“House of Dumplings is an absolute treasure! Their dumplings are incredibly fresh, flavorful, and clearly handmade with care. Every bite is a delight, whether steamed or pan-fried. Beyond the dumplings, their other Chinese dishes are also excellent. This place is a must-visit for authentic and delicious food. Highly, highly recommend!“

“Got a take out order from this place during lunch hour rush. The order was done by phone, the staff was friendly and patient as she placed my order.
Upon arrival to my pickup, I was informed that the braised egg was not available so she took it out of my order.
Well packed noodles and soup separately!!!
The portion of the noodles was great!!! Beef texture was just perfect, melted in your mouth. So juicy and flavorful!!! Tender and tasty!
The numbing spice was mild but got a nice kick to it!
Lots of cilantro and scallions which I love!!
I think overall, the flavor and portion both exceeded my expectations! This is my first visit and will definitely would got back to try some more food!!!
The restaurant looks cozy with lots of little 4 seaters tables.
Location wise, it's hidden in the back of left side of the plaza.“

“Comfortable atmosphere. Delicious Xiao Long Bao :) . Dan Dan noodles were so fresh. Cucumber salad was also yummy and refreshing, had a hint of mayo dressing. Must have Dubai chocolate Xiao Long Bao !!! Better and tastier than Din Tai Fung :) . The service was exceptional. You feel right at home.“

“Beyond average but missing some to push it to GOAT territory. The dining experience is very Chinese, from the way you order to how they structure the menu to how the dishes are served I feel like I'm back in PRC. Which could be good or bad depending on person. I ordered the signature spicy noodle combo. I agree with other reviewers that the noodles are the weakest link they are way too soft and wimpy. The soup base is good with the distinct spicy profile but the ingredients in there doesn't really get the taste integrated, they all just fell flat. Prices are on the slightly expensive side but portions are big, two people of average appetite could easily share a combo, and they have a condiments aisle you can add cilantro peanuts or whatever unlimited. Kinda weird for the noodles tho since they are already heavily seasoned, it's more of a hotpot thing. But I added some fried peanuts into my noodles nonetheless. Service was OK and vibe is family / locals.“

“I just had lunch here with my mom, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much since we eat Korean food at home every day. But I have to say, this was the most memorable Korean restaurant experience we’ve had in a really long time.
The food was done right, and I could truly taste the effort put into every dish. The banchan was perfectly seasoned, cooked to the right texture, fresh, incredibly balanced, and so generous. I had the kimchi tofu soup and the pork belly combo. Again, both dishes tasted exactly like what they should have tasted like, not masked by intense or unnecessary flavors, but balanced and pleasant.
I don’t remember the last time I enjoyed every single banchan and dish that was served on the table. I used to find myself driving from Fremont down to Santa Clara for my fill of soondubu, but there is really no need anymore. This place exceeded all expectations, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for good, authentic Korean food.“

“There were a lot of choices, but ended up getting a standard option from the menu - totally forgot what I ordered. However I do remember the how everything tasted. Hope you like spicy too… it was intense but good.I was recommended the herbal tea as well to quench the inferno, which was a great recommendation. This place is a counter inside a food court, so don’t expect a fine dining ambiance.Definitely coming back again.“

“Solid spot for some Chongqing style food. Everything I've had so far has been very fresh, quite flavourful, and generously portioned with reasonable prices. The ground pork dry noodles are my personal go-to favourite. As typical of Chongqing style food, the spice level really hits nicely! Service is polite and fairly quick. The restaurant is pretty well kept and clean as well. Definitely recommend checking this place out.“

