“will probably become my go to hand pulled noodle spot in fremont. got to try the minced pork, braised pork belly, and chili oil noodles. chili oil with wide noods was my favorite by far but they were all delicious (and it might be worth it to get an extra order of noodles since they're super generous with the sauce). pig ear and seaweed salad were also both solid!“
“Surprised by their varieties of choices. We ordered two flavors with very similar names, both related to sour and spicy flavors, but we were thrilled to find that the two flavors are very different from each other, even though they are all sour and spicy flavors, the sourness actually comes from different types of ingredients. One is aged vinegar while the other one tastes more like from pickled vegetables and sauce. Portion and price is good too. Good choice if you’re in the area looking for some comfort food.“
“Haidilao is one of the happiest places to satisfy the Chinese stomach. SEAN's service is great and he gave gifts to the children. Gave reasonable suggestions for food. The child said he still wanted to come when it was his birthday♥️“
“I would want to award this fantastic restaurant in the SF Bay region ten stars since the superior service makes me feel extremely warm, and this is the greatest spot to get real authentic Taiwanese cuisine in the East Bay!“
“I'M A FIRST TIME CUSTOMER, I ORDERED $147.22 WORTH OF EXCELLENT CHINESE FOOD, AND MY BIG GREEDY FAMILY ATE ALL IT IN 2 DAYS.I DEFINITELY WILL RETURN AND BUY AGAIN MAYBE BEFORE NEW YEARS DAY.Wheelchair accessibility: WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY IS EXCELLENT.“
“Came here for lunch with my son. When you first come in there are two kiosks where you can order your food and pay. You will also get the option to note a table where you will be when your food is ready or you can specify take out. The won ton soup was so so and won tons were not great! Maybe I caught them on a bad day but I was slightly disappointed since I saw so many good reviews online. I will try give them another try on a different day“
“Huge menu but I'm here to rave about their spicy dry pot. It's a huge portion to be shared family style. The combination of flavor and ingredient is incredible, haven't had anything as good for quite awhile. Personally I highly recommend the spicy dry pot with intestine. You can select spicy level. Plenty of parking in the lot. 5% off if you pay cash. Typical chinese restaurant, zero ambiance and mediocre service, but that's how you know it's authentic. Expect to pay 25-30 per person.“
“We drove by this place one night and saw all the neon signs but weren't sure what it was. Finally searched and it is a restaurant. We tried last week, and the food is great. All the skewers are great, and I think the pricing is reasonable. We ordered beef, lamb, chicken cartridges, grilled squid, clams, dumplings, and vegetables. No complain at all, good portion and all tasty. For the skewers, I am okay but not a big fan of Cumin, so it worked perfectly for my taste bud it might be a bit light for people who like the overwhelming taste of Cumin.“
“4stars means excellentEverything we ordered was very good. The green onion pork noodles and dumplings and fried pork buns were all outstanding. Other noodle soups were less exciting, but all well done. I'll certainly go back when I'm in Fremont.“
“A band was visiting us from out of town and we needed a spot to take them all out to lunch on a thursday afternoon. I called ahead and even with limited space they gave us a table for 8 and the chef graciously gave us corn egg drop soup on the house. We started with egg rolls and potstickers. We tried the sweet and sour pork, kung pao chicken, chili fish and the mongolian beef with chow mein and fried rice. Every dish was great, the sweet and sour pork was a hit! It's right in our neighborhood and will definitely be back, it's a shame I waited so long to try it“
“The food here is good and very affordable compared to other restaurants. Service was good and fast. Atmosphere was very nice. Dumplings, potstickers, and drunk chicken were 10/10. Eggplant (in pork sauce?) and three pot chicken were good but very oily. All that for $65… in this economy that’s a steal. 10/10 would recommend.“
“Recently, I had the pleasure of taking my son out for a special date night at Special Noodle in Newark, and it was truly a delightful experience. The food was simply delicious, earning it a solid 4.5 stars in my book. While the chow fun wasn't the best I've had, and the soup dumplings were just average, the chili wontons definitely hit the spot. However, the star of the show was undeniably the numbing beef soup. It was bursting with flavor and truly a must-try, although be prepared for a slight numbing sensation in your tongue and throat. Despite this, it remains one of my favorite soups. In addition to the fantastic food, the service was top-notch. The staff was quick, responsive, and very accommodating, despite the language barrier with some servers. Their warmth and friendliness added to the overall pleasant dining experience.I also appreciated the unique decor and ambiance of the restaurant, particularly the lavish lights adorning the overhead ceiling. It added a special touch to the dining atmosphere.Overall, Special Noodle offers a memorable dining experience with its delicious food, excellent service, and charming ambiance. I highly recommend giving it a try.“
