I had the chicken vermicelli bowl. The veggies were so fresh and crunchy. The chicken was BBQ and so tender. My husband had the rare steak pho and it was great too. We for sure will be back.
I guess I’ve been spoiled by some Pho restaurants in having amazing Umami type broth. I got the rare beef pho and it just didn’t have that extra something that would make me wanna come back. It’s not my favorite to sit down at a restaurant grab a menu myself and have someone tell me to order on a tablet when they’re standing there and could be able to help. Pho Kitchen is a Vietnamese restaurant in the Almaden Expressway plaza next to Bass Pro Shop. It offers a clean space with a great atmosphere and a large screen TV. Customers order on a tablet, and payment can also be made on a tablet. The staff are kind and incredibly nice. The chicken vermicelli bowl has fresh and crunchy veggies and tender BBQ chicken. The rare steak pho and the rare beef pho are also available, though the broth may not stand out for everyone. The free range chicken noodle pho was a bit too salty for one guest, who instead enjoyed the barbecue pork vermicelli bowl. The barbecue pork rice plate comes as a large portion. The traditional spring rolls, French fries with a side of honey mustard, Thai tea, and egg noodle are also offered. Service is minimal, and guests pay up front. This place is a favorite for many years and keeps getting better.
