“I don't frequent BR often but wanted to try the thanksgiving ice cream which is good by the way. Store wasn't busy. The server, Tymisha came out, spoke and said she'd be with me. Had a few good samples. She was able to answer my questions and multitask very well. I was impressed that she was able to handle a crisis with the management while still serving the customer. She was clear, concise and kind. Very considerate and communicative. Due to of her impressive service, I'll return. The store was clean and well organized.“
“WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:you can read hundreds of reviews about this place, but it all boils down to this: if you're in the area stop by and try the secret breakfast ice cream. It's magical. Staff is friendly, they tend to keep the store temp warm in the winter which is nice, the prices seem a bit high (my only small gripe) but none of this really matters. Eat the secret breakfast ice cream and it will put a smile to your face.“
“The best dessert/ice cream in San Francisco and an absolute gem in sf. Hilas caffe is your one stop for Italian desserts- gelato, cakes, pastries- and Italian coffee.Hila’s gelato is absolutely amazing- perfect texture, light, not too sweet. The pistachio and saffron flavors are perfect. Her espresso is also great! There’s also all kinds of Italian pastries and desserts… including a pistachio cornetto, my favorite pastry in the world! Cornettos are similar to croissants (but imo, lighter, less sweet and just better). For 9 months, I’ve been trying to find a pistachio cornetto in San Francisco like the one I had while visiting Italy without success. I finally found it at Hila’s and it was perfect, filled with pistachio cream. I wish I took a picture.Hila herself is so funny and kind- and patiently practiced speaking Italian with me.Her space is in a lovely part of mission near Dolores park and has a few seats inside. If I lived closer, I’d probably come every day ;)Grazie Mille Hila :)“
“Flavors are very accurate of their name like chocolate caramel crunch, birthday cake (with actual whole pieces of real cake), tiramisu, etc. unsure if the price is worth the amount however. Otherwise lovely warm atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: Provided indications of flavors that were vegan and gluten free.“
“Garden Creamery offers some unique and delicious ice cream flavors. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, though! There's almost always a line snaking outside the shop, and it can take 10-15 minutes to get your hands on a scoop (or two). The indoor seating is also very limited, so be prepared to enjoy your ice cream on the go or find a spot on a nearby bench.Despite the wait, the staff at Garden Creamery is fantastic. They're friendly, patient, and happy to answer your questions about their ever-rotating selection of exotic flavors. Here's where Garden Creamery truly shines. If you're looking for something beyond vanilla and chocolate, this is the place. They offer a wide range of options, including vegan choices, that incorporate Asian-inspired ingredients. For my visit, I tried the Calamansi Creamsicle (vegan) - a delightful tart and creamy coconut dream featuring a Philippine lemon. The Ken's Korner (Oahu) was another winner, combining Hawaiian vanilla ice cream with a sweet and savory hit of Ken's horner Hing Mui Sauce and passion fruit preserves. They also have more adventurous flavors like durian, hojicha (roasted green tea), Thai tea, and even black sesame. If you don't mind the wait and the limited seating space and you are looking for a truly unique and flavorful ice cream experience, then Garden Creamery is the place. Just be prepared to be patient and adventurous! 4 stars for the delicious and creative flavors and the friendly staff.“
“I was here for about five minutes, but the taste of the cookie milk & cookies is enough for me to give this place 5 stars this time. Not too sweet or rich (I do have a sweet tooth so that opinion is probably skewed) and I liked the simplicity of my single scoop. It was enough for me to get my fix and didn't make me feel awful afterwards. I didn't try the other flavors but they seemed like a fresh departure from the usual combinations of other ice cream spots. Also, from the utensils, bowls, and sample spoons they use it seems like this place is environmentally friendly which is a plus. The staff were friendly and approachable too. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area!“
“I'll start off by saying yes, this does taste just as good as it looks. I'm so glad I gave this place a shot. It was super eye catching and looked like a very unique take on ice cream. Their flavors and pastries are all hand crafted from what I could tell and it shows because they taste amazing. Everything I had was absolutely delicious and I'll definitely be coming back. When we went, there was only one person working so be prepared to wait but I promise that it's worth it. I will say next time I'll probably go with a regular scoop because I feel like I got less ice cream than my girlfriend who didn't get the bun. The bun however, was very flavorful and wasn't too thick, which I appreciated. Also if you get a bun, it does melt and get messy which is to be expected so be prepared for that. Overall, absolutely love this place and would highly suggest to any ice cream enjoyer.“
