Tangs Haus is described as a hidden gem and one of the most authentic Korean restaurants, not Americanized and meaning the dishes are NOT sweet. The food is surprisingly comforting and light. The Seolleong Tang is not greasy and the broth is well prepared without addictives. Fresh kimchi made in-house is a standout, along with house made kimchi. The galbitang has a slight sweetness from jujube, but the seolleongtang is much more subtle and light in taste, nourishing and good for the soul. Other menu items include a bubbling sundubu, knee tendon soup with chewy cartilage, kimchee jeon with a great crunchy texture, and Hotteok Ice Cream. The service is fantastic and attentive, with a nice and intimate ambiance. The restaurant is kid friendly, has decent parking, and lots of dessert options nearby including boba next door. Highly recommended for warm soups.
