“Vegan (& Gluten-free) flavors! I loved the pluot, the dark chocolate, and the walnut (that has no pieces of nuts in it, which is really helpful to those like me who can’t have much fiber). Additionally, I found all three flavors more refreshing than (sickeningly) heavy, and the flavors 🤩 🎇—like the grand finale of a fireworks show for the taste buds. I’ve only had about a spoonful of each so far but am in love 😍🤤😋. I didn’t go to the shop, someone brought me some, so I’m not able to give my opinion on the actual shop. From what I heard, though, it wasn’t as crazy as many ice cream places are on hot weekends! 😊“

“We visited from across the country, and this was our first visit to any of The Yard's locations. Sean was a bright spark in the place. They were just beautifully kind, and incredibly helpful. We went in for the milkshakes and they were very good, all the flavors, it was difficult to decide. I got the Pecan Turtle, which was so rich and good. We also ended up getting some cookie dough to bring back home (in our checked bag, which made it home beautifully after talking to Sean about if he thought it would work). The dough was also sooooo good! I think that there is something different about the dairy products in the PNW versus the South East, it's richer, and perhaps fresher. I definitely recommend this location, especially if you're lucky enough to see Sean 💙“

“Everytime I go there, the staff are always warm and welcoming. The prices are great as far as I'm concerned. They keep it very clean and tidy. It's never been too busy. And the atmosphere is perfect for a random after school treat worth the kids.“

“My experience at Passione Caffè in their gorgeous two-story, well-decorated café at 91 Shattuck Square was simply marvelous. It almost goes without mentioning, but Passione Caffè is absolutely true to its slogan: “A corner of Italy in Berkeley.” From the food and drink to the atmosphere and the service, this is the only truly Italian café I have found in Berkeley! And that comes from over a year of experience living and traveling in Italy! Besides the beautiful architecture and interior design of Passione Caffè—not to mention its convenient location next to Downtown Berkeley BART—I would like to point out some highlights on the menu. The pastas are all made with homemade, organic noodles and made-to-order sauces. The pasta dishes are so fresh and authentic! The spaghetti with meatballs, their only Americanized dish, is to die for! The pizzas also are also made with home-made dough and gluten-free options are offered. Try one with fresh prosciutto, mozzarella, and arugula! The fresh panini with Italian meats and cheeses round out the lunch menu. It is possible to have a filling lunch for $7-15, which is definitely reasonably priced by Berkeley standards! “I’m happy to still see a Baskin Robbins in Vallejo that has been here for many years still in business. Small inside but mighty and busy! Prices have definitely gone up over the years and they still have multiple and more than 31 flavors. My all time favorite baskin robbins flavor that I like to get is their mint chocolate chip ice cream, I like their shaved chocolate chipping. I feel lkke the cake cone is the less messy cone because at the end my ice cream falls through the sugar cone. Jamocha almond fudge was one also that I used to get. There are some seats inside, small parking lot that can get busy and I just ended up parking around the corner on the street to make it easier for myself. Service was great and busy and glad to see all of the business still here in Vallejo. The plaza can get busy with parking.“

“From what I can tell, this is one of the best ice cream and sweet shops in Berkeley! It's hidden in Crave Subs, but it has a lot of appeal in its own right.

The stand is decorated with waffle-cone lattice and decorative ice cream cones attached to the ceiling. It has bright and attractive signs and electronic arms whirl the ice cream right in front of you. Not only is the storefront adorable, but it's also located in the cartoon-themed Crave Subs. You can tell that the working area is kept very clean.

The menu is actually pretty extensive. It's a place that sells croffles, crepes, scoops of flavored gelato, milkshakes, and coffee. The gelato here is incredible!

The prices are entirely what I would expect, and the quality is very high. Everything they serve is beautiful, tasty, and carefully made! It appeals to children and adults alike.

The service is great! They are friendly and careful attentive with their work.

They do close early , earlier than their posted hours though sometimes a half hour early so best to arrive over an hour before they close . “This is purely a review of their food - I'm not about to judge them on the space since they're kinda in a parking lot. I've had their food a few times, and I usually start on my meal about 5 mins after I got it from them. This is kind of a factor for burgers and fries...

...And they are excellent! Their burgers are solid, and very reasonably priced. I like Jack in the Box, but if I'm paying $8-10 on a nice burger from either place, Fosters Freeze is by far the better choice. Minimal grease or salt, doesn't make me want to run and grab a salad afterwards - yeah, these guys are legit!

As for fries, I'd rate them as pretty good overall, but you can't go wrong with their waffle fries - so good that I'm tempted to go back just to order only those!

“When they first opened they were on top of their customer service but now it seems as if it’s declined. The manager (older male) was really attentive, had a great conversation with him and even tried all their ice cream. The antojitos is all good so this review is not about the food/snacks. Some of the staff is friendly and they do everything rushed and sloppy. This is my third time asking for paleta de fresa de agua and I get the wrong ones, this time I took a picture of it but the other two times I threw them out cause they are too sweet with the crema inside. I mentioned it to the girl that helped me out, I asked are you sure it’s the right one cause I been given the order wrong the past two times and she assured me and the girl that was overseeing her also said the same thing But, still got it wrong. They need training on their own items maybe if they were labeled they would but it’s disappointing to spend between $50-60 every time I go and get the wrong stuff.“
