“Pictures looked good and this was our last night in Half Moon Bay. I took the advice of the website and made reservations and got a window seat that looks over the cliffs, ocean and beach. Our server Laura was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. She help us with the menu and tasted a few drafts and ordered up. All the food was great from the Onion soup, crab cakes prawns and chips, plus the cioppino was outstanding (Italian spicy style). We also had the special chocolate fudge cake. Great service, we will be back again.”

I am tired of burrito because you can get that anywhere, but the wet burrito. You definitely have to try that.Parking: parking is very tiny only enough to fit 8 cars”

“Yesterday, we celebrated my mother-in-law’s 81st birthday at La Costanera in Half Moon Bay. From the way we were greeted as we entered to the amazing service from our server and the absolutely delicious food. I’m going to go five stars all the way!”

“We, 2 people, ordered cigar-shaped pastry, gyro plate, grilled vegetables and künefe.Pastry was too salty for me.All others were great. Ingredients were not cheap. I have tried many Mediterranean restaurants. I was tired of cheap tomato and lettuce in other restaurants. First time I got real lettuce here. Presentation was great.Service was great too.We liked it so much so we ordered food to go for tomorrow.What else do you care for? We paid $72 + tip, which is fair.”

“The lobster and crab are always fresh. My favorite are the crab tacos with cole slaw and house-made chips. Always so flavorful. My husband loves the lobster tails, perfectly cooked and served with a roll and melted butter. Adequate wine selection, better beer selection. Good service!”

“When you arrive before opening and see a line that's usually a good sign, and it was no exception here. The food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. We mainly got the hamburgers / special burgers and the herb salad. However, we'd love to try the other items on the menu as everything else had was tasty.”

“1st time I went, I had seen the price on their online menu. When they rang it up, they upped the price. OK, I told em and accepted they did not set up their website and I learned not to use that pricing.Their Linguine with Clams and pear salad have brought me back a few time. The best Linguine and Clams anywhere.Pacifica is not loaded with good restaurants. Staff is nice, food comes quick and is great for either dine in, or take out.”

“I have to admit, as an airplane nerd I’m perhaps a little biased since this spot is at the Half Moon Bay airport it here it goes!Pilot Light is literally in an old terminal building so to the reviews that say it feels like it…. Yeah. But that said, I enjoy the environment. It’s relaxed and bustling at the same time. There’s a good sized outdoor patio with several tables when the weather is good. There’s usually a few operations of general aviation aircraft every hour.The food: I have yet to have anything here that isn’t good. I’ve tried several meals, and the Huevos Rancheros is definitely a fave. Presentation is always pretty, too!There was one review about the plastic glasses being worse for wear, but that problem is solved by nice aluminum glasses. Even the coffee, which is tasty, is served in an aluminum insulated cup!Pilot Light is definitely on my must go list in the area. The service is always friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: Looks like it would be good.”

“I have eaten here four times now and every meal is incredible, and for an airport hotel restaurant, truly unbelievable. The hotel is lovely in every way, miles beyond the alternatives. But the restaurant is one of the reasons I stay here whenever I have a morning flight. Tonight had the lobster miso bisque, and the seared scallops, and I don't think I've had better versions of either in a decade. The scallops and the lobster were as tender as they could ever be and the flavors were amazing. Service and ambience is great too. They have wines by the glass that you normally must pay for a bottle - and a first rate twist on a Paper Plane if you're a cocktail person. Be sure to get a table by the window to watch the planes...”

“We ate wings here last year- best we've ever had. Crunchy, hot, amazing sauces, fast service. Went back thinking no way they are that good. We had to have been tired or really hungry or something. We knew, we were cashing the dragon. But we went again on Easter...and HOT DAMN!! BETTER than we remembered!! So rarely does food measure up across time and memory! They did not disappoint! The fry on these wings is special and spectacular!! NOT TO BE MISSED! The MVP and Lemon Honey wings- I miss them already. Great onion rings too! Plus a great jukebox.”