“I’m from Portland, the home of Salt & Straw and huckleberry ice cream… I lived in San Francisco for a decade now, never been here before. Stumbled in this evening and had a cherry dipped sugar cone… best ice cream I’ve ever had. Cliff notes: I paid with Apple Pay and it was only $5.5… fantastic for the hideous inflation we’re seeing in the city with food prices.“
“Their lemon meringue pie and all the custards and yogurts I have tried are impeccable. Lexie is clearly really passionate about her product. Please support this local spot - it’s also priced beyond fairly! We brought ours into neighboring Freight and Salvage for a show (it’s allowed!) and then came back after the show for more…!Vegetarian options: Vegan options too!“
“Angie’s is amazing — probably the best thin crust pizza in the city! Wood fired with organic dough is the way. My girlfriend and I have tried almost all the pies on the menu and every one is great. The date + margarita with pesto drizzle are so good. Simple yet delicious apps including mixed greens salad and meatballs are also delicious.“
“Talk about dessert! It's my first time being here, and yes, I'll be back! They had so many options to choose from! And the prices were reasonable! The staff were helpful and friendly! Which is always a plus! Clean, and I loved how they had different snacks you could also buy! They smelled so good; if I hadn't just finished eating, I definitely would have tried them out as well!“
“In San Francisco in my opinion people are not always nice including service people, this place was awesome. They ice cream was delicious. I think the owner served us and he was super nice accommodated lots of samples, delicious, ice cream, and very reasonable prices.“
“Extremely helpful and friendly staff! They explained the different flavors in detail and were very patient with me and 3 friends deciding while there were a few people behind us. This was also like 10 minutes before closing!Got the matcha and strawberry which were such a good mix. Their matcha is perfectly balanced sweetness with a hint of bitterness from the strong matcha.I'm not a specifically dairy free person but their ice cream is the only non dairy ice cream that I have tried and really enjoyed. Will be back for more!“
“This place really is a gem! Not the best hours, but never disappoints. The owner is very accommodating and oh so sweet. Amazing prices means you can take the whole family, or be a cool local and flex on em with a new mom n’ pop shop. Great treat in the heart of the Mission. ShoutoutKid-friendliness: Samples / small sizes / affordable / not overwhelming“
“Wanted a pup cup but they were all out. They offered me a free cup with whipped cream for my puppies that were waiting outside for a treat. That was super nice of them. My puppies also enjoyed the vanilla ice cream and waffle cone we shared.“
“You will not regret going to Clancy's. My family have been eating ice cream from Clancy's for over 20yrs and have never been disappointed. They have a great variety of flavors to offer and the scoops are much larger than most. The staff is friendly and serve with a smile. No place to sit inside or outside but it's worth the trip!“
“Gelato taste less quality than target ice cream and expensive, don't worth half of what hagendaz worth. They add gelatin and gums in the ingredients not pureEdit 3/13/2024I gave this place another try they changed the recipe no more gelatin now and tastes amazing ?will be going back for more“
“I absolutely love this place and their ice cream! I was looking for some koolfi in the Bay and stumbled across Koolfi Creamery, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Their Bombay Butterscotch flavor is my favorite, but every flavor I’ve tried has been amazing. Highly recommended.“
“So creamy & delicious. You definitely get the full cashew flavor in each bite. I ordered the banana nut flavor & it tasted every bit like banana bread infused in ice cream. Even after eating at Dewie's I'm still dreaming of how flavorful & tasty it truly is.“
“I am not Vegan and these are so good!!! I picked these up for my boyfriend's family who are vegan. The apple fritter was definitely my favorite, but they are all yummy. The girl working was very patient and friendly when helping me choose which ones to get. She also threw in some extra donut holes! The cinnamon one everyone raves about was sold out when I went around 11am. I'll definitely be back to bring them to the next family gathering. 10/10!!“
“Come for the ice cream, but consider the burger too.All of it is pretty thick and creamy. Great portioning. Surprisingly, the calamansi is my fave. It's for THE REAL calamansi lovers, a love for sour is required. But it's the most accurate calamansi ice cream I've ever had. Toasted sesame is awesome- like a sesame ball in an ice cream. Lemon blueberry swirl - all yum. more blueberry preferred. Strawberry poptart - fairly accurate. Pretty goodNow about that burger - solid. It's got all the ingredients to make one of my fave burgers - mustard grilled pattie, extra pickles, lots of onions, and a super soft bun. but it was too strong on the mustard, and the bread doesn't taste like it was cooking with the burger on the grill. A little toasty would've gone a long way“
