“Came here for lunch on a Saturday and have to say that I enjoyed the experience! Upon entering you're asked how many people are in your party and if you're a party larger than 2+ know that it might be a longer wait for them to wait for the current eaters to finish for them to combine the tables. You then pick up a bowl with tongs and start choosing all of the items you want in your noodle dish from the noodles, veggies, to the protein. Then you pay for your meal based off of the weight of the bowl and the broth that you want. There are additional confidemtns that youc an add into a cup afterwards--which is nice that they don't take that into account prior to the weighing --this is for all those green onion lovers out there! ~~Parking: Located in the Milpitas parking lot across from Cisco with the 99 Ranch and a bunch of other restaurants/stores. Parking can be found depending on the time you arrive ~~Service: Fair! There's not much service to be done here, which is nice --most of the things are self serve and you pay prior to seating. ~~Best Part: You're able to choose what items you want in your noodle dish, so you can only blame yourself if there are things in the bowl that you won't eat or be able to finish. ~~Worst Part: Can be a little tight in the restaurant, but there's still enough space for you to be able to enjoy your meal. ~~Tips: Come with a party of 4 or less. ~~Return: Yes!“
“Their porridges are thick, hot and satisfying. Their rice rolls are also delicious along with the dim sum. Ordering through their QR code was much easier and less pressure for me plus it had plenty of pictures and good descriptions of each item. I appreciate that they always provide extra bowls and spoons for sharing. Unisex restroom available but be prepared to wait during weekends.“
“Taiwan Cafe has all touches of an authentic family restaurant in Taiwan. It's menus are composed of relatively simple dishes. The flavor and presentation reminds one of family gathering. It's decor is rustic with wood furniture. Services are efficient and polite.“
“We came here for dinner and had a nice meal. We ordered 2 mango lassis, the cauliflower manchurian, honey chilli potato, buff sukuti, steamed pork momo, steamed goat momo, pork thukpa, and garlic naan. The food was all delicious, but we thought the honey chilli potato was somewhat overpriced for what you’re getting in the dish. Overall, we had a good experience, and we would definitely come back to try other Nepalese dishes when we’re in the area again!“
“We came here for dinner and had an excellent meal. We’ve been coming here for over a decade, and the quality is consistently great every time. We ordered the three flavor home made chow mein, beef with green onions, cumin lamb, lamb with pickled cabbage warm pot, beef with pickled cabbage warm pot, bean curd casserole, black mushrooms with green cabbage, broccoli with oyster sauce, thin sesame bread with green onion, and thick sesame bread with green onion. Everything we ordered was delicious, and we will definitely keep coming back when we’re in the Bay Area!“
“This Chinese restaurant had a wide variety of authentic dishes that were both flavorful and satisfying. The service was prompt and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would definitely recommend trying their signature dish, as it was a standout.“
“Noodles cooked perfectly. Choose from 6 different widths. Pig Ear and Tofu w/preserved egg recommended. Slight Sichuan on the pig ear but not overpowering. Flat noodles with ground pork were a nice non-spicy option for kids. Also ordered the intestine noodle soup, which was delightful. Def coming back here again.“
“This is not Vegas, but the presentation felt like it! Xian Steam Pot & Yakiniku took over the old Gen building in Milpitas. You have two dining options - Steam Pot or Yakiniku. Although the Steam Pot looked really interesting, we opted for the good ol' Japanese BBQ. This is not your everyday kind of JBBQ, but more of a place to come to for big celebrations.Fuji 富士 - $199 (serves 2-3 people)• Australian Wagyu BMS9 Short Loin• US Wagyu Gold Line Kalbi• US Wagyu Beef Tongue• US Wagyu Sirloin Steak• Kalbi Short Rib w/ Bone• Kurobuta Tontoro• Australian Lobster Tail• Garlic Shrimp• Veggie Plate (seasonal)• Clay Pot Wagyu Rice (MY FAV!! Soooo good, definitely the winner)“
“It’s super great deal for the combo options!! They offer an appetizer, a big portion of noodle, and a dessert for only about $20 !!!! I can’t find any other place has such a great deal!! And the foods here are very delicious!! Very fresh and tasty. I like the beef thin and with good taste, very gander and not too old to bite. The white wood ear soup is very soft and not too sweet! It’s the best I’ve ever have in the Bay Area!! And the service here is also very good. Highly recommend!“
“This is the most user-friendly restaurant I have ever eaten in the Bay Area. We packed the dishes and forgot to take them away, so the clerk ran directly to the parking lot and delivered them to the car The pot pork and salted egg yolk pumpkin are delicious, crispy and fragrant; The Fat Beef with Rattan Pepper is highly recommended (Chongqing people are ecstatic!) It is also dog-friendly, and the shop assistants and bosses all come to talk to it. Very cost-effective and generous portions, highly recommended!“
“Went there for lunch with my parents who were visiting from Shanghai. We got the braised lotus, braised chicken legs, dumplings and turmeric chicken roll. My mum also specifically wanted the rice ball with pork and meat mooncake to see if it is authentic Shanghainese food. Everything tasted really good we really liked it. The lotus and chicken legs had a nice smoky flavor and the braised sauce went all the way into the food. It also has a little spicy to add the kick into it. Dumplings were also very good, with thin dumplings skin wrapping the juicy meat inside. The meat inside was surprisingly fresh and juicy. I wasn't sure what vegetable was in there but my parents liked it and said it tasted like the authentic ones. I will come back again. Tumeric chicken rolls were also really good. Chicken was tender and flavorful with the nice mixed scent of tumeric and Chinese wine. Meat was fresh and didn't taste dry at all!“
“The 'sliced beef pancake' was an awesome app. I've never been here before and wanted to try something different. I picked a dried noodle dish with lamb and peppers. It was very yummy and it came out in good time. I'm very American, and ordered by scanning a QR code on the table - it was very easy. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere was relaxing if a bit basic.“
