“We ordered the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles, beef chow mein, garlic naan, grilled lamb chops, lamb skewers, and baked buns.
As someone from Henan, I thought the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles tasted somewhat similar to the style back home, and overall it was probably the best dish we had this time. The garlic naan was decent, and the lamb skewers were also okay.
However, the grilled lamb chops were disappointing. The meat was way too tough and almost impossible to chew. After we mentioned it to the staff, they kindly removed the dish from our bill, which I appreciated.
Later, we also ordered beef chow mein and baked buns. The beef chow mein was pretty average. As for the baked buns, it did seem like there was more meat filling than before, but the flavor was different from what I remembered. They weren’t as fragrant, didn’t have much juice inside, and overall tasted a bit dry, so they weren’t really to my taste.
Overall, the food here feels different from when the restaurant first opened, and I’m not sure if the chef has changed. Based on the dishes I tried this time, I’d say the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles are still worth trying, but I’d be cautious about ordering the other dishes. I also visited the Mountain View location for lunch, but personally I wouldn’t recommend that one either, since they didn’t have stir-fried noodle dishes and only offered soup noodles.“
“I do not like Chinese food - usually too oily. But THIS food is AWESOME for me! Especially the hot sour soup (perfect tang) and the Fried rice (light and fluffy, delicious flavor). Also great was the orange chicken (not too sweet) and he sauce on the broccoli was so buttery(?). I WILL order again. Union City.“

“Jun Bistro was one of the most memorable meals I had in Milpitas, especially if you’re a fan of mushrooms. The restaurant’s Yunnan-inspired menu really shines through its creative use of different mushroom varieties, and several of the dishes we ordered showcased just how flavorful and versatile they can be.
The highlight of the meal was easily the Truffle and Mushroom Rice. Rich, earthy, and deeply aromatic, it was the kind of dish that kept drawing us back for another bite even when the table was already full of great food. The Herbal Beef Offal and Mushroom Stew was another standout, with a comforting broth that carried layers of herbal flavor while allowing the mushrooms to shine.
The Yunnan Signature Fried Tofu was crisp on the outside and soft inside, while the stinky tofu delivered the bold, fermented flavor that fans of the dish look for. We also enjoyed the Stir-Fry Beef Loin, which was tender and well-seasoned.
Beyond the food, the restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy a meal with friends and family. Jun Bistro manages to feel both creative and comforting at the same time. If you’re looking for something beyond the usual Chinese restaurant experience, especially if you love mushrooms, this place is absolutely worth a visit.“

“Great place for malatang style eating where you select your own food and portion. I love eating the vegetables there so I choose all the veggies I love to eat only. They also have a number of meat that are pretty good for your soup as well. It feels like you go shopping and they cook for you.
Once select your food and select your soup type that you want, they will cook it for you and bring it to your table. Medium spicy can be a bit spicy for some people so choose wisely.
Depends on how much you get but it could range from $15-22/person. I normally get about 1 pound of food which costs around $20. There is not much service since it’s pretty much self service.
The place is fairly clean and decent. Could be cleaner but not bad considering the traffic.“

“Lo, within these humble walls doth dwell a feast most splendid. The fragrant vapors of ginger and garlic did summon me as a siren’s song upon the wind. Each dumpling was a velvet treasure, each noodle wrought with heavenly craft. The goodly attendants served with grace and merry spirit, whilst the tea flowed as though from paradise itself. Verily, had Caesar tasted such sweet-and-sour delight, he would ne’er have crossed the Rubicon. Five stars, and a pox upon any soul who passeth this place by.“

“I had a wonderful dining experience at this grilled fish restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the service was truly exceptional. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They took the time to explain the menu in detail, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire meal.
The grilled fish itself was excellent — fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully seasoned. The texture was tender and flavorful, and the ingredients tasted high quality. The side dishes were well-prepared and complemented the fish very well.
What stood out most was the level of care and attention to detail. The staff checked in regularly without being intrusive, ensured everything was to our satisfaction, and created a warm and pleasant dining atmosphere.
Overall, this restaurant combines outstanding food with truly remarkable service. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning.“