“Amazing food with options that meet different tastes.Their burgers are so tasty and their sandwiches as well.I love their packaging has a minimal use of plastic. There's an indoor seating area which is a bit noisy but outside the terrace is just perfect, good luck finding a table when it's busy! ;)“
“Ice cream was great. The two young ladies behind the counter were helpful. It was kind of odd that they were just standing around. Kind of looking into space/bored. It wasn't busy and I'm guessing they aren't allowed to be on their phones. They did a little cleaning up but I guess everything was done. Just my random observation.“
“Incredible gelato!! Came here for dessert after grabbing dinner with friends. It's a cute little spot but got pretty packed while we were there because there isn't much seating. There are tables outside where you can enjoy the gelato if weather permits. The server let us sample a few flavors and I ended up getting a kids size with panna cotta and dark chocolate sorbet. Both flavors were delicious but the dark chocolate sorbet was absolutely incredible. The flavor was so rich and creamy-I had a hard time believing it was sorbet. And an even greater compliment: my friend, who had just gotten back from Italy, said that Almare is better than gelato in Italy!“
“Really good service and ice cream. Their ice cream choices and menu choices have a lot of really good options and are super tasty. There’s always a line out the door at this place tho because they are well known for the matcha quality and the good ice cream and lattes. They are pretty fast service too.“
“Fresh baked cookies with very unique cookie flavors (like funfetti & carrot cake). I did expect it to be cloying and super sweet, but it was nice. You could taste the ingredients and the ice cream was great without being "syrup-y". The staff was super friendly, but be warned that they do not always have all the flavors all the time. We waited for about 15 min because we wanted to try the funfetti cookie and some were just coming out of the oven. There were also a few ice cream flavors not in stock. You can take it on-the-go and walk around Fisherman's Wharf, or you can sit in a few picnic tables and chairs to eat it there. Worth a stop and better than the chain ice cream shops nearby.“
“I love donuts! This place not only has the variety of flavors but the customer service is excellent. Very friendly couple helped me with my order. I got the maple bacon donuts, twists, and donut holes. I found out about them through the Too Good To Go app. I'm so happy I did cuz now I have a new favorite spot. Very happy tummy!“
“I was in the city visiting some friends and we wanted ice cream. This was down the street from where we were staying and i decided to give it a try. I had oreo and my friend got peanut butter indulgence. Ice cream was above par! Tasted fresh, creamy, and airy. I didnt get a chance but next time i will be ordering their black walnut!“
“Worth trying but not necessarily returning. The sandwiches were good but not great, fresh ingredients and well prepared but nothing nocks your socks off in terms of flavor. Ihad the Dagwood on Dutch Crunch and also tried the pastrami on a soft roll and both were just OK. Sep 2015.“
“Wow! What an incredible experience it was to go to Fentons Creamery for dessert! Ww could have had burgers and other diner-foods but we focused on their HUGE selection of ice cream varieties as well as combinations of flavors. While we shared three huge scoops of wonderful homemade ice creams, our friend ordered a scoop of chocolate ice cream served with hot fudge! Going to Fentons is a treat for kids of all ages! They also sell delicious ice cream cakes!“
“iScream for ice cream! As a child, it was always special when my family would take me here for a sweet treat. Fast forward, now that I'm dairy-free, I haven't been to iScream since I was a teen but I'm so glad that I've come back with my childhood best friend! My best friend and I came on a weekday afternoon. It was the perfect sunny day for dessert. The ice cream parlor is on the smaller end with a couple of tables, but it mainly operates as take-out. Plenty of happy families and customers come in, and service has always been inviting and kind. Operating as an artisan ice cream shop, you can taste the quality of their ingredients, plus free samples. They offer traditional and specialty flavors as well as different sizes and cups and cones. Their Burnt Caramel was my go-to as a child but this go around I had baby scoop of the Pink Grapefruit Sorbet. The Pink Grapefruit Sorbet was sweet and the grapefruit flavor came at the end, though it melted quite fast. My only wish is that they offer more vegan flavors! My friend enjoyed the Marzipan. iScream is a special place ice cream lovers gravitate towards on Solano Ave. Find street parking in the area. There's always a group of happy customers coming in and out! I'm looking forward to coming back again soon.“