“Heard about this from.my granddaughter. We love Chinese food and hadn’t found a place near us in Daly City. This was just delicious. We had 9 different dishes and everyone of them was fabulous. Cooked to,order, fresh,lightly battered, crispy. Judy was so friendly and enjoyable. Treat yourself to an affordable delicious meal. We are looking forward to,our next visit. They do not have their liquor license yet, so we took our own wines. Very accommodating and so so good!1”

“This spot is such an amazing find. The food is delicious, the staff are all incredibly kind, and it's a very casual restaurant to grab lunch or dinner. This restaurant has entered my rotation of post-workout dinners when I just want something tasty and filling. I usually order the Erbil Kebab, which comes with rice and salad. It's a huge portion for one person, but a little small to feed two. You certainly get a ton of value for the price! Also... the toum (garlic sauce) is addictive--You've been warned!”

“This place is FANTASTIC. I went here for the first time tonight, and was just blown away. I had high expectations because the reviews were already so good, and they met them and were even exceeded.First off, the inside of the restaurant is surprisingly spacious, as well as clean and orderly. They have different seating options depending on if it is shared or individual hot pots, but all of them are fine. The menu is extensive and straight forward. You select your options using a dry erase menu, and then they bring it out. In addition to the usual hot pot staples, they also have tasty appetizers and desserts like crab rangoons, beef short ribs, freshly fried Chinese donuts, ice cream, and fried dough with evaporated milk. And yes, as many other reviews mention, the biang biang noodles are EXCELLENT!The final thing I have to really sing the praise of is the service. The staff member we had waiting on us was SO kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Near the end of the meal, my mom wanted to sample things so she was requesting single items. Like just one single fish ball, and just two pieces of Chinese donut. The waitress did not even bat an eye at these requests, and she did indeed come back with a single fish ball, and sample size portions of the Chinese donut. It was going above and beyond! She also made sure to ask if we wanted ice cream since it isn’t on the menu and she wanted to be sure we knew they had it! I gave her a generous tip because she honestly made our night better with her cheery and helpful presence, and she even came back over and thanked us. No thanks was needed, we just wanted to thank her!All in all, Top Pot was a wonderful experience and I definitely plan to be back!”

“Wow the food is great. Such a surprise find. This restaurant is very close to another Sichuan restaurant and it's right next to a bbq restaurant so make sure you are going to the correct entrance.I recall coming to this place when I meant to go to the Sichuan restaurant so I left last time and I think it was a mistake to try this restaurant only after so many years.This restaurant is amazing. I don't know whether this changed owners but wow the food tastes so good. It's probably my favorite Chinese spicy food restaurant in the Peninsula now.The food portions are small but the prices reflect that and it's nice to see prices didn't go crazy for once.Even the way the ingredients are chopped can tell that the ones in the kitchen paid attention because the pieces are cut properly as opposed to other Chinese restaurants such as Wonderful (they should train the kitchen helper who to chop stuff there).Everything we ordered tastes great. I liked the frog dry pot. I also liked the spicy fish. The pork liver also is tender and flavorful. I really can't find any fault in terms of food here other than maybe presentation but who cares when they taste good. Even white rice tastes good and goes well with spicy food.The service is good and quick. The place is small but has decent number of tables. I don't recommend huge parties due to the space but I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“Authentic Thai Cuisine in Half Moon Bay in the Strawflower Shopping Center from the talented Chef formerly of Spice Me. My review is for takeout, the service was friendly and helpful in selecting the level of spice to the Basil Chicken. The Pineapple Fried Rice with Prawns was the perfect accompaniment to the Spicy Basil Chicken. The Shui Mai were served with a delicious dipping sauce, we also enjoyed the Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls and the Baked Pork Bun. All items were packaged separately with the dipping sauces. There are tables if you choose to dine in.”

“Made the short walk from the resort to this wonderful little coffee "shop". It's more like a stationary food truck. Really appreciated their early morning hours, as I was working remotely on central time so my workday started at 6:30am. Many of the other cafes I looked at in the area didn't open until 7:00am. The Yelp map seems to have them located on slightly the wrong location. They are around the corner. Use Apple Maps or Google maps for the proper location. It's on Harvard.Ordered an iced cold brew with a splash of vanilla syrup, a banana, and an almond danish. The service was friendly and helpful.The cold brew coffee was smooth and delicious and the almond danish was sweet and tasty. Appreciated that they had some fresh fruit and the banana hit the spot.I'll definitely be back while I'm in the area.”
