“We ordered the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles, beef chow mein, garlic naan, grilled lamb chops, lamb skewers, and baked buns.

As someone from Henan, I thought the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles tasted somewhat similar to the style back home, and overall it was probably the best dish we had this time. The garlic naan was decent, and the lamb skewers were also okay.

However, the grilled lamb chops were disappointing. The meat was way too tough and almost impossible to chew. After we mentioned it to the staff, they kindly removed the dish from our bill, which I appreciated.

Later, we also ordered beef chow mein and baked buns. The beef chow mein was pretty average. As for the baked buns, it did seem like there was more meat filling than before, but the flavor was different from what I remembered. They weren’t as fragrant, didn’t have much juice inside, and overall tasted a bit dry, so they weren’t really to my taste.

Overall, the food here feels different from when the restaurant first opened, and I’m not sure if the chef has changed. Based on the dishes I tried this time, I’d say the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles are still worth trying, but I’d be cautious about ordering the other dishes. I also visited the Mountain View location for lunch, but personally I wouldn’t recommend that one either, since they didn’t have stir-fried noodle dishes and only offered soup noodles.“

“Food is okay and generous, though everything was kind of sweet. they close at 10:30, but started kicking us out at 10:15? Understandable still, but we were already packing up to begin with. We had no cash to tip, + they barely had any conversation with us, then continue to ask why we didn’t tip and if the service was anything wrong with the service x2? We were going to tip regardless, but it was kind of pressuring to ask for a tip when we weren’t greeted or treated in any genuine manner + rushing everything + the food was rushed as well. dumplings came out raw, soup was warm, and the meat hard. we ended up tipping anyways but it could’ve just been a bad night. that’s okay.

“Came here on Thursday afternoon right when they opened and there was plenty of seating. The food came out pretty fast and love the clean decorations inside.
Service was amazing! The waitress would refill our water frequently and the food was great! The tofu was perfect and tasted really good. The noodle dish and the hangover hearty broth soup was very clean tasting and very good. The tables weren’t sticky either, seems like it’s kept pretty clean.
I would recommend this restaurant and will likely come back to try other dishes and get the signature fried tofu again!“

“Great place for malatang style eating where you select your own food and portion. I love eating the vegetables there so I choose all the veggies I love to eat only. They also have a number of meat that are pretty good for your soup as well. It feels like you go shopping and they cook for you.

Once select your food and select your soup type that you want, they will cook it for you and bring it to your table. Medium spicy can be a bit spicy for some people so choose wisely.

Depends on how much you get but it could range from $15-22/person. I normally get about 1 pound of food which costs around $20. There is not much service since it’s pretty much self service.

The place is fairly clean and decent. Could be cleaner but not bad considering the traffic.“

“Went to ok noodle for lunch around 1:30, walked in and we were the only customer which was odd. The gentleman helped us setup but you mainly order from your phone. I’ve seen from the search that everyone gets the chili noodles which I couldn’t find on the app. I had to order it personally from the waiter which was weird. The food came out fast with my buddy getting the lamb which he said had a real strong lamb flavor that was overpowering. The chili noodles were okay, nothing special. The chili wonton which I was wonton in chili sauce but in reality it was wonton in a soup. Overall not the best place for “pulled noodles” but not the worse, I’ll say it’s OK.“

“They're pretty nice Chinese restaurant that makes their own noodles! Ordering is pretty easy through a QR code. Payments also pretty easy too by going up to the counter once you're done. The prices are not too bad, especially for some of the noodles and the selection they have. They also have an extensive rice plate collection to which I tried the Mongolian beef that was pretty spicy! With their noodle soups as well. They also have a adjustable amount of spicy. Service is pretty consistent so far on a weekday night that have a lot of water going around. They close until 9:00 which is pretty nice as some places can close at 8:00 or even 7:00 around here. Other than the water, there is very limited interactions with any of the employees, except if you want to talk to them for whatever reason and they'll definitely listen to you and make conversation! The decorations are pretty modern and Chic. I also like the claw machine that they have in the waiting area!“

“I had a really good meal at Chili Garden. We tried the crispy shrimp, sweet-and-sour pork, spicy chicken, and the wide noodles with beef short ribs. The noodles were my favorite! We also got the braised pork with buns and pumpkin cakes for dessert, and everything was delicious.

