I first met the owner just prior to their official opening. He stated that they would be having fresh, homemade food there; especially and finally, breakfast tacos as well.
After awaiting for them to open, I came back and ordered 1 carne asada taco. Afterall; that is the starting point to what can lead to a great menu. Yes it certainly was delicious. I chose to have only one topping as to get the true flavor of the meat. It was juicy and very flavorful.

Los Jefes Taqueria is a fantastic spot for authentic Mexican food in a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant and generally quiet, tastefully decorated, and makes customers feel comfortable. The food is outstanding, amazing, and consistently delicious, made with quality ingredients and good portions at a great price point. Many items are freshly made, including the corn tortillas, which are soft, fresh, and feel house-made. The complimentary chips and salsa are also freshly made. Popular dishes include the birria burrito, camarones a la diabla which is actually spicy and quite flavorful, the Quesabirra platter, Al pastor sope, and the chicken mole burrito. The chile verde is consistently delicious. The meat is cooked well and everything is very flavorful and filling. It is a highly recommended taqueria for great Mexican cuisine and warm service.