“Went to ok noodle for lunch around 1:30, walked in and we were the only customer which was odd. The gentleman helped us setup but you mainly order from your phone. I’ve seen from the search that everyone gets the chili noodles which I couldn’t find on the app. I had to order it personally from the waiter which was weird. The food came out fast with my buddy getting the lamb which he said had a real strong lamb flavor that was overpowering. The chili noodles were okay, nothing special. The chili wonton which I was wonton in chili sauce but in reality it was wonton in a soup. Overall not the best place for “pulled noodles” but not the worse, I’ll say it’s OK.“

“Food was good and service was friendly. Our orders came out separately with some time gap in between, probably because we all ordered different types of noodles and there was only one person in the kitchen making the noodles on the spot?
The space is bright, airy and clean with modern decor. Different from typical Chinese restaurants“

“It's a very busy place on a Saturday night, so expect some waiting time. It's authentic and flavorful Xiang Chinese Hunan cuisine, not the typical oily American Chinese food. I would highly recommend this place. It's not too spicy and even my kids could eat all the different dishes that I ordered. So those who complained about the spiciness level definitely had zero tolerance towards spice. The food is very well flavored and appetizing. This place is for true foodies who are willing to try a cuisine which is different from their usual Chinese American food.“

“This has been my designated comfort food place for several months now. Solid and nostalgic flavors, great service. They really try their best to make customers happy. They respect my dietary preference well (no green onion no cilantro).
I love their traditional lamb chop (it tastes very close to what I had near DunHuang, China), and their braised beef noodle. I prefer their regular thin noodles, but other types are fun to try as well.
I think their membership is a good deal. I'm currently enjoying the free bowl of traditional beef noodle soup as a perk for membership. Yum!“

“It's all about the food!!! You don't come here for atmosphere! This feels like a McDonald's or any other fast food joint. The difference is the food is phenomenal!!!! There isn't a bad choice on the menu! This us all classic comfort food! Hardy and filling! If you leave unsatisfied or still hungry you must have a tape worm.“

“More interesting and better at night than boba.
Lots of mango jellies, yogurts, etc for $8. Something sure to please everyone with some options sweeter than others. Fairly quick and consisent. Never a long line but always busy.
Good spot after eating at a resturant in the plaza.“

“Not surprisingly for a Bay Area spot that’s been around for 15 years, both the flavor and overall quality are really solid, and the value is genuinely great. This time I got to try several of their new dishes, and honestly they were all surprisingly good. The flavors felt very authentic — not the kind of “new dishes” that were added just for the sake of launching something new, but dishes you can tell were carefully developed. Overall, everything from the taste to the pricing felt really satisfying. It’s the kind of place you quietly remember after the meal and know you’ll come back to. And the owner is genuinely so nice!!!!“

“Good price, solid food. It's in rotation for our Chinese restaurants.
Love their pork wrapped with tofu skin, soup, and noodles. Good textures, although do lean a little sweet for Shanghai food.
Pretty cheap for the quality and quantity. Can be a little oily so get more veggie/soup dishes to balance your palate.
Usually have at least a couple tables open and fairly quick service.“
“There are plenty of luosifen restaurants, but the ones I’ve been to are closed on a Tuesday. It is not the best Luosifen in south bay, cus I couldn’t find any luosi in the broth, but I love the fried soy skin on top of the noodles. There are limited variety of luosifun to choose from, it only goes with pork knuckles and chicken feet, but you could pair it with an appetizer. I ordered a crispy pork on the side with the original luosifen and it is a bit pricey if you order both. The restaurant also has an outdoor seating area which is more comfortable than other luosifen restaurants in town.“

