“We have gone here once or twice each year since they opened and while the quality of the omakase is still high, the overall experience and service has reached a baseline 4 stars. Not sure if this is because the owners are prioritizing other restaurants in the Peninsula or this is just what happens over time.

The last time we went felt like an off day. The previous seating was running over, so many parties weren't seated until 15-30 minutes later. Didn't receive any sort of acknowlement or apology about that. It also seemed like it was only one server managing both the counter seating and tables, but she was doing her best.

Overall still the nicest omakase in this area and would recommend for a special occasion.“

“I had a great experience at this Thai restaurant. It has a nice cozy mom n’ pop atmosphere to it. Service was good, I ordered a cup of tom yum soup with a side of jasmine rice and it was very yummy. My friend who I went with is from Castro Valley and they always order the Pad Kee Mao. Super solid option if you’re craving noodles and a bit of spice! This is just my preference but I really liked how they used glass cups for water rather than plastic like how most restaurants use. The only thing that I wish they included on their menu is a papaya salad. I love papaya salad so I was a bit disappointed when I couldn’t find it on the menu. Overall, this was a solid Thai restaurant so I would recommend trying it and supporting their small business!“

“We visited on Valentine's day. which happened to be there one year anniversary. food was delicious! the pasteles were just like eating our families homemade pasteles. I wish I would have ordered more to bring home. I'll be back!“

“My kids, 9 and 7, first time having dim sum and they absolutely loved it. Living with a peanut allergy since birth has limited our dinning experiences with Asian cuisine. The young lady at the counter was very helpful in helping us try out the menu. We will absolutely return.“

“We had food catered & delivered from them. All the food was authentic, super tasty, well packaged and presented. Everyone loved it & mentioned multiple times. I recommend them wholeheartedly. We ordered Chicken Curry, Dal Makhani, Paneer Veggie Sabji, Raita, Naan, Rice, Salad & Rose Kheer. Rose Kheer was so yummy. Chicken Curry tasted homemade Punjabi. It was delicious. Paneer Sabji & Daal were also very yummy. Spices were mild. You can't go wrong by ordering from them.“

“Lake Chabot is a great place to walk - shorter walks or even the 9 mile very scenic loop around the Lake starting and ending at the Marina Snack Bar/Cafe. Not much of a place to eat through very limited selection - much much less than a 7-11.“

“My Family and I are new to the neighborhood and We often explore.. We ended up at Papa Murphys to bring home some lunch.. We were just there about an hour ago.. The Gentleman that helped us was so nice.. He had no way of knowing that I’m going through a very emotional time right now.. He was the ray to my sunshine ☀️ I left smiling feeling so lite.. “Came here after a long drive and the pho was exactly what I needed, broth was super rich and flavorful. The place is small and kinda casual but the lady working was so sweet and patient while I figured out what to order. Ended up also trying the spring rolls and they were fresh and crunchy, totally worth it. Already planning my next trip back cause im craving that soup again.“

“First off, this place has been here for as long as I can remember. During my college years, I have seen this place and almost 20 years later, it is still here. Longevity in the restaurant business is tough so when looking for a place to add to my takeout list as a new resident to Castro Valley, I had to give this place a try.

I have been in Castro Valley for about 7 months now and have gotten take out from here at least 5 times and every single time, my wife and I have been greeted and treated with love by the owners. Were there a few times where I had to wait a little while longer because of how busy they were or issues in the kitchen? Of course yes, stuff like that happens. I am a patient and understanding person. What is always consistent is the warmth that the owner just seems to emit, it must be the Thai culture and personality as having traveled to Thailand more than a handful of times, I felt the the love from the people.

Now for the food. We usually order pad see eww, crab fried rice, angel wings and a few currys. The food always comes super hot and delicious, havent had a bad experience yet with the food. Honestly, what keeps me coming back is the lady that runs the place, I adore her and the love she treats people with.“

“They have really great service super fast delivery and if you eat here often or not they are predictable and each dish we have tried from the rigatone bolognese to the house spaghetti to the spicy chicken is fantastic. The experience is above average time and time again by ourselves (me and my daughter) or with friends (we have brought about 6 different people who have shared our enthusiasm) this restaurant is a absolutely fantastic experience. I wanna go tomorrow just thinking of it now. Highly recommend sopping by as it is one of Castro Valleys nicest little places.“

“This is an amazing find in Castro Valley! We went there because we needed a place to have lunch. We were surprised with not only an amazing selection, but extremely welcoming, owner and servers, and the food! The food was incredible. They do not cater to American taste. This is the real thing. The vegetables with tofu sauce were incredible as was the pork and everything else we had the dessert of tofu with mantis or ginger is a must. Highly recommend!!“

“I couldn't find it inside marketplace, so I called them and got precise direction.
It is winter time, no tables outside, so I took a table between them and a butchery.
Chef's truffle tuna rolls are to die for.
They also have good selection of japanese sake in bottles.“

“I’ve had chicken and waffles throughout the U.S. and this is the best place that I have had chicken and waffles. Wife loved her French toast and son loved his churro waffle. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. Great food and prompt service!“

“I had called in my order the lady who took my order was very well spoken she repeated my order so they would get it correct. It was ready when I got there I recognized the lady's voice and ask her for the manger she told me she was the manager on duty. She asked me if there was something wrong with the order.I told I just wanted to let her boss know how pleasant she was talking to something about her voice . She said thank you and asked me if there was anything else she could do for me . I stop coming to this location because of the service but decided to give it another chance because I live so close. Joan made me change my mind about it so for the last 2 months I have been coming every week. Great employee. I only go in there when I know she is working.“

“Who would have expected a really good bagel place in Castro Valley? And yet this place consistently impresses. The service is beyond reproach, polite but professional with a smile. The bagels are great: bready, just chewy enough but not so much that it will hurt your jaw, crisp on the outside. Toothsome, would be a good way to describe them. The cream cheese is always fresh and tasty, Overall, for the area, a very good bagel place. PS Try the crepe with whipped cream and Strawberries, yummy!!“

“I visited this restaurant twice. It was so good I went back for seconds, lol. However, the second time I ordered a meat meal. The bbq Hawaiin chicken was so good both times, but the chicken Katsu lacked seasoning but was crunchy and hot. I loved the macaroni salad! I will still eat here, but I will order the bbq chicken
