“ACT Catering is absolutely fabulous to work with!!!! First, their food is wonderful and delicious -- they source their produce locally, so it is always fresh, healthy, and in season, and they take special care to design a menu that suits your audience. We recently organized a conference that included around 300 people, and they managed to create breakfast, lunch, and a robust reception that pleased everyone -- the food was happily consumed by all, and we received many positive comments on it :) But perhaps just as importantly, they are incredibly professional, attentive, and amazing problem solvers. They view their job as not only to provide the best food possible, but also to work with you to create the best experience possible for you and the audience they're cooking for. They worked with me in menu selection, room configuration, and setup design, and at every step of the way, they were kind and insightful. They are smart thought partners as well as fantastic chefs, and I would recommend them highly for any occasion. I loved working with them and look forward to future opportunities to work with them again!“
“I just picked up a Mushroom Shawarma Wrap with Garlic Hummus at the Over 60 Clinic (Lifelong Medical Care's clinic for elders.) I ate half the wrap for dinner today and am looking forward to having the second half for my birthday lunch tomorrow. Wonderful food! I was really impressed by the spicy taste. I've been sadly aware that a lot of vegetarian food is so bland, but this wrap was a real exception. I did add some cashews to the wrap and they seemed to enhance the flavour. Here's hoping that other elders at the clinic also discover your great food. I'll be checking your web site to see if you have a place where I can try more of your dishes in the future.“
“Incredible opportunity to try the neighborhoods catering food. Walking around the block you can catch the wafts out of their kitchen. Truly delectable and healthy options.Fig & goat cheese amuse bouche while they gathered out items. Highly recommend trying AT LEAST TWICE!“
“I dropped in for a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon. I was in the mood for some mole. I have a dairy allergy but the staff was happy to serve the mole enchiladas without the cheese or crema. The dish was fantastic. You can taste both the sweetness of the chocolate and the spice of the peppers. And the rice on the side was perfectly executed, not sticky or clumpy like most places. I also ordered a glass of Sangria, which was ok. Next time, I would order a Mexican beer. This is serious Mexican comfort food.Dietary restrictions: They happily prepared their famous chicken mole enchiladas without dairy.“
“Mashaallah started out as a food truck but now has a stall in the food court of Westfield San Francisco. Despite its humble appearance, this small business offered some of the best Pakistani food I've had in the city from its steam table of freshly-prepared meat and vegetable curries. A star dish here (which came recommended by Soleil Ho) was the Lamb Korma, made of super tender, lean, meaty chunks of lamb in a spiced curry. On my combination plate, I also got the Chana Masala (chickpea curry) and the Palak Paneer (cheese cubes in a velvety puréed spinach sauce), served along with rice. Every item was delicately spiced and flavorful without being too salty, and the garnishes of raw onion and cilantro brought out the freshness of the dishes. On the side, I also had an order of Garlic Naan (another star item), which was perfectly soft and chewy and had a wonderful flavor and aroma from the garlic and herbs. Overall, the food here was absolutely delicious, and the owners were so friendly and hospitable too!“
“1st at all.. I wanted to try this restaurant many times but always I had something to do.. so I've booked here @Yelp for Tuesday.. but it's closed. Actually Monday and Tuesday's are closed. I've finally tried their Quesabirrias... AMAZING!. They taste delicious. I've also order Jamaica water and is perfect. The place is NEAT, good relaxed ambiance with very low noise levels, which for me it's a must. Also, the waitress is super sweet. I'll be back for more food bc I had a late breakfast so my stomach got full with 2 (of 3) Quesabirrias and I'm saving space for the flan!. Flan: it was all my kind because it's in the side of more consistent thick desert. Really tasty I dessert“
“A charming spot in downtown Oakland, where great service meets quality coffee. The owner’s dedication to improvement, seeking customers feedback, and surprising us with special treats, be it coffee or pastries, adds a delightful touch to the experience.“
“Kiss My Seoul is a great reason to come to the alley across from Hall of Justice, even if you don't have jury duty. A very well priced, very large bowl of food, with many ingredients. I had the pork, it was seasoned beautifully. This is now my go-to when I want "Seoul Food". ??“
“This Korean market used to be in Downtown Oakland and a few years ago to moved to Montclair which is my neighborhood so I personally was happy it moved there.EM Deli has a wide range of Korean and Asian products ranging from meats, noodles, rices, some veggies and a variety of sauces and spices. There is some prepared cooked foods (fried rice, kimpap, etc.)They have a meat section which has Korean bbq grade cuts (thinly sliced steak, pork for hotpot or Korean bbq)“
“My friend recommended this place to me. The place is fairly simple and clean. You order at the counter. There are a few tables for you to dine in, but I find most people order to take out.I like the Simurgh kebab sandwich. The kebabs were delicious but what stood out for me was the Turkish bread. It's not like anything I've had before. It is grilled, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is probably my favorite sandwich bread now. They make them all from scratch.I've only been there twice, but it's a place I would return again.“