“Ignore the old reviews about Datang, the Chinese restaurant. This is now Yummy Fresh - a hot pot meat shop. We've been needing this in the neighborhood! They are so helpful and nice! Come here for perfectly sliced hot pot meat. Beautiful kurobuta pork, Australian lamb, wagyu beef, Fuzhou fish balls, and even Chongqing broth starter.“
“So. . .when I'm sick. . .I NEED porridge/congee/jook. . .and my go-to place is no longer there so I had to hunt around (in my haze of sickness). We literally pass this place ALL THE TIME but had yet to try it so when I needed my jook, I gave it a try. The jook is excellent and CHEAP. Flavorful (not watered down like some places) and full of meat and the century-old eggs. Defintely hit the spot. We tried the BBQ pork buns too and while they look a little different - also delicious. Will definitely be switching my go-to comfort food place to here. (FYI - I'm American born Canto who knows her food, my parents literally owned a Chinese restaurant for 35 years). . .if it's not good, I don't EVER go back. I've gotten food here twice in 2 days. It's not a luxury restaurant and we've only gotten takeout but the service is quick and efficient. Interior is nothing to gush about and the space is small (not good for large groups) - I will probably stick to takeout but they're literally 5 minutes from my house so it's fine.“
“It was busy so you know it's good! We ordered spicy beef and minced pork with green beans! The food was delicious! Spicy but very tasty! The service was great. Nice quiet place to enjoy a well prepared lunch! Absolutely positively coming back for more!“
“So hard to say goodbye. My friend texted me on Sunday morning to the sad news that Little Dipper will be permanently closing their doors on Monday, January 9, 2024. Little Dipper has always been one of my favorite hotpot spots. I've been to all 3 of their locations Dublin, Cupertino as well as the original Fremont. I've been coming here for years with either friends and family and they have always treated us with the best service. Always top notch, friendly, patient and happy to help. My kids were younger then and they have never bothered to charge them even as they grew older. This restaurant was definitely about quality and service. With the news of their permanent closure I had to come in one last time. We came in at 7pm on their final day and put our name down. The restaurant was full and plenty of people were waiting to be seated. The server said he doesn't know how people knew but the past 2 weeks were 3x's busier. Word of mouth definitely spread and people had to come in to say their goodbyes. Items on the menu were already crossed out and have been out of stock for the past couple of days. We still decided to wait. We waited about 1.5 hours and were the last group of the night. We asked them to just bring out anything and everything they had left in the kitchen which were mainly veggies and a few seafood items like imitation crab and shrimp. I wished I was able to have a final full on fixings meal at Little Dipper but just being there one last time just made it bittersweet. Richard was giving out brand new Little Dipper plates and cups and people were taking them by the boxes. You can see the sense of happiness and relief him and his workers had as the night ended. He even gave us our meals on the house as well as the generous amount of sake bottles we had. I wish him and his staff the very best and hope to see them in the future! Possibly "Whatever Nom Nom" will open up (Little Dipper opened a ghost kitchen called Whatever Nom Nom - follow on insta: @whatever.nomnom), but whatever it'll be we'll be there to support!“
“My husband and I went to Liuxiang with a few friends, a Hunan restaurant we like very much. Liuxiang is full of flavor and gives us endless aftertaste. The environment in Liuxiang is very good, the decoration is simple and elegant, the tables and chairs are comfortable, and the lighting is soft. The taste of the dishes is very good and suits our taste. If you like spicy food, try it.My husband and I went to ping's bistro fremont with a few friends, a Hunan restaurant we like very much. “As a family member of a Cantonese, I have witnessed the rise and fall of Cantonese cuisine.I found this store and it said no MSG and no additives at the door, which is so important. The overall dish is not salty, light, does not rely on sugar to add flavor, and is recommended for clearing the palate.Constantly launching new products, delicious and recommended“
