“These folks are extremely personable, my son and I were welcomed as soon as we walked up. We tried the mar y tierra tacos (carne asada, & shrimp), the quesibirria & shrimp, as well as the ceviche w/ mango.
The tortillas were made from scratch, and all the ingredients tasted extremely fresh.

Menu is in Spanish only, but fortunately I’ve been to my share of taco trucks and could read it.Got the super burrito carne asada, no cream. More flavorful and juicer than most. “There are benefits to finding oneself in an unfamiliar neighborhood and searching Google. I was looking for a taco truck near me that accepted credit cards since we foolishly left the house with only $2.00. La Oaxaquense Food Truck was the top result, and with 4.8 stars, many of them from people who know Oaxacan food, I figured we couldn't go that far wrong. We hit the jackpot! We asked for traditional choices and chose the Tlayuda, which kinda looks like a Mexican pizza or very large tostada. We sat on a bench in the park and feasted! It was delicious. The beef and chorizo were both very tasty, as were the black beans. Together with the avocado, tomato, cheese and cabbage, we ate far more than we should have since it was so yummy. It certainly made us want to come back and try some of the other dishes.
The service was very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend La Oaxaquense Food Truck. It's worth going out of your way for!“

But, long story short—I decided to give it a try, and I honestly can’t find the words to express the satisfaction I felt here. After years of searching for truly exceptional tamales, I finally found them here. The way they blend flavors is amazing, and the grand surprise was the chilaquiles topping on the tamales—just wow! And their champurrado? It’s one of the best I’ve ever tasted, so rich and delicious. Tamales El Tamalero is an experience worth savoring!

The tamal I recently tried was an absolute delight, perfectly encapsulating everything a tamal should be. Wrapped in a warm, soft corn husk, it was filled with a savory blend of ingredients that melded together in perfect harmony. The masa was incredibly soft and fluffy, moist but not overly so, which made it the ideal base for the filling. Inside, the spiced pork (or chicken) was tender and flavorful, infused with a sauce that had just the right amount of kick.

What really impressed me was the balance of flavors—nothing was too overpowering, allowing each bite to highlight the rich, earthy taste of the masa with the slightly tangy and spicy filling.
