“Yuzu ramen was light and citrusy - great contrast to the typical heavy broth ramen you usually get. Kakiage and tea were both tasty as well. Our table split a matcha parfait at the end -- might have struggled to eat one solo. They don't do reservations -- prepare for the Yelp waitlist!“

“I like the quality of their ramen. The portion, the thickness of the char siew and the onsen egg, delicious! If i can suggest one thing, it will the hotness of the soup. They have to serve it piping hot and it will be bring heaven to earth. We ate there today and the soup is just warm.. so maybe next time i visit here i hope they will make it more hot. Thanks!“

“I recently checked out Pupuseria Y Taqueria Rosita and had a solid experience overall.
We ordered 4 cheese pupusas and 2 revueltas. Both had good flavor, but the cheese pupusas were definitely the standout. The revueltas were made with rice dough and had a thicker edge than I prefer, though the flavor was still good.
We also tried the fried corn tamales, and these were excellent—perfectly cooked, slightly sweet, and crispy without being hard.
Lastly, we ordered pastelitos with meat (came with 5). They were fried nicely and had a great crispy texture, but the filling was just meat and the flavor was a bit plain. I was hoping for more of a traditional mix with onions, carrots, and potatoes like you’d find in El Salvador.
The curtido (cabbage slaw) had good flavor, but it tasted like it had been sitting for a few days—still fine to eat, just more pickled than fresh.
Overall, a good experience with some standout items. I’d come back, especially for the cheese pupusas and tamales.“

“Stopped by for some vegan dinner. We had the vegan momo, tofu noodle soup and tofu curry. Food was good, the front desk guy was super friendly and helpful when we ordered. It is a take away place, but they have some tables if you want to eat there (we sat down for dinner)..

“good home vibes. everyone was so nice. it was very clean. they run a tight ship at this restaurant. the workers were so gracious. but this is the best dosas i’ve had in the bay area. every other dosa lacks a lot of flavor but their fillings are so brilliantly made. also their sauces had a lot of flavor“

“Went with 5 other friends and it was a great experience. Cuts of meat are good and its a true all you can eat. I don't think I've ever left a hotpot restaurant full before.
It also has the usual sauce bar and a conveyor belt that has a bunch of extras for the soup“

“Isla Restaurant in Newark is a fantastic spot for delicious and authentic Filipino comfort food. We availed the Unli Buffet with Dungeness Crabs, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and worth the price. Every dish tasted homemade, with generous portions that truly satisfy. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has plenty of free parking, making it perfect for both quick meals and family gatherings. If you’re craving Filipino cuisine, Isla is absolutely a must‑try.“

“I came here hoping for an amazing cinnamon roll after seeing so many good reviews, and while it was tasty, it wasn’t quite as fresh as I expected. The coffee was great though, and the vibe in the place is super cozy. I might give it another shot on a busier day.“

“The Kabuli pulao was 10/10 for the price, quantity and meat. Other items were mid to below mid. I would suggest only ordering Kabuli pulao here
They are a bit short staffed since not a lot of people come here. So expect delays in service“

“Papaya Thai is a Bay Area treasure. My wife and I stumbled upon it while looking for a good place to have lunch after running an errand in Newark. We had Lamb Yellow Curry Stew and Pad Thai with Shrimp. The lamb was perfectly cooked in a rich yellow curry with potatoes and carrots. The meat was as tender as you can possibly imagine. The Pad Thai was mixed with a sweet sauce that was slightly sticky, which I like so the noodles adhere to each other. I don’t know if this is traditional, but really like Pad Thai like that.“

“This buffet in the East Bay is super popular with locals, and for good reason. They have a huge selection of food, so there’s always something for everyone. Everything I tried was fresh and really tasty. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable compared to other buffets in the area, so it’s a great deal. Definitely a spot worth checking out!“

“Service was good and ambiance is good. Food was really delicious and highly recommend their egg fried rice (spicy), spring rolls, Mapo Tofu, sichuan eggplant, pepper tofu. All of them were really good. Kung Pao tofu was sweet and could have been spicier. Scallion pancakes were lacking scallions and could be better“

“I went here last weekend with a friend late at night and the vibes is what you expect from a late night spot with a lil bit of a party atmosphere. My friend and I ordered their spicy beef soup, chicken wings, and kbbq pork belly and fried gyozas stuffed with vermicelli noodles. When we accidentally got the wrong order of wings and we ate them, the restaurant kindly let us keep them with our original order of wings in which we were very grateful for. The rest of the food was great as well and hits the spot for late night cravings. Would definitely come here again with friends after a night out or just go eat at to chat.“

“We've been coming here to Simply Thai for over 7 years and honestly love this place so much. The staff is always incredibly friendly, and since they're open six days a week, it’s our ultimate go-to. We always order via their website and have found it to be super user friendly.
Their Tom Kha Gai soup is the best! It has just the right amount of spicy kick, and we get it every single time. We also love their green and panang curries (they do not skimp on the protein, and the veggies are always spot on) as well as their flavorful pad kee mow (wide noodles).
They give you decent portions, too, so we always make sure to order extra just to have the best leftovers the next day. We highly recommend checking them out.“