“Post lunch milk shake! Clancy's is closed on Wednesdays, and I wasn't going to be denied! We swung over to Loards and got our fix. The shop is in front of their production facility. There's a small parking lot and plenty of street parking. Not sure what happens at night though. We were greeted from the back room as we entered. Apparently, the person who works the counter has other responsibilities as well. She came out very quickly, was friendly and asked how she could help us. The shop is a throwback to ice cream parlors of olde. There was an open case with sodas and a coffin case with plenty of "pints" & "quarts". The flavor menu was on a board above and behind the counter. The service freezer was a older type design where each rectangle and two doors that were hinged and could be opened separately or completely removed from the opening. The doors were not see-through unlike a more contemporary ice cream parlor. She got a Champagne Sherbet Freeze which she thoroughly enjoyed. It started with a new can of Club Soda, the remainder was presented to us when the drink was completed. I got a Coffee Shake. It was all ice cream, no milk. Probably thick enough to stay in the cup upside down and thin enough to go through a straw. Not a bad deal for $5.95. Definitely worth a visit when in the area and craving ice cream! Next time, a Banana Shake with Banana!“
“I've lived near this dessert spot for a whole year before trying it and I'm mad at myself that it took so long. This place is incredible and had one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. I had the strawberry yuzu cheesecake and my tastebuds were overjoyed. There aren't enough words to describe how delectable and delicious this dessert was. If I could eat it over and over again - I would!! It is a bit on the pricey side but 100% worth it. Taste is obviously spot on but the desserts are beautiful as well and you can tell they really care about their craftsmanship! The workers were also super kind and helped me choose what to order based on my preferences. I will most certainly be back and recommend it to everyone I know.“
“Wow now I know why I see so many people sitting outside this place every time I drive by. The yogurt is absolutely amazing. We had tropical yogurt it was passionfruit and guava, and my daughter absolutely loved being able to put all the toppings on her frozen yogurt. It was such a great treat, and it made for a great place to take my daughter on our special date.“
“If you've never had mochi or mochi ice cream, you should definitely order 2 or 3 of those here. We like salted caramel the best. The soft-serve ice cream is solid too, especially the seasonal flavors. If there's no seating available on the nearby benches, go upstairs, there's a couple more benches there, and they're usually available.“
“The Yogurt is okay, but good value and very popular place. You can choose and mix flavors, and up to three topping for $1.What I like most is that they put toppings inside also, they mix the topping in so it’s not just sprinkled on the top.“
“Review from 4/11/24: My cousin and I took my one year old son and he loved the orange cream and sour watermelon Italian ice. The guy working was nice and let my son try the banana Italian ice, but he did not like it. My cousin ordered mango and passion fruit Italian ice. The passion fruit wasn't very tasty, but the mango was delicious.“
“Love the rotating ice cream flavors, interesting flavor choices and all were tasty. We tried the ginger, marzipan, red bean, and pumpkin. The marzipan and ginger were especially flavorful. We got the ice cream sandwiches, the bread is very similar to a doughnut. The ratio of ice cream to bread is perfect, although it tastes best when eaten right away and the bread is still a little warm. Not a negative but just something to note - the sandwiches are pretty messy to eat, so grab napkins!“
“these are going to be as sweet as they look. some flavors are a little better than others. but the cornbread was so good it was eaten before i could get a photo. really enjoyed the brownie batter. but the strawberry could have used a better cookie recipe and less frosting“
“Very pretty gelato! Would recommend picking contrasting colors so your flower doesn't end up quite as boring as mine. The gelato is tasty, though the flavours are a bit subtle. I like the concept, but unfortunately the gelato texture became a bit too melted once it reached my hands. The flower design takes a while to complete.Worth it for the gram at least once though!(Btw, unlimited choice of flavours, your selection just affects the size of the flower!)“
“Ghirardelli chocolate experience is one of the best attraction in san francisco, it is a must visit place for chocolate lovers. It has some cafes, bars, and restaurants, with the display of the chocolate making process. There are souvenir and chocolate shops with a lot of variants of the product. Great time to spend right here for sure.“
