The Big Melt

I wanted to love this place but I didn't. I got the impossible burger and it was super salty and boring. For the $15 I expected a bit more, it was overly salty and a boring burger - no lettuce, no tomato, no extra sauce. I also got the fries and they were super salty. My friend got the melt and while it is a huge burger, he claimed it was dry. It's a disappointment how sad these burgers are for the price. This "The Melt" location is a part of the "LocalKitchens" at this address. LocalKitchens is a takeout place for a number of restaurants - TheMelt, Oren's Hummus, Senor Sisig, Curry Up Now and one other I can't remember. The takeout only LocalKitchens (and therefore The Melt) is open until midnight most days. Which is the best part. We had ordered a simple Mac and cheese. We're in town for the holidays and my daughter wanted a burger for dinner, so I decided to drive over and order in person instead of delivery. I'm glad I did because I added the Ube Horchata to my order which wasn't part of the Melt's menu. There was a slight mix up with the order which caused a delay of a few minutes, but I didn't mind waiting.
