“Met a chap on a flight from Toronto to San Francisco. Turns out he lived near my hometown back in Ontario Canada before moving to California. He suggested this place and it was spot on exactly as good as he said it would be. George was super nice and knew the chap on the plane. Thank you for an amazing eating experience the boys and I loved the platter and never had chicken so good. My Daughter loved the burger. Do yourself a favour and check this place out you won't be disappointed.”

“We were seated immediately with a nice view. The cocktails were excellent, particularly the special on the board above the bar. Perfectly balanced, interesting and exciting. We started with the ceviche, which was incredibly fresh and bright on the palate. A perfect opener. We had the mushroom empanadas, our favorite of the day, which were rich in flavor and very satisfying with a coconut and cilantro sauce that made us order a second plate. We also enjoyed the yucca croquettes and the curry sauce.”

“We dropped by Sam's to get takeout last summer. We didn't end up eating it for a couple of hours, so I'm not sure how accurate this review will be. We ordered at the front window and it took around 15 minutes to get the food. It was a pleasant wait since we could walk along the beach while waiting for the food.The seafood cioppino was pretty pricey ($38 at the time). It was quite good -- the broth has great savory and spicy flavor. The shrimp is also cooked really well as were the clams. The one thing I didn't like about this dish was the fish fillet. It was really tough and overcooked. I think it's mostly due to the type of fish, which is prone to becoming tough. There was a lot of fish compared to the other seafood components. This dish was great other than the fish. We basically had it cold because we didn't want to overcook the seafood, but we could still appreciate the flavors.We also got the naked (hot and buttered) lobster roll ($30 at the time). We had it cold, but it was still pretty good. There was quite a lot of claw meat in addition to other parts of the lobster.The main downside of what we tried was the fish in the cioppino. Everything else was good, and I'd go back. I don't know if I'd wait a long time to be seated, though -- maybe takeout and eating soon after is the move. It's a really nice location and clearly a very popular place.”

“Amazing seafood market! The restaurant offers daily specials and a happy hour, which makes the prices very appealing. We went there on Monday; I ordered the 1lb lobster, and it was such indulgence! I love the potato chips too; they’re crispy but not oily. I wish I could go there every day! Definitely the best dinner experience during my one-week trip in the Bay Area.The restaurant comes with outdoor seating area, very relaxing!Parking: You could parking along the road, and they also provide parking in the back of the restaurant. It was pretty easy since it was not a major road.”

“Went for a Friday night date with husband. The food was flavoursome . Specially the Bombay sliders were just mouthwatering ?Decent and quiet ambience with not much hustle bustle.-1 just for the fact they were out of the dessert we wanted to try.Overall had a nice calm dinner.”

OK, I told em and accepted they did not set up their website and I learned not to use that pricing.Their Linguine with Clams and pear salad have brought me back a few time. The best Linguine and Clams anywhere.Pacifica is not loaded with good restaurants. Staff is nice, food comes quick and is great for either dine in, or take out.”

“I have to admit, as an airplane nerd I’m perhaps a little biased since this spot is at the Half Moon Bay airport it here it goes!Pilot Light is literally in an old terminal building so to the reviews that say it feels like it…. Yeah. But that said, I enjoy the environment. It’s relaxed and bustling at the same time. There’s a good sized outdoor patio with several tables when the weather is good. There’s usually a few operations of general aviation aircraft every hour.The food: I have yet to have anything here that isn’t good. I’ve tried several meals, and the Huevos Rancheros is definitely a fave. Presentation is always pretty, too!There was one review about the plastic glasses being worse for wear, but that problem is solved by nice aluminum glasses. Even the coffee, which is tasty, is served in an aluminum insulated cup!Pilot Light is definitely on my must go list in the area. The service is always friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: Looks like it would be good.”

“I have eaten here four times now and every meal is incredible, and for an airport hotel restaurant, truly unbelievable. The hotel is lovely in every way, miles beyond the alternatives. But the restaurant is one of the reasons I stay here whenever I have a morning flight. Tonight had the lobster miso bisque, and the seared scallops, and I don't think I've had better versions of either in a decade. The scallops and the lobster were as tender as they could ever be and the flavors were amazing. Service and ambience is great too. They have wines by the glass that you normally must pay for a bottle - and a first rate twist on a Paper Plane if you're a cocktail person. Be sure to get a table by the window to watch the planes...”

“This is actually my first time going to Pasta Moon at its new location. We were going to sit outside however the air tonight is very smoky and so we decided to do takeout. My daughters favorite dish is the eggplant Parmesan and I decided to take her advice and order it also. It was ready for pick up within 15 minutes, was still warm and included two kinds of bread and extra Parmesan cheese. This was utterly delicious and new favorite dish. We look forward to coming again and sitting outside or doing takeout since that was fine.”

“Heard about this from.my granddaughter. We love Chinese food and hadn’t found a place near us in Daly City. This was just delicious. We had 9 different dishes and everyone of them was fabulous. Cooked to,order, fresh,lightly battered, crispy. Judy was so friendly and enjoyable. Treat yourself to an affordable delicious meal. We are looking forward to,our next visit. They do not have their liquor license yet, so we took our own wines. Very accommodating and so so good!1”

“Held a group dinner for 14 here on a Friday. The process for booking, menu selection, etc., were all very professional and easy. Great menu options, flexible re food allergies, and the room was lovely - if too tight for the cocktail/ circulating hor d'oeuvres concept. People clustered in the 4 corners of the room and didn't have room to really mingle. Considering it was a relatively big group, the food was quite good (though duck was a bit tough & scallops were disappointingly small - not succulent).I would come again. Conundrum is that the minimum was high for our group, so I'd book again for a larger group, but the room would be really too tight for more than, say, 16 people.”

“This spot is such an amazing find. The food is delicious, the staff are all incredibly kind, and it's a very casual restaurant to grab lunch or dinner. This restaurant has entered my rotation of post-workout dinners when I just want something tasty and filling. I usually order the Erbil Kebab, which comes with rice and salad. It's a huge portion for one person, but a little small to feed two. You certainly get a ton of value for the price! Also... the toum (garlic sauce) is addictive--You've been warned!”

“Loooove Golden Boy pizza! This is my first time at the San Mateo location, my go to is the SF location. My favorite pizza here is the clam and garlic pizza Disclaimer: you can only order small or large pizza pans here, they do not sell individual slices like SF. Tip: call ahead to order as it takes 30-40min to bake and can get quite busy with lots of orders. There are no tables or chairs to eat on, so it's literally to go only. The restaurant is on the outer park of the block so be prepared to park on the street/sidewalk.”

“Authentic Thai Cuisine in Half Moon Bay in the Strawflower Shopping Center from the talented Chef formerly of Spice Me. My review is for takeout, the service was friendly and helpful in selecting the level of spice to the Basil Chicken. The Pineapple Fried Rice with Prawns was the perfect accompaniment to the Spicy Basil Chicken. The Shui Mai were served with a delicious dipping sauce, we also enjoyed the Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls and the Baked Pork Bun. All items were packaged separately with the dipping sauces. There are tables if you choose to dine in.”
