“This is our second time here and it’s fantastic! The staff are very friendly. You grab all the veggies, meats, noodles, etc. that you want and there’s so much to choose from. The best part is that you like everything in your bowl :) The broth is very flavorful and just right in terms of spicy (I go for mild numbing). It is very affordable ($35 for two people with 1 lb of food each) compared to other hotpots.“
“We found this place through a friend who is from Korea who knows her Korean food! She said they recently changed management and are a lot tastier now. I think I need to get all my Korean food recommendations from her because this place is legit! The galbi tang, tangsuyak (fried pork with sweet sour sauce), and jjim dak (braised chicken -- similar in style to galbi jjim) were all delicious and portions are large. The tangsuyak here is better than Koong's. The half size portion of the jjim dak came in a large platter and we brought home plenty of leftovers. We also ordered a tofu soup for my daughter, who gave it thumbs up, and a jjajangmyeon (black bean sauce noodle), but I didn't get a chance to try it. They also had fried chicken which looked good! Surprisingly the place wasn't crowded; I think it's still a bit under the radar. Service was SO nice and helpful even though our large group had several rowdy and crying kids. They did add an automatic service charge which I understand many places do for large parties. We'd come here again for sure!“
“Taiwan Cafe has all touches of an authentic family restaurant in Taiwan. It's menus are composed of relatively simple dishes. The flavor and presentation reminds one of family gathering. It's decor is rustic with wood furniture. Services are efficient and polite.“
“Their porridges are thick, hot and satisfying. Their rice rolls are also delicious along with the dim sum. Ordering through their QR code was much easier and less pressure for me plus it had plenty of pictures and good descriptions of each item. I appreciate that they always provide extra bowls and spoons for sharing. Unisex restroom available but be prepared to wait during weekends.“
“Noodles cooked perfectly. Choose from 6 different widths. Pig Ear and Tofu w/preserved egg recommended. Slight Sichuan on the pig ear but not overpowering. Flat noodles with ground pork were a nice non-spicy option for kids. Also ordered the intestine noodle soup, which was delightful. Def coming back here again.“
“I really enjoy the seafood noodle soup! So much seafood inside. Soup is so delicious. Noodles have a great chewy feeling. You can tell it's old style cooking that you don't find in many restaurants now. Nowadays new restaurants are expensive with little food inside. This one definitely worth the price!“
“It’s super great deal for the combo options!! They offer an appetizer, a big portion of noodle, and a dessert for only about $20 !!!! I can’t find any other place has such a great deal!! And the foods here are very delicious!! Very fresh and tasty. I like the beef thin and with good taste, very gander and not too old to bite. The white wood ear soup is very soft and not too sweet! It’s the best I’ve ever have in the Bay Area!! And the service here is also very good. Highly recommend!“
“The 'sliced beef pancake' was an awesome app. I've never been here before and wanted to try something different. I picked a dried noodle dish with lamb and peppers. It was very yummy and it came out in good time. I'm very American, and ordered by scanning a QR code on the table - it was very easy. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere was relaxing if a bit basic.“
“So glad my friend found this place on Google map. It is now one of my top pho to-gos for sure. Food is absolutely amazing. We ordered one porridge, 2 different pho & one egg noodle dish and had to share them bc all of them taste so good. The owner who runs this place is so nice and fun to talk to. Highly recommended!“