“I have only tried chili oil noodles at Ox9. Not much vegetarian options here. I have tried 3 locations of this place in Cupertino, fremont and Milpitas. Chili oil noodles are consistent in taste. The noodles were thick and chewy, very filling. It's a QR code order kind of place. Not much service or ambiance. No frill restaurant but gets the job done. Affordable and tasty.“
“The 鲈鱼 is not fresh, considering the $50 price tag I would expect a little higher quality. And I would suggest them to cut their 蹄花 before serving to the customer and maybe decrease the salinity of the soup. Other than these, everything I ordered were delicious and well presented.“
“The ambience is really good. Service is also decent. Food is okayish - we ordered honey chilli potatoes, triple fried rice, veg and chicken momos and chicken hakka noodles. The honey chilli potatoes and chicken hakka noodles were good . Everything else was average - chicken momos were bland.“
“Been going here since I was 17 years old. Watched the kids that help out grow through out the years. Everything in there including the decors has been the same. It’s like a Time Machine. Loved the beef fried rice and the garlic fried chicken.“
“Chicken meets Rice is my go-to when I want a healthy takeout meal! The hainan chicken is always perfectly cooked and the accompanying sauces are fantastic. This place is always super reliable in terms of service and consistency! Also love the ease of ordering online.“
“We ordered food delivery for a company meeting and they did not disappoint on the flavor of the food, the freshness, and portions. It arrived almost exactly at 1230pm as requested as well. We ordered: Salt and Pepper Fish Broccoli Beef Orange Chicken Shrimp Chow Mein House Fried Rice and 2 Pupu Platters. Our employees were very pleased with the food. We will continue to use them and will come back for future events.“
“Exceptional experience here. The Chinese skewers were incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The owner's warmth and genuine interest in customer satisfaction added a special touch to the dining experience. They were eager to hear feedback and offered great advice on menu choices. Can't wait to visit again!“
“Yum! Rock cod corn is super delicious. All the food is good and well flavored. Cash only and easy to phone in the orders. Loved the honey walnut shrimp. Not sure on the ambiance as we get the food to go. Chinese chicken salad was also delicious.“
“Fried rice is awesome, I could eat it all day. The pan fried potstickers are also really well made. The Mongolian beef was OK, it's missing something on the seasoning and texture was a bit odd. The orange chicken and lemon chicken (which is very similar to the orange with a heavy sauce, not a lightly seasoned lemon-pepper-salt kind) are good but like most American Chinese it's very sweet, which I personally don't like. The price is better than most similar restaurants imo and it's a large serving.“
“ Red Hot Chilli Pepper lived up to its name with intense food! I started with the pomegranate ginger ale and mango mojito which were both just soooo good. The pomegranate ginger ale tasted like it was made in house with heaps of ginger and a cool red color. It was a large portion for its price as well. The mango mojito was also very good with a concentrated mint flavor and loads of mango! It was rather tiny for its price though so I definitely reccomend the ginger ale more. Then we started with the Szechwan fried rice which was good. It wasn’t anything too special, but it wasn’t overwhelmingly oily like most fried rices are. It was a good vessel for the curry like dishes we bought. The Manchurian paneer was ok. The texture of the Manchurian sauce threw me off a little bit as it was a little gelatinous sticky, but it had a nice flavor and went well with the warm paneer. The honey chicken was also pretty good. The chicken was rather dry though and I didn’t enjoy the sauce too much, but again when placed with the fried rice it was still ok. Then we ended off with the fried ice cream which I would definitely reccomend as it was both unwise and tasty. With a crispy warm exterior and cold gooey interior. Tip: DONT OPEN THE BOTTLE AT YOUR TABLE it costs extra money I made the mistake and was stuck with paying $6 for some water:( Overall the food was nothing special, but their drinks were amazing and the service and ambiance were really cute especially for large gatherings so I would still reccomend to others. Enjoy!Vegetarian options: Manchurian Paneer and Veggie Noodles“
“Great little dim sum place. I am not an expert, but i loved the tripe, xiaolong bao (yes, I know, it's from Shanghai, but what the heck ?), siu mai and sticky rice. The many Chinese families around me seemed to agree, so I trust them. ?“
