I stopped by this Togo shop last week and was honestly so surprised to find such a hidden gem in Milpitas! 💕
I happened to walk in while the owner was making Snow Mochi (Xue Mei Niang) fresh by hand. The texture was amazing—so soft, chewy, and fresh! I bought both the Mango Snow Mochi 🥭 and Durian Snow Mochi to share with my friends, and everyone absolutely loved them! 👍👍

Wonderful food, a lot of authentic Cantonese comfort food choices with some new twists in some. My older Cantonese parents thought the pork liver congee was excellent and super fresh. The roast duck lived up to its hype (slightly fatty but there’s all the flavor!). The fish noodles were a pleasant surprise—never had any noodles made of fish cake before! Joyful Cafe is a Cantonese style cafe located in the City Square Center. This newly opened restaurant has a clean, modern interior with a nice ambiance that still has that Chinese feel. The atmosphere is clean and simple, with instrumental and house music playing. The restaurant has a main dining area with kitchen and another section with their Chinese BBQ, marinated meats, and tea drinks. There is also a Takeout Only space closeby. Customers can order takeout via kiosk or dine in with table service, and can order via table QR code or by menu with the server. The servers are super friendly and attentive, checking on customers and keeping water refilled. The service is good and attentive. The food is delicious, flavorful, and not heavy or greasy, with a lot of authentic Cantonese comfort food choices with some new twists. Prices are reasonable.
