“Our go-to Vietnamese restaurant and fave in the area by far. Even with several diet changes through the years, Khanh's has never ceased to please. Despite an occasional wait to be seated, once the food is served steamy and hot, the day's troubles seem to melt away. Most of the time we order the beef soup, which can be served with meatballs (kids' pref) or brisket (yum)! The asparagus soup is delish as well, but know it contains chicken and imitation crab (so white fish), therefore not entirely vegetarian. Fried or sauteed tofu is great as a vegetarian option, as a side dish or on its own. We'll definitely be back whenever in town and craving Khanh's when not.“

And we were going to eat at "ORALE BAJA" which is located on Winchester Blvd. Their green chile burritos were delicious, with gringo and Latin clientele,,, but I had to tell the manager and please wash its two access doors because the frame to open was black with grime that was disgusting, on the second day it was already clean. There are things that fail many Latin businesses in the USA, CLEANLINESS in bathrooms, doors and tables. They would have more clients if they paid more attention to those details. Not all of them are bad, in GILROY, Ca, there is the "SUPER TAQUERIA" on the Monterey hwy. EVERYTHING PERFECT, FOOD, their roast beef or green chile burritos are a delight,,,CLEANLINESS AND SERVICE EXCELLENT LOCAL.Parking: There is enough space.“

One member of my family is a vegetarian and her options were limited to just salad or sides (they were out of the pasta). So some work is needed on expanding vegetarian options. Would be a perfect score and I love this place, but this time the 2nd round of drinks and bread took forever to get to the table. That oyster bake is very rich and without an accompanying libation just doesn't reach its full potential.“

We went for the weekday lunch specials but they also have $1 oysters on Tuesdays/Wednesdays.Between the two soup options, I liked the Cajun chowder better than the gumbo which is a rare occurence. The $13 shrimp seafood boil had 9 pieces of very large shrimp which is better than what I usually see. I got medium spicy which tasted mild, so you can definitely crank the spiciness up a notch. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the fried oysters. They were quite small and had a lot of breading.The service was amazing from the hostess who helped me adjust my hair clip to the two servers.“

“I visited this gem on a Sunday and it was busier than I anticipated so I had to wait. Not a big deal and wasn't a long time. Once inside, I was able to order right away. I Iooove mariscos and had a hard time making a choice because everything looked so delicious. I was torn between a vasiloco and Aguachiles. I ultimately decided on a Super Chavela, Aguachiles Tricolor, and a roll of sushi. I can't remember specifically what sushi roll I got because the star of the show was definitely the aguachiles!! The Chavela was ice cold and so refreshing. It did a great job of relieving the heat from the aguachiles. The aguachiles were so fresh and flavorful. I've honestly been craving more ever since and will be back soon for that vasiloco!!!“

“We are big fans of Home Eat. Takeout here is consistently good as they have their own deli area of take away dishes but you can also dine in. When we dined there, we got the lamb hot pot which was nice to share. The highlights are the fried chicken wings which are so tasty. We haven't had any bad dishes here and they usually have affordable specials per month. They also give some freebie dessert sesame balls which was a nice touch. A solid Chinese place if you're looking for consistently fair priced & good food.“

We decided to go with the small clam chowder and three piece fish chips. We assumed the fried fish would be regular sizes. Nope, they were three big hefty thick meaty fillets, stunned! Had I known the size we would have stuck with two pieces. Overall did not regret the decision since we enjoyed the leftovers. Also their tartar sauce is ridiculously good, I dipped my fries in them as well. But the star from my experience is the service of the staff and crew. Burma Choice Noodle (vegetarian) was flavorful. The only downside was that all the dishes were salty. And that is the reason why we don't visit this place very often.The staff were friendly but not striving for better service. Despite listing carrots, the Black Pepper Lamb came without them. When my husband asked about this, the response was a shrug and 'I don't know what the chef did.'There are many unique meat and vegetarian dishes. Be sure to order rice separately because it doesn't come with the dishes.“