“Pho Lan, a true family-run establishment in Fremont, delivers exactly what matters most in Vietnamese cuisine: spectacular, authentic flavor and generous value. While this isn't the spot for a luxurious, white-tablecloth experience, it is hands down the best place to find truly delicious pho and rice dishes in the area.
The primary reason to visit Pho Lan is the food, and they execute it flawlessly. The flavors here are deeply authentic, showcasing the care and tradition that only a family business dedicated to its craft can provide.
The Pho: The star of the show is, naturally, the pho. The broth is rich, complex, and clean—the hallmark of high-quality pho. It’s clear that the broth simmers for hours, resulting in a depth of flavor that many chain restaurants simply cannot replicate. Whether you choose a classic rare steak or brisket combination, the meat is fresh, and the portion size is substantial.
Beyond the Broth: While the pho is a must-try, the kitchen excels across the board. The rice dishes are equally noteworthy, featuring perfectly cooked meats and well-balanced marinades. If you're looking for Vietnamese food that tastes just like the dishes prepared in a traditional home, Pho Lan delivers.
Pho Lan offers excellent value. The portions are notably generous, ensuring you leave completely satisfied. In an age where many restaurants are shrinking servings, Pho Lan maintains a commitment to great portion size, making it a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner without breaking the bank.
It is important to manage expectations regarding the dining environment and service. As a dedicated, family-run operation, the entire focus is on efficiency and getting excellent food to your table quickly.
Ambiance & Service: This is not a restaurant built on trendy decor or overly solicitous service. The atmosphere is simple, casual, and functional. Service is efficient and straightforward, reflecting the priority of the kitchen over the front of house flair. If the quality of the food is your main metric, you will be thrilled. If you expect a high-end, polished dining experience, you might need to adjust your expectations. Pho Lan is an honest, no-frills location dedicated to its culinary mission.
Pho Lan is a Fremont treasure. It’s the kind of local spot that deserves strong community support because they consistently nail the most important element: the food.
For authentic flavors, generous portions, and truly delicious Vietnamese cuisine—from the masterful pho broth to the flavorful rice plates—Pho Lan is highly recommended. Come support this dedicated family business and enjoy some of the best Vietnamese food Fremont has to offer.
This was long due- will post pictures next time I visit them.“

“This place reminds me of the old-school Chinese and Taiwanese places you’d find in the San Gabriel Valley in SoCal in the early 2000s. Mandarin speaking, straightforward service and just good Chinese comfort food.
At 11am on a Saturday it was packed with mainlanders, a good sign. What I really love about it is the honest pricing…we ordered a noodle, pan-fried buns and wonton soup for only $41 total. That’s a steal in this crazy economy, especially considering how labor-intensive Chinese dumplings are.
- Shanghai pan fried buns were crispy on outside, fluffy on the inside. Delicious!
- The shepherd’s purse wonton was okay, but slightly over-boiled; the wrappers were gummy.
- Scallion oil noodles were delicious and in a generous serving that two can share
The elderly couple running this place are both really nice and friendly. They’re more comfortable speaking Mandarin but they speak some English as well.“

“Stopped by The Mandarin Chinese while hoping for some great Chinese food in town. The location was convenient, and the space itself is quite nice, with the added bonus of upstairs seating. Service was smooth; we came on a Friday evening, got seated right away, and dishes arrived in a steady flow.
Unfortunately, the experience was a bit mixed. The sizzling rice soup was disappointing; it came out lukewarm and didn’t sizzle at all, with a watered-down broth. Definitely underwhelming.
That said, the rest of the meal was much better. We ordered Spicy Beef Tendon, Salt and Pepper Tofu, Garlic Snow Pea Leaves, Eggplant in Spicy Sauce, and Kung Pao Chicken. Every dish was flavorful, and the Szechuan-style seasoning really stood out. The beef tendon dish, in particular, looked and tasted great.
Overall, while not everything hit the mark (and prices felt a bit high), the main dishes were strong enough to make it a solid option for Szechuan cravings; just maybe skip the soup.“

“Never had Uyghur cuisine before, and I'm sorry I waited this long. Absolutely delicious. Ordered the samsas appetizer (one chicken, one beef). Flaky, buttery pastry goodness wrapped around well seasoned meats.
For my entree I went with the lagham noodles and they did not disappoint. The noodles were so good, I would eat a bowl of them alone. Great flavorful dish. Definitely will come back here every time I'm in town on business.“

“Wadaya hasn't left my mind yet. I love that the noodles are thicker than Kajiken. It makes for a chewier bite which I prefer. I'd say the taste is similar to Kajiken but maybe the flavor at Kajiken is a bit better. I definitely like the noodles here more. The absolute star of the show is the tiny scoop of rice they give you at the end to mix in with your extra sauce. I wasn't a believer at first until I actually tried it. Best bite ever. Holy.“

“Chi Xiao Guo seems to be gone. Now it’s Liu Yue Teppanyaki Cuisine. They don’t sell hot pot in summer, but the Teppanyaki cuisine is also delicious. It’s very similar to the signature Teppanyaki Noodles at Taiwan’s night markets. Love! Definitely will come again : )“

“Great rice noodle spot! The portions are super generous — they really don’t hold back on the toppings. Every bowl is loaded with ingredients, and you definitely get great value for what you pay.

