The food is excellent, full of wonderful flavour.
A little hidden gem worth noting. The shop is modest and simply furnished, seating only up to 12 guests. One single lady takes care of both payment and serving.
Nice hole in the wall eatery serving authentic Cantonese and Malaysian food in a neighborhood close to Mission San Jose. You order via the KIOSK. Space is bright and clean, with a few tables if you'd like to eat there. The staff was extremely patient and helpful. Food was flavorful and not salty

Joyful Hainan Chicken & Bento is a small, casual restaurant known for its excellent food and authentic flavors. The place is cozy, with enough space for about 12 people, and is often run by friendly staff. Customers praise the Hainan chicken, which is tender, juicy, and flavorful, with a perfect amount of fat and a delicious ginger and green onion sauce. The soy sauce chicken is also highly recommended, offering a tasty and authentic experience. The rice is tasty, and the portions are generous, often enough for leftovers. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including dim sum, braised beef, and the Hainan chicken bento. While the ambiance is simple and not fancy, the focus on good food makes it a favorite for takeout and quick service. Many visitors plan to return for the delicious meals at this hole-in-the-wall spot.
