Jubba Somali Restaurant Reviews
Food is seasoned extremely well, spiced tea is amazing!!!!!!! friendly staff and clean environment. Both the platters/plates and wraps are delicious!
4.25/5
Got the sambusa, beef wrap, and the beef plate. Food was overall quite well done and portion sizing was generous. Beef was tender and flavorful. Also LOVED the tea, v good mix of spicy & sweet, v delicious.
S1: sambusa was easily my favorite (it’s pretty spicy fyi!). I thought the beef in the beef wrap was tastier than the beef in the beef plate, so I would probably opt for beef wrap next time.

Great local spot owned by a nice family. The taste of the food is out of this world and very fairly priced.
Try the beef wrap or the sports plate to share.

Jubba Somali Restaurant offers delicious Somali cuisine with bold flavors and unique combinations. Customers recommend trying the #2 Beef Suqaar and #6 Tilapia Filets with grilled vegetables, rice, and salad. The restaurant is known for its juicy Beef Slices and Roasted Goat Cutlet, both bursting with flavor. The Sports Plate, featuring a combination of beef and goat, is a must-try for first-timers. The food is moderately spicy, yet less intense than Indian and Mexican cuisine. Although the presentation might not be visually striking, the taste is remarkable. The outdoor seating provides a nice dining experience, making it a hidden gem with many customers coming in and out. Parking is convenient with a big parking lot. Jubba Somali Restaurant is a favorite spot for many in the South Bay, known for its generous portions that can easily be shared and for its authentic dishes that are 100% halal. The service is friendly, making it a must-try food destination in south San Jose.