Not something I would walk across the street for. ( not worth the effort ) - The Taco on the other hand is worth special trip for. So your atmosphere is clean, light and casual enough for work team dinners while still having an up scale appearance & feel.Clearly defined open bar space and well stocked wine selection.Parking: The main parking lot serves all the local business in the center so it is dynamic. You can drive around until something opens, or you can use the parking garage that adds a bit more of a walk.They have their own valet service right at the front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: While we dined we noticed a few families with younger children & even babies & toddlers. The accomodations appeared to work for them & the other patrons.“

I've tried fish and chips variations all over the country, but it's always nice to have a local spot. The menu has a lot of options and it was so hard just to choose one thing. The staff were super friendly and patient as I was deciding what to get. There are tables inside and outside of the store, we opted to sit outside. I love the size of the fish and chips, always a great place when the quantity of food is very filling. I really enjoyed the French fries and the fried zucchini. There was so much food that I had leftovers for the next day and it was still great.“

There are lots of veggies in it which I like. We also had the pan-fried pork buns. Crispy bottom. The filling was just ground pork, which was good. We just ordered a couple of vegetable items. Dry string beans and eggplant in garlic sauce. Both were great. The portion size was large, which I appreciate. Lots to take home. I will be going back.“

The sauce had perfect balance of sweet and sour.Hot and sour soup was delicious! Be ready to order a large bowl to share, they do not serve individual cups. Mongolian beef was not what we were used to but still very tasty. Perfectly cooked General Tso's shrimps. The portions were large, we had to take almost a half of them to go.Suggestions for improvements. Get rid of annoying hip-hop music, play something calm and sophisticated, or opposite - really energetic like "Bond on Bond", or "Rasputin" by Boney M., or even Rolling Stones. A small vase with a flower on the table can significantly improve the entire feeling.“

These were huge AND delicious. Everything about the meal was great. The chips are house made and the salsa is just perfect - not too spicy and plenty of flavor. The beans- just like grandma made them! Arroz was a little 'wet' for me - I like my rice a little more dry but it did have a good flavor. The star of the show was the relleno of course. When you approach the entrance it seems lackluster until you walk through the alley and it opens up into a full-on restaurant and bar. The owner's concept and design is a bit mesmerizing and makes it feel like an oasis in an urban setting. Plenty of items to pick from on the menu, it was taco Tuesday so I had to get one taco of each meat and wash it down with an agua fresca. This is a restaurant you do not want to miss out on in San Jose, great meat, great service, amicable staff. Parking can be a little rough to find but definitely worth it.“

There was not a lot of people sitting inside, but there were a lot of people getting take out. We ordered pork soup dumplings, Nanjing salted chicken, mixed fried rice and green onion pancake. It was a lot of carbs and filled us up since we were starving. The nanjing salted chicken was the highlight. There's maybe not a lot of places that do it this well. It is a lukewarm style dish and the flavor of the salt on the tender duck was delicious. The dough from the green onion pancake and XLB had a nice chewy texture, very homestyle-like. I would pass on the fried rice next time. This is a family run restaurant and very cozy vibe. It was inexpensive for the Bay Area and we just spent around $50 for the meal. Would definitely come back and try their other dishes. They have talented chefs and it is a good spot to go to or have take out, to enjoy something similar to a home-cooked meal.“

We live at the Markham apartments and really say that it's been one of the biggest perks of living there is the proximity to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is not fancy and customer service is definitely above average but nothing too wow factor. But the food is really outstanding and the portion sizes last a while. I get the chicken katsu there which is a mountain of fried chicken cutlets and the sauce is great. The also always prepare my food in under 10 minutes and I would sometimes call and walk there (4 minute walk) and when I arrive the food is ready.The price is good relative to the portion and not to mention that you get two large sides for all the plate entres. My wife raves on their baramudi fish and gets it weekly. I highly encourage people that want tasty food for a good price and timely service.“
