We came here on a Friday night 3/22 around 5:30pm. We're seated right away at the sushi bar. The place started getting extremely busy and all the tables were occupied by 6:30pm. They had 1 main sushi chef then a second cook came out to help. 2 waitresses on staff that were all working very hard non stop, but can't seem to keep up with the patrons and DoorDash standing by. A pleasant take out dining experience with the new sushi joint in the neighborhood. This used to be where Sushi Mania was. Sushi island offers a lot of options cooked food, sushi and rolls. I ordered several rolls and they were good. I will try some cooked items such as donburi and bentos next time.
Solid 4.5. A new sushi spot recently opened in the Cambrian area located in the strip mall just off 85 and Camden. After finding them on Yelp, we want to check out the quality. Since it was a first visit, we ordered their lunch specials since it has a variety of items. They have a huge menu. We chose a chicken terri and sashimi combo and a chicken katsu and sashimi combo bentos. We also added a negihama roll.
