation is always pretty, too!There was one review about the plastic glasses being worse for wear, but that problem is solved by nice aluminum glasses. Even the coffee, which is tasty, is served in an aluminum insulated cup!Pilot Light is definitely on my must go list in the area. “When you arrive before opening and see a line that's usually a good sign, and it was no exception here. The food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. We mainly got the hamburgers / special burgers and the herb salad. However, we'd love to try the other items on the menu as everything else had was tasty.“

“This was a great meal to start the day. With lots of options from breakfast to dinner this is a perfect place for any time of the day. I had the souvlaki which came with soft pita and lots of tzatziki which I loved. The salad and fries were also a great side. My boyfriend had the home run and he said the sandwich was good and the hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service was great as well! Really appreciated their early morning hours, as I was working remotely on central time so my workday started at 6:30am. Many of the other cafes I looked at in the area didn't open until 7:00am. The Yelp map seems to have them located on slightly the wrong location. They are around the corner. Use Apple Maps or Google maps for the proper location. It's on Harvard.Ordered an iced cold brew with a splash of vanilla syrup, a banana, and an almond danish. The service was friendly and helpful.The cold brew coffee was smooth and delicious and the almond danish was sweet and tasty. Appreciated that they had some fresh fruit and the banana hit the spot.I'll definitely be back while I'm in the area.“

“This place was a huge pleasant surprise. It was a rainy/windy day and we were over in the area because we were just kind of driving the coast. We didn't expect much in this area because we were coming from the somewhat industrial looking side, but decided we wanted to look for a brewery. We googled and ended up trying this place out. Because of the weather, we didn't think there would be anyone else in here and didn't have super high hopes. We were so wrong! When we entered, there was a duo playing live music. They were enjoyable to listen to. There were also quite a few people in there of all ages and seemingly, different walks of life--always a fun thing to see. I ordered a flight and every beer on it was nice and crispy cold--the only way to enjoy beer in my opinion. And the flavors of every one were so impressive. We both love beer and are very impartial to our own local breweries in the town we live in--but coming here made me wish this was in our town! My husband ordered a pint of Sea Wolf and he really enjoyed that. I had the Love Boat on my flight which sounded intriguing to me. It was SO GOOD. It was an ill Ali eery and graham cracker sour. I'm not always a sour lover, but it was the perfect balance. I would say that and the Sea Wolf were my favorites. The gal working, Lauren, was incredibly sweet. We asked for some local suggestions of places she liked for food, drinks, etc. and she was really helpful--gave us lots of great insight. She also chatted with us about her dog and ours...overall just really cool vibes. This will definitely be a go-to spot on all our future visits to the HMB area!“

“I’m a coffee snob, annoyingly so. This is by far the very best coffee in the Bay Area. My go to order is a quad shot iced latte and whether I’m having that or the espresso straight it is absolutely delicious. The vanilla and rose lattes are lovely treats and well balanced in flavor.“

“This brewery really checks all the boxes -- cozy ambiance with ample seating, excellent variety of delicious brews, live music, plus food truck options if you are feeling hungry! We tried the Venti is Large (stout) and Uncle Pen's (pale ale). Both were refreshing and balanced beers. Definitely worth checking this spot out next time you find yourself in scenic Half Moon Bay.“

“We ordered Panuchos, Pork Adobo. This spot is one of two Mayan/Yucatan restaurants run by Merida immigrants in Bay area as far as i know. Panuchos is incredibly delicious. You can see very thin layer of black beans between two deep-fried tortillas. And deep fried, the shell is so crispy, and then you’ve got that thin layer of salty, nutty black beans on the inside. Pickled onion, house made habanero salsa complement the flavors. The main ingredients used in Pork Adobo, Cochinita pibil must be Achiote. It has a slight peppery and lemony taste to it. It was a truly incredible experience to learn, eat traditional Mayan food!“

“This was a cozy spot to have lunch outside with my family. We ordered a few lunch items and snacks to bring home. I ordered the lunch special of the day, which was a beef stew. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try it out, but they gladly replaced it with the steak grilled with onions, which was delicious! “My friend and I stumbled upon Grape in the Fog at the end of an incredible California road trip. The ambiance is amazing, wonderful wine and delicious food. We shared the meatballs and the hummus plate and both were fabulous. We finished with the waffle with strawberries and vanilla whip cream and a trio of cheesecakes (lime, coconut and pineapple). I highly recommend stopping in to this cozy wine bar.“

“I was very excited to find Gherkins Sandwich shop while on a week long trip to HMB. As a vegetarian we usually get stuck with the same repetitive sandwich options when going to delis, but I was ecstatic to see that most of their sandwich options could be made vegetarian by substituting the default protein with tofu.I got a number 19 - Cal Fire with tofu which had honey mustard sauce, avocado and cheese (I switched the pepper jack for swiss). My husband got a #20 - The Sheriff with tofu, which had a Frank's Red Hot sauce. I loved the whole gherkins on the sandwiches! The biggest drawback for us is that the sandwiches were very messy to eat. The tofu ended up being cubed, so the sandwiches started falling apart instantly. I think it would probably be better if the tofu was cut into slabs if possible. I also think some extra seasoning on the tofu would be great.The sauces on our sandwiches were also a little runny, which kind of added to the messy-ness.We had gotten chips but didn't end up eating them because we were so full after the sandwiches. Overall a good option for lunch, but I would have preferred if the sandwiches were a little easier to eat.“

“Met a chap on a flight from Toronto to San Francisco. Turns out he lived near my hometown back in Ontario Canada before moving to California. He suggested this place and it was spot on exactly as good as he said it would be. George was super nice and knew the chap on the plane. We like the HMB Brewery, have been there many times over the years and plan to be back. Food is fresh, well prepared, and well presented. It did get chilly in the late afternoon, but we are hardy Coastsiders, and brought hoodies! Oh, and it’s Dog-friendly too. Many folks brought their canines!Not the owner’s fault, but coming down to the shoreline, from the parking lot and paved trail with a cane, was iffy. I’ll blame that on the SMC Harbor District which should have insured ADA compliance. On the way back, I did see I could have taken a less direct route had l been in a wheelchair.“

I have to say I did not care for the biscuits and gravy( well the gravy). The gravy had a congealed texture and was fairly bland. Being a southern boy I expected to have a white gravy and sausage. I took one bite, was unsure so took a second. That was all it took to decide I did not care for the gravy. They removed them from my bill but left me with a unsatisfied craving for real biscuits and gravy. Everything else was great.“

Sea Jay, the owner is usually there having fun listening to music as well. “This Hidden Gem of a place surprised the heck out of me! As soon as I came in I was greeted by the bartender Crystal who was fantastic and just started a week ago and extremely personable. Ordering was very simple right from your table using a QR code food and beer came out almost as soon as it got off the grill and the beers were unique and tasty there's a lot to choose from here. I had the fish and tots fish had a great taste to it with the right amount of spice on the batter the tops were delicious and come strongly recommended.