“It's a very busy place on a Saturday night, so expect some waiting time. It's authentic and flavorful Xiang Chinese Hunan cuisine, not the typical oily American Chinese food. I would highly recommend this place. It's not too spicy and even my kids could eat all the different dishes that I ordered. So those who complained about the spiciness level definitely had zero tolerance towards spice. The food is very well flavored and appetizing. This place is for true foodies who are willing to try a cuisine which is different from their usual Chinese American food.“

I happened to walk in while the owner was making Snow Mochi (Xue Mei Niang) fresh by hand. The texture was amazing—so soft, chewy, and fresh! I bought both the Mango Snow Mochi 🥭 and Durian Snow Mochi to share with my friends, and everyone absolutely loved them! 👍👍
With the Mid-Autumn Festival coming up, I’m definitely planning to go back for their Durian Snow Skin Mooncakes and Custard Snow Skin Mooncakes 🥮. The owner told me everything is handmade from scratch, with no preservatives or additives.

“This has been my designated comfort food place for several months now. Solid and nostalgic flavors, great service. They really try their best to make customers happy. They respect my dietary preference well (no green onion no cilantro).
I love their traditional lamb chop (it tastes very close to what I had near DunHuang, China), and their braised beef noodle. I prefer their regular thin noodles, but other types are fun to try as well.
I think their membership is a good deal. I'm currently enjoying the free bowl of traditional beef noodle soup as a perk for membership. Yum!“

“There are plenty of luosifen restaurants, but the ones I’ve been to are closed on a Tuesday. It is not the best Luosifen in south bay, cus I couldn’t find any luosi in the broth, but I love the fried soy skin on top of the noodles. There are limited variety of luosifun to choose from, it only goes with pork knuckles and chicken feet, but you could pair it with an appetizer. I ordered a crispy pork on the side with the original luosifen and it is a bit pricey if you order both. The restaurant also has an outdoor seating area which is more comfortable than other luosifen restaurants in town.“

“Our family has been coming for over 5 years. I found this hidden gem authentic Chinese food restaurant on Yelp & we love it. It is really hard to find an authentic Chinese food in the bay. Either they load with MSG that will mask the real taste food which most of them do, but not in this restaurant. Whatever the way we request, low salt , less oil or no MSG , the owner would go out of way to offer it . Thank you for the great service & tasty food 🥘“

Ordering is done though a iPad that lets you order from both sides of the restaurant! It’s a little weird with the translation, but once it’s ordered you get receipt strapped to your table. “I like the ambiance of this restaurant. The color scheme, furniture, and dishware are really pretty. It's a pleasant place to dine. Unfortunately, the food and prices make it not worth it to me. The flavors feel off, like lacking seasoning or not the right balance of flavors. The beijing It's hard to justify paying such high prices for dishes that don't hit the mark. It's a shame because the menu looked really good and I like the variety of dishes this place serves.“

Please see my photos of this dish for both in-store and togo. They are both very delicious; the main difference is about the noodles, which are dryer and more sticky for the togo version. The plate is huge; we still got lots of chicken left after two people are full.

The dry fried cauliflower tastes good for me. But my friend felt it was fried and too oily.

There's a variety of reasonably priced frozen dumplings and frozen wontons in the freezer. There are also a good selection of fresh refrigerated soy products: fresh soy milk (sweetened and unsweetened) tofu noodles, tofu sheets, fried tofu pieces, pressed tofu, fresh soft tofu for dessert, etc. This place does not rank high for their service, especially when it comes to cooked-to-order foods. While there's food cooked-to-order, the quality is inconsistent. There's a minimum purchase of $25 for credit card charges.

FOOD:
1. Pre-cooked food behind glass casing: the quality of the food behind the glass casing is good and reasonable price for a box of 2 to 4 items. Some of the selections of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items: tofu noodles, tofu skins, bean curd sheets, firm pressed tofu, stir-fried vegetables, sliced pig ears, various chicken and beef selections.

2. Hot food cooked to order: the quality of cooked-to-order food was average and not consistent.

3. Frozen dumplings and frozen wontons: the frozen dumplings are reasonably priced and good quality. The taste, flavor, and skin texture is good. The frozen wontons have good texture and thin skin that stay well in tact when cooked however there's no distinctive taste to the wontons.

SERVICE:
* This place does not rank high in friendliness, but the service is fast and it's a convenient place for pre-cooked take-outs, good selection of fresh soy-based products, and frozen dumplings / wontons.
