“We have gone here once or twice each year since they opened and while the quality of the omakase is still high, the overall experience and service has reached a baseline 4 stars. Not sure if this is because the owners are prioritizing other restaurants in the Peninsula or this is just what happens over time.

The last time we went felt like an off day. The previous seating was running over, so many parties weren't seated until 15-30 minutes later. Didn't receive any sort of acknowlement or apology about that. It also seemed like it was only one server managing both the counter seating and tables, but she was doing her best.

Overall still the nicest omakase in this area and would recommend for a special occasion.“

“Great tasting Thai food with approachable pricing. My two favorites are the Pad Thai (great balance of sweet and savory) and red duck curry (bold flavors and great tasting duck). Definitely worth a trip to check out. Mostly street parking or you can find a small lot on the side of the building.“

“We had food catered & delivered from them. All the food was authentic, super tasty, well packaged and presented. Everyone loved it & mentioned multiple times. I recommend them wholeheartedly. We ordered Chicken Curry, Dal Makhani, Paneer Veggie Sabji, Raita, Naan, Rice, Salad & Rose Kheer. Rose Kheer was so yummy. Chicken Curry tasted homemade Punjabi. It was delicious. Paneer Sabji & Daal were also very yummy. Spices were mild. You can't go wrong by ordering from them.“

“Lake Chabot is a great place to walk - shorter walks or even the 9 mile very scenic loop around the Lake starting and ending at the Marina Snack Bar/Cafe. Not much of a place to eat through very limited selection - much much less than a 7-11.“

The place is small and kinda casual but the lady working was so sweet and patient while I figured out what to order. “I was a little put off by the health department biotic ln the door but decided to take the chance. It had gone from closed to conditional due to an issue with a water pipe problem, the staffer told me as I checked out. The food was good and plentiful. I’d eat here again.“

“Rigatoni’s has homemade Lasagna that is delicious. They have the Combo deal. For $20 you can have a smaller portion of your entree, a salad and a drink and all you can eat bread. You can pick from 3 different kinds of salads. The salad that has tomatoes and lettuce with croutons, or a Caesar’s salad or the mixed green salad which has dried cranberries, feta cheese and candied walnuts. The mixed green salad has become a favorite choice. There are additional food choices under the Combo deal. The atmosphere is nice and pleasant. It’s not noisy. The restaurant is nice and clean making the dining experience a pleasant one. You can also sign up with Toast Tab to earn points on your meals. Since the restaurant is inside a shopping center they have parking right in front of the restaurant. Sometimes if the parking in front of the restaurant is unavailable there is other parking spots close by to park your vehicle.“

“The food is awesome, the service is nice. The fish is very fresh and the rice blends in perfectly, very high quality. One thing they need to improve on is to be more careful with allergies. They need to ask to put rolls from the same order in the same container, especially those containing mayo. This is mainly because people are allergic to egg and mayo has egg so the mayo from one roll can easily contaminate another roll if put in the same box. Otherwise the food is awesome. “This is an amazing find in Castro Valley! We went there because we needed a place to have lunch. We were surprised with not only an amazing selection, but extremely welcoming, owner and servers, and the food! The food was incredible. They do not cater to American taste. This is the real thing. The vegetables with tofu sauce were incredible as was the pork and everything else we had the dessert of tofu with mantis or ginger is a must. Highly recommend!!“

“Came in last Sunday for brunch- one of the best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had! Washed it down with fresh squeezed orange juice, side of fresh fruit and out of this world coffee cake. Our server, Jorge was working the bar and gave us such amazing service. Best experience I’ve had at brunch in a long time!! Will be back! Told family and friends how delicious it was too!“

“I had called in my order the lady who took my order was very well spoken she repeated my order so they would get it correct. It was ready when I got there I recognized the lady's voice and ask her for the manger she told me she was the manager on duty. She asked me if there was something wrong with the order.I told I just wanted to let her boss know how pleasant she was talking to something about her voice . She said thank you and asked me if there was anything else she could do for me . I stop coming to this location because of the service but decided to give it another chance because I live so close. Joan made me change my mind about it so for the last 2 months I have been coming every week. Great employee. I only go in there when I know she is working.“

“Who would have expected a really good bagel place in Castro Valley? And yet this place consistently impresses. The service is beyond reproach, polite but professional with a smile. The bagels are great: bready, just chewy enough but not so much that it will hurt your jaw, crisp on the outside. Toothsome, would be a good way to describe them. The cream cheese is always fresh and tasty, Overall, for the area, a very good bagel place. PS Try the crepe with whipped cream and Strawberries, yummy!!“

“I visited this restaurant twice. It was so good I went back for seconds, lol. However, the second time I ordered a meat meal. The bbq Hawaiin chicken was so good both times, but the chicken Katsu lacked seasoning but was crunchy and hot. I loved the macaroni salad! I will still eat here, but I will order the bbq chicken