“It's still good as always, provided me witha basic noodle soup. Some saud it's bland, but to me that's the best part, since I can flavor my own soup the way I like it.
I am curious... The meatball flavor has always been very consistent, but it has been hit-miss the past few months.“

“They offer a great variety of pastries, focusing on northern Chinese-style baked goods. Their prices are reasonable, especially for my favorite dumplings. They often have additional promotions.
Parking: It's at a huge plaza. There are plenty parking spaces.“

“Don’t let the name fool you—Jin Gege & Yao Yao is a unique restaurant that successfully blends Cantonese and Sichuan cuisines. If you're dining with a group that enjoys both spicy and non-spicy dishes, this is an excellent choice.
Among everything we ordered, the Golden Char Siu was my favorite. It was incredibly flavorful, tender, and perfectly executed. The Yao Yao Two-Style Fish with Pickled Beef (non-spicy) and the Chili Oil Fish were also very enjoyable and well prepared. The Macau Roasted Pork Belly was decent, though it didn’t particularly stand out compared to the other dishes.
The restaurant is quite popular, so be prepared for a 15–30 minute wait after putting your name on the list. Parking at Milpitas Square can also be challenging during lunch hours due to the heavy traffic.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable dining experience and would gladly return to try more dishes.“

“You’ll experience art in different moments here. The way they take care of your dishes, the food is fresh and delicious, you’ll find plants and beautiful art in the walls. The atmosphere is cozy, in different ways you can feel and see the love and care the owners put into their place. So glad to find this place.
Of course this is not a fast food restaurant. If you want an artificial burger served in a few minutes this is not your place. Bring family and friends, or your date, speak to each other about things that matter, enjoy the moment, enjoy the food, enjoy life.
Oh and the Jasmin tea is superb!!! We will be back as soon as we can! 🍛🍲🍜“

“All dishes are cooked to order. It’s like stopping at a street vendors cart. Cash only.
The food is amazingly fresh and delicious. No picking out from heat lamp trays here.
I have friends I’ve turned on to this place. Now they come to treat me to dinner from there and always buys extra to take home.
We always get a bag of wings too.
It can get a bit hectic at times.
So we always call our order in and pick up in 15-20 minutes.
Enjoy!“

“I like the ambiance of this restaurant. The color scheme, furniture, and dishware are really pretty. It's a pleasant place to dine. Unfortunately, the food and prices make it not worth it to me. The flavors feel off, like lacking seasoning or not the right balance of flavors. The beijing It's hard to justify paying such high prices for dishes that don't hit the mark. It's a shame because the menu looked really good and I like the variety of dishes this place serves.“

“I would like to start by saying, this was some of the best Chinese food my family and I have ever had. The service was not the greatest. When I walked in, nobody helped me for about five minutes. Someone walked out from the kitchen to help me with my pick up order, it was scheduled for 5:25pm. The person that helped me said, “it’ll be right out.” I had to wait fifteen minutes for an order I placed online, ahead of time. The saving grace, was the food. Everything was packed with flavor!“

“This place has authentic Shanghai-style desserts and wontons. The flavors taste traditional and comforting, and you can tell they put care into the food. The desserts are nicely balanced—not overly sweet—and the wontons are fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a taste of classic Shanghai comfort food. I would definitely come back again.“

“You must try braised chicken with potato & pepper (big plate chicken in Chinese)!!!
Please see my photos of this dish for both in-store and togo. They are both very delicious; the main difference is about the noodles, which are dryer and more sticky for the togo version. The plate is huge; we still got lots of chicken left after two people are full.
The dry fried cauliflower tastes good for me. But my friend felt it was fried and too oily.

“I got the normal broth, medium spicy, and it was very flavorful, not too spicy. Only thing is the beef shrinks a lot in size after it’s cooked so keep that in mind when filling your bowl. It’s a bit pricy, I paid about $30 for my bowl, however it was a large portion“