“If you are ever feeling under the weather and want to get something soupy/noodly- this is the spot to be. Ten Seconds will satisfy your soupy/noodly cravings. I love how their signature and simple R1: The Original Crossing Bridge Rice Noodles come in such a cute hot little pot along with little plates of side dishes that you can either opt in or out (also they have corn which is amazing). The pot is very hot so please proceed with caution* The pricing here is very affordable to their portion size and they have variety of choices for you to choose from. I have always enjoy the authentic chicken broth soup because it is very comforting and makes me feel like home. I recommend coming here if you are tired of eating pho because this place have good hot noods“

“Vi at Fremont Pho Ha Noi was super sweet, she constantly checked on us, and sensed that we prefer spicier sauce as South Asians, she asked whether we would like to have a spicy sauce and we just said yes unanimously! Small things like these make a big difference. And also she asked me whether I'd like ketchup with my chips, and that's super sweet of her. She made everything better about this place. Vi, hope to see you again when we visit the restaurant again!!“

“Such a lovely Filipino restaurant! The food was flavorful and comforting, just like traditional home cooking. Service was friendly and attentive, and the place is very clean and well kept. You can really tell they care about both the food and the experience. We will definitely return!“
“Im a big fan of their Phò, grilled chicken and shrimp vermicelli and their pastries . The staffs and owner Alice are very attentive and go their way to know their customers/guests. I highly recommend La Patisserie“
“Cantonese breakfast but make it available all day? Yes please!
This is the latest location to open up in the bay area making it the least busy as well. We rolled in on a weekday afternoon and were seated pretty quickly.
There are a LOT of cheung fun (rice roll) options here as well as plenty of congee and other appetizers. The pricing here was really reasonable for 2025 as well, with most rolls around $7 and congee hovering around $8. They don't skimp on the portions either.
For myself that follows a plant-based diet, I ordered their Vegetarian Cheung Fun, their Yu Tiao Cheung Fun, and the Veggie Congee (hold the egg shreds). Again, the portions here are quite generous and even one bowl and one roll would be enough to satisfy two people.
Their cheung fun quality here is really impressive. The rice itself is very silky and moist and the dipping sauce provided isn't overly salty either. The congee here was also delicious and really hit the spot for someone that loves eating rice porridge.
My mom even said that the cheung fun mirrors the quality she eats while in Guangdong. Mama seal of approval is a great sign.
Great experience with their service and excellent food makes this place another go-to the next time I'm back in the East Bay.“

“Found this place on Instagram from a reel talking about their garlic chicken wings. So far, the crispiest wings I ever had and juicy too with decent flavor. I also ordered their Mongolian beef with salt and pepper fish and pork chops alongside their honey walnut shrimp. For the money, they give you good quality and quantity and would definitely consider this place again for my Chinese food fix“

“Food here tasted great at first but as you eat it, it just starts to not taste as good. In my opinion the flavors were too strong that it hits you in the face or leaves a strange after taste to it(could just be the spices or seasoning they use).
We got the beef spicy noodle soup, ground pork noodle, num pork ribs, soup dumplings both shrimp and pork. I will say that the shrimp&pork dumpling were amazing and what would make me to want to come back for which exceeded my expectations. There were some veggies in the num pork ribs, not sure what they were, maybe mushrooms that has a wrinkled sort of dried cabbage looking texture that was also very good. I just skipped the ribs and ate those. My cousin enjoyed the ribs a lot though, but the seasoning is a bit too strong for me considering I love strong sishuan peppercorns like from hot pot. Overall, food was ok, generous portions and if I came back, its for the soup dumplings and maybe to try other dishes. Definitely need more water though.“

“It's still good as always, provided me witha basic noodle soup. Some saud it's bland, but to me that's the best part, since I can flavor my own soup the way I like it.
I am curious... The meatball flavor has always been very consistent, but it has been hit-miss the past few months.“
