The jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk were AMAZING—honestly even better than what I’ve had in Korea 😭

Also, the female staff member who helped us was incredibly kind and welcoming. She made the whole experience even better.

“We noticed the restaurant was very busy with lots of customers, so we decided to give it a try. The steamed soup dumpling was authentic and flavorful, with a delicious broth inside. We also ordered the Spicy Lamb Mixed Noodles, which were tasty and packed with flavor“

“Warm, inviting hole in the wall kinda place. Their food always hits the spot. We’ve been here many times and never had a bad experience.

Personally I keep coming back for their broth based dishes. They’re so flavorful. Perfect for when you’re feeling under the weather or just want something light.

The guy at the counter is really nice but can have a bit of a problem communicating. Luckily they have a QR code menu that works well. Just don’t request modifications verbally without a translator.“

One big surprise to me, was the spring roll was a real one! Not fluffed and filled with noodles, or iceberg lettuce, or cabbage!

“This cozy breakfast spot specializes in Shanghainese comforts. Service is brisk and no-nonsense. We ordered a few staples — wontons, noodle soups and xiaolongbao — all of them competent and satisfying.

The pork kidney noodle soup is a rarity in the United States, though here the kidney is cut thick and left unstir-fried, so it contributes less flavor to the broth than it could. It is better treated almost as a side than as an integral part of the soup. The xiaolongbao are tasty, if more rustic in appearance than the finely pleated versions served at more polished places like Din Tai Fung.

Still, this is an honest, unfussy restaurant well worth returning to.“

Everything we ordered was good. Chicken and duck is probably what they were best known for. The pork nuckle was soft but not super flavorful. The intestines were good.