“Came here for the first time and it was better than I expected. When you get inside it's a bit overwhelming due to numerous menus all over with different items and combinations as well as being surrounded by a large L shape counter of food to look at and order from. This spot is small and is full of boxes when you walk in. There is no seating inside or outside. It's an order and go kinda place. The woman helping us was very friendly and even gave us a fried fish piece. They gave us very large portions as well. I had the bbq pork and chow mein combo. You can pick between thick or thin noodle chow mein and they top it off with steamed cabbage. The noddles were pretty tasty but were a bit oily for my liking. The bbq pork had a nice flavor and I really appreciate the generous helping. It did have quite a bit of fat in between the pieces so I had to dissect most of it. I don't know if that's something they could really control though. The steamed buns with red bean paste was the shining star! In the past I haven't been a big fan of red bean paste but these buns have converted me. They were soft and bouncy with a good amount of red bean paste. It wasn't too sweet either. It complimented the bun nicely. Overall I would come back and try them again and will for sure order more steamed buns.“
“I kept driving past this place and finally stopped in. The reviews don't lie! Then roast pork is so good!! The skin is crispy perfection and the pork is seasoned so well. The roast duck is also really good and comes with a sauce. I grabbed the last of the roast pork and the last of the bbq pork buns that Yelpers said was yummy. My hubby and I grew up eating those from places off Clement Street in SF and are our fave. He said he's had better in SF, but these were the best he's had in the East bay. The owner is really nice and she was very welcoming. They've been in business for the last five years!“
“Ordered #2 spicy sate noodle soup. The food came out quick and was super flavorful. The location has plenty of parking spaces and it is across from Marshall's. I thought their menu was affordable judging that lots of food places are charging $16 for a plate of food. I can't speak for all dishes on the menu but the one I had was good. It was a lot so I had to take it to-go. You can't see in the picture but there was a lot of meat hidden in my broth as it comes with flat noodle and lemon. Super tasty and will come here again. Note: This dish has peanuts.“
“Wow, this place!!! Get here immediately... first time trying this spot and I am impressed. Polite and fast service, fresh presentation of a wide variety of delicious and authentic taiwanese dishes.I got a 4 item plate with porridge, and couldnt resist ordering an extra platter to go for dinner because of all the yummy choices... very hard to choose only 4!! The porridge came with big chunks of soft sweet potatoes too... what a genius healthy addition. Loved it all! There were meat varieties, along with lots of veggie and non meat protein options. The place was neat and clean and bright. Already sent this spot to my best friend and my sister and looking forward to coming back here for sure. Highly recommended for an irresistible culinary experience.“
“Spicy beef noodle with tripe - it's not that spicy but enjoyable. The soup is very flavorful and the thick noodle has a bit of texture if you like al dente texture. Tripe and beef is very tender.Noodle with tripe - tender tripe, soup is flavorful, the thin noodle is soft but not soggy. I like the soft noodle even I usually like al dente.Pan fried bun - very crispy, not too oily. Good amount of meat and veggies inside but unlike Shanghainese pan fried bun, it's got no soup inside. Still, taste pretty good. For a bowl of noodle soup, I think this is a great place.“
“The food here was excellent, the menu was very Canto centric. It would appeared that it is a local favorite with the number of patrons that were present. There were no disappointments, as it should be with a good restaurant. Food is rated at 4.3, service rated at 4.4.“
“Stopped by BK's Bistro for some Saturday lunch dim sum!Two of us ordered:-tea $1.25/pp-steamed shrimp pork dumpling (shumai) $6.19-chicken feet $5.19-steamed shrimp dumplings $6.19-steamed shanghai style dumpling $6.19-steamed beef tripe ginger green onion $5.49-pan fried pot stickers $5.19We definitely ordered a lot for two and had some leftover. Could have gone without the pot stickers. XLB was on the heavier side and stuck to the tin. Chicken feet and shumai were good. Staff was friendly.Dim sum experience without all the chaos and carts bumping into you. Easy parking in the area.“
“Very good service. There are plenty of meat selections and several broth to choose from. Went in with family, and we had full stomach after walking out. The server takes care of us and is very efficient. They also have robots scrolling around. Cool.“