“Forgot to take a picture of this before I got almost half way through eating it. The green tea soft serve was delicious and not too sweet (just how I like it). The fish shaped waffle cone is delicious on it's own too: crunchy exterior, but still fluffy and cake like inside. The Taro filling in the waffle was a very nice sweeter addition overall too. Definitely the perfect treat to top off a beautiful sunny day outside!“
“The waffles are good! It’s not super sweet, the taste is just right. The waffles are crispy and you can customize your waffles as well! *They don’t have indoor seating*Better order through the app (Snackpass) beforehand so you don’t need to wait so long“
“Kicked it at Kaleidoscope Coffee in Point Richmond! It's not your typical coffee shop – during the day, it's a cozy spot for coffee and ice cream, and at night, it turns into a lively hangout with performances.Their menu is full of local goodies like Tara's Organic Ice Cream and Wrecking Ball Coffee. I tried their unique creations like beet hummus and indulged in Revolution Muffins and Bakin’ Vegan pastries – all delicious! The atmosphere is buzzing with energy and community spirit. Kaleidoscope Coffee is definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!“
“Came here with a friend who knows that I like trying out unique flavors. This little discreet ice cream shop nestled in Alameda was small but had a lot to offer. They had super interesting flavors : match Oreo, animal cookie, pandan coconut, Dan tat (!), calamansi, durian and more. I have tried many Asian flavored ice creams, but find most of them are lacking in flavor or leaning more on vanilla or creamy tones to make them more palatable for folks unfamiliar with them. I, however, want my ice cream to taste exactly like Durian or Ube if that's how it is labeled, not a toned down version. This place delivers on that because you're getting exactly what you imagined with no punches pulled. The Dan tat (egg tart) flavor especially blew my mind because I have not ever seen this flavor offered before, it's one of my favorite nostalgic treats from childhood and it tasted exactly like an egg tart. I did end up getting matcha Oreo instead because I was in the mood for something not too sweet and the authentic bitterness in the matcha was the perfect solution. My friend got the animal cookie and it was a perfect rendition of the cookie itself. The workers were nice and tolerant of us trying out a few different samples which is how I know everything was super flavorful. My only critique is that the size of the scoop and quality of the ice cream itself could be improved a notch, but I'm used to Gunther's in sacramento so it's hard to compare.“
“If you’re like ice cream sandwiches (I once ate a whole box by myself) than this is the place to go! You start by picking your base from about 6 different cookies or brownies. They will warm them up for you. Than you pick your ice cream from about 12-18 kinds. It was big AND delicious. Staff was very friendly and you can eat the inside or outside. DO IT!Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly“
“La Copa Loca - Amazing Local Gems! Huge shoutout to Mauro and Soni at La Copa Loca! Not only do they have the best gelato in town (seriously, it's incredible!), but they're also the most wonderful neighbors. Soni is baking cookies for our upcoming community event on Saturday, March 23rd at Alioto Park, and Mauro is bringing their gelato cart! This is exactly the kind of community spirit that makes our neighborhood so special. On top of their amazing gelato, La Copa Loca also has delicious fruit juice and makes incredible ice cream cakes. Highly recommend checking them out!“
“My favorite flavor is peanut butter fudge ripple which has my favorite flavors - peanut butter and vanilla with just a touch of chocolate. Humphrey Slocombe has tons of other flavors - I've tasted those other flavors - but I haven't found one that I like more than peanut butter fudge ripple. The line can get long and depending on what people order, it can take a bit of time. The ice cream is on the pricier side for those who are watching their budgets....but the servings are small for those who are watching their waistlines.“
“I had been craving fro-yo/soft serve for a while, so when I was tasked with picking the team post-lunch dessert, I knew exactly what I was looking for. Shoutout to Yelp for helping me find this hidden gem, and yes, it is pretty hidden! It's tucked away down an alley you might not think to venture down unless you know what you're looking for. I got a small (which is actually pretty big) half chocolate soft serve with French custard and Oreos on top and it was exactly what my heart, mouth, and stomach had been craving. It was so good in fact that I devoured it within minutes. The man working was nice and answered all our questions about toppings and the different sizes. So happy we found this spot!“
“Came across this place while having dinner at the public market in emeryville. I loved the concept of cashew ice cream, it felt like a healthier alternative to regular ice cream so I gave it a go! The employee was so sweet, taking her time talking through all the flavors with me and letting me try any and all flavors I desired lol I ended up getting their matcha and specialty flavor and it was such a yummy pairing! I'll definitely go back and even try their other locations“
