“I feel so lucky to have found chef Aaron through a friends referral. I ordered several platters of rolls from him for my husbands birthday party, and a platter of the chicken sliders for the kids. Everything was super high quality, fresh ingredients (real snow crab in the California rolls!) and very reasonably priced. The katsu chicken sliders were huge and absolutely delicious. His menu for live catering is also quite reasonable and I can't wait for an excuse to have him cater another event!“

“I hosted an end of the year party and retirement celebration for my school colleagues. We went with the BIY option and guests really enjoyed making and baking their own pizzas!The pizzas themselves received rave reviews from guests…some went back for seconds! The pizza was delicious and cooked so quickly and to perfection in the pizza ovens which were super simple to use. Everyone had a great time and expressed how much fun they had and what a unique idea it was to have for the party.Kellie Joe was so easy and pleasant to work with. Throughout the entire process she was easy to get in touch with and clearly explained all the steps necessary to ensure the event was a success.Would definitely work with Kellie Joe again and plan another pizza party!“

“This Korean market used to be in Downtown Oakland and a few years ago to moved to Montclair which is my neighborhood so I personally was happy it moved there.EM Deli has a wide range of Korean and Asian products ranging from meats, noodles, rices, some veggies and a variety of sauces and spices.There is some prepared cooked foods (fried rice, kimpap, etc.)They have a meat section which has Korean bbq grade cuts (thinly sliced steak, pork for hotpot or Korean bbq)“
“We hired Elisa's catering for our wedding back in October 2023. We both were very interested in doing a taco bar for our wedding, and Elisa's had such an amazing set of options, especially for all vegetarians and vegans. They also provided our appetizers for the cocktail hour. When we did our meeting with Juan, he was very open with our requests, and was very reassuring when it came to making sure that our guests would have plenty of food to eat (something that was very important to us). He also introduced us to our day of coordinator Brandy. Brandy took control of all communications with our vendors, as well as organizing the orders for all our tables, chairs, etc. Having her help us was such a relief. On the day of the wedding, Brandy and Elisa's team did such an amazing job of making sure that our guests (and us!) were fed. All of our guests raved about the food, and the Elisa's catering staff were honestly some of the sweetest and loveliest people. We even had leftovers afterwards! We felt so thankful having this amazing group of people work with us on the day.“

“We have now been here several times. This the perfect 1/2 way point between picking my son and going home. It is across from the Coast Guard Island. The location is safe. Plenty of parking. We come for the FILIPINO STYLE barbecue and friendly service. Everything is great! Especially when the mother-in-law makes a surprise visit and cooks up her specialty pansit (not on the menu). Everything is fresh and cooked (and barbecued) with love. I think we’ve tried everything now. My favorite is toss between the FILIPINO STYLE barbecue Banh Mi sandwich and “THANK QUE” chicken bowl. There are a few tables inside and when the weather is nice, plenty of seating outside. I look forward to hearing live music in the future out there.Parking: Parking is shared with the charter school during weekday school hours. Take notice of parents, zooming in/out of their designated entrance and exit at the end of the school day!“
“Hands down the best party decision I've made. I hosted a 60 person adult birthday/graduation party with catering from Ranchero. Customer service was excellent called days poor to check headcount, before coming and was 15 minutes early to set up. Set up in second and took the mess with them.. yes!!!! The food was flavorful, warm and extremely tasty. Had more than enough for people to get 2nds and 3rds. So many options. Something different for everybody, as we know how hard it is to feed so many people with dietary striction's nowadays. The staff was extremely helpful, fast and always had a smile.. “I'm from the East Coast (NY) and recently my Brother in-law and I visited a few cities in the state of California. First, we spent a few days visiting family in Los Angeles and Santa Ana. At the last minute of booking the trip, my Brother in-law decided he wanted to visit an old college buddy named Roderick (Roddy) in Oakland.He mentioned that Roddy had a BBQ restaurant named Roderick's BBQ. So the plan was to fly down from Santa Ana to San Francisco, make the drive to Oakland and spend our final evening in California hanging out with Roddy at his restaurant. I didn't know what to expect because I had never met him. Well, he rolled out the red carpet along with some of the finest food (not just BBQ) you will ever have in your life.You name it, we had it, and it all tasted incredible. Ribs, Tri-Tip, BBQ Chicken, Hot Links, Fried Chicken, Fried Catfish, French Fries, Mac & Cheese, and Potato Salad. The Ribs were tender and perfectly cooked, as was the BBQ Chicken. The Tri-Tip was tender and just melted in your mouth. The Hot Links had the perfect amount of flavor and heat. The fried chicken and catfish was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tasted great. The french fries had a light dusting of their in-house seasoning that was absolutely amazing.The Potato Salad and Mac & Cheese was incredible as well and to wash it all down was some of the most amazing Kool-Aid ever. The type of Kool-Aid that takes you back to your childhood. You better believe the next time I'm on the West Coast, I'm getting me some Roderick's BBQ. This place is a hidden gem and if you live in the Oakland area, you should run (not walk) to Roderick's BBQ immediately and try some of this amazing food. If you live 1-2 hours away, it's definitely worth the drive. Pull up a chair, enjoy the food, and tell Roddy that Chris and Sean sent you and he'll take good care of you. Plus, he's a great guy, a great storyteller, but he's an even better cook.Kudos to Roderick's BBQ!!!“

“I needed a Caterer for my mothers memorial service. The one my mom had chosen went out of business. It was back to the drawing board when timing was tight. I looked on line, and chose three Caterer's to inquire. When Brittany responded, I knew I needed to look no further. She came back quickly with a proposal that included a sample menu, floral arrangements, and service. Communication was quick, concise and flexible as details on attendance, food allergies and preferences emerged. The day of the event, her team were on time, quietly arranging and decorating tables, preparing the food, bar and service area. The staff were friendly, and professional! The food was prepared on site, fresh, beautifully displayed, delicious and plentiful. The clean up was immaculate. "Like it never even happened."