“I really enjoy the seafood noodle soup! So much seafood inside. Soup is so delicious. Noodles have a great chewy feeling. You can tell it's old style cooking that you don't find in many restaurants now. Nowadays new restaurants are expensive with little food inside. This one definitely worth the price!“
“Cafeteria style dining experience, have to order food at the front and they’ll bring it to you. The porridge is unlimited and overall pretty good. For the price, I felt this place had high value! For the food, we really liked the fried egg, the tofu strings and basically all the vegetarian dishes were really delicious.“
“I liked the veggie momos and the chilli chicken was average. I didn't like the chicken fried rice (I cannot stand peas in fried rice).Update 2/13 : Everest was kind enough to offer customizing my fried rice without peas (I should have asked). Updating to 5 stars :)“
“The only place we get Chinese food in all of Milpitas. The potstickers are as big as your hand. The meat, and vegetables are always fresh and delicious. Plus, they honor any special instruction or exclusion to a T! We've ordered take-out from China Rose for over 20 years!“
“Spicy Pork Belly with thick noodle didn't taste right. Something funky with the spicy soup so my wife ordered another pork belly with thick noodle, NO spice. It's okay. The Special Noodle in Santa Cruz has the better Spicy Pork Belly with thick noodle soup. Great service at both locations.“
“I tried their brand name flavor and Chongqing flavors, and both tasted good! The brand name one is a little sour and special, which is the same as I tried in Liu Roast Fish in LA haha. The Chongqing flavor didn't disappoint me (woohoo!) and tasted similar to my old memory in Chengdu.“
“One of the best pho places in milpitas, service was good, food was great and overall a clean place to eat. The workers there super nice, i don’t have to worry asking for extra limes and workers making a face. Food always comes in hot and the noodles do not break off! I’m so happy they have a lot of sauce options in each table. Thai tea with boba is always my go to!! Recommend this place.“
“Cafeteria style but much much better than cafeteria quality. My goto items are the #9 and #23. Both are made with plentiful ingredients and are very flavorful. The menu can be overwhelming at first look, but once you realize that the menu is arranged in an easy to understand format, you will find your choice easy. The staff is efficient but not too friendly. The restaurant is clean.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide entrance“
“Friendly owner. Authentic Taiwanese food. Cheap food for the portion. Everything was flavorful and fresh. You can tell the love and care she put into her foods. I prefer this bento place more than Chick & Tea except for the popcorn chicken. Beef green onion pancake was delicious. Try it. So worth it.“
“Very tasty food. I ordered the Vermicelli Bowl with pork and it was just the right amount of sauce and proportions between the vermicelli, veggies, and the meat that it was refreshing. The bowl was nice and big too and I finished all of my food because it was so delicious. I think I will come back here again if I happen to be in the area. 10/10.“
“Another tasty restaurant to try different items. We were not too hungry, just wanted noodles and an appetizer. Shanghai noodle and cold mushroom with tofu. The noodles had a nice texture and I liked the broth. My husband would have preferred some lime with it and probably order with vegetables. The tofu was cold as stated and it had fun textures with peanuts and mushrooms. Probably bring more people next time to have more variety.“
“I have to say that when the word "buffet" is added to any restaurant my expectations are lowered, with that being said....Shockingly good food for a buffet. Decent selection of items. The sushi...that's right I am saying the sushi at a buffet...was remarkably good. The service was hit and miss. The place was pretty busy and I didn't see them run out of anything.Solid choice for a buffet“
“Finding myself in the midst of a garden cleanup on a serene Sunday morning, my cravings for dimsum became impossible to ignore. Fortunately, DoorDash was there to save the day. With a few quick taps, my order was placed, and in what felt like the blink of an eye, a friendly DoorDash driver was greeting me at my door, handling my food with the utmost care and a smile that matched the sunny day.I had chosen eight different dishes, each promising a taste of Hong Kong’s authentic culinary landscape. And promise they did! The quality and flavors of the food were outstanding, capturing the essence of traditional Hong Kong dimsum with every bite. Whether it was the tender, flavorful dumplings, the perfectly steamed buns, or the savory rolls, each dish was a testament to the chef’s expertise and the rich culinary culture they represent. The fair pricing was the cherry on top, making this indulgent feast feel all the more satisfying. It’s not often that you find a place that delivers not only on taste but also on value, and this restaurant nailed it.For anyone looking to explore authentic dimsum or simply in need of a delicious meal without the hassle of dining out, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Thanks to DoorDash, my Sunday gardening chore turned into an unexpected culinary adventure, making for a truly memorable morning. Five stars all around for the incredible food, swift delivery, and the joy of discovering a new favorite.“
“We came on a weekday for dinner and the restaurant was already quite busy. The decor was modern and green, especially the seats caught my eyes. Not your typical Chinese cuisine ambiance. They were fuzzy green. Staff was polite and attentive. Cheung fun - delicate, soft yet slightly outer crispy texture of Cheung fun goes well with savory sauce and ham, highly recommend Tom yum chicken - great fried chicken pieces, juicy and crispy, not much Tom yum flavour Rose pu er latte - tea and rose flavour was mild, a good drink for those looking for something light Signature fried tofu - soft creamy inside contrasting perfectly with crispy fried tofu skin on the outside, pairs well with the chili oil given Beef rice noodle - nice clean savory broth, beef pieces were a bit tough, wouldn't get again“
