“Served fast, top quality meat. I had the brisket sandwich and the meat melted in my mouth. Corn bread was good. My husband had the ribs, he absolutely loved them. Beans and potato salad also good. This is a class act done very professionally inside and out.“
“My pal Pasquale Wong the Rodeo Clown from New Hampshire is here on winter break and wanted to meet me at the European Market Deli for sandwiches. Now, I wouldn't normally drive all the way to Castro Valley from Napa for a free sandwich but when Pasquale said "European Market Deli" I was all in! They're the best in the east bay, Castro Valley for sure. Plus, I wanted to hear about the Grand Nationals, and how he pulled Twiller Bunkinstick of the back of the rank bull, without getting run over.Man-O-Man those sandwiches were great. 5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆“
“This Korean market used to be in Downtown Oakland and a few years ago to moved to Montclair which is my neighborhood so I personally was happy it moved there.EM Deli has a wide range of Korean and Asian products ranging from meats, noodles, rices, some veggies and a variety of sauces and spices. There is some prepared cooked foods (fried rice, kimpap, etc.)They have a meat section which has Korean bbq grade cuts (thinly sliced steak, pork for hotpot or Korean bbq)“
“Culinary Excellence was fabulous to work with when planning our 40th year Anniversary Gala. Jessica, Chris, and their entire bar and serving team were professional, very flexible, accommodating, kind, and easy to work with. Jessica and Chris were able to predict and fullfill needs we had at the last minute as they cropped up, without hesitation. The food, from the passed appetizers like the filo and chicken skewers, beautiful, light, and tasty salad, to their chicken breast, sweet potato, and brussel sprouts dish (as well as the yummy risotto) were delectable! Did I mention the gorgeous floral arrangements Jessica and her team created from pictures we sent her and which were visually stimulating - WOW! Thank you so much- you all helped make our special occasion memorable and remarkable! We had a blast working with you guys and look forward to working with you in the future! “
“I called PINX last minute. Should have called them first! Beginning with the first contact their representative jumped right in understanding my needs and offering creative suggestions. The onsite team was professional, flexible, gracious... and the food was delicious! PINX is now my #1 choice for events big and small!“
“I've only had takeout, but it's always been good. Enough options for the whole family to find something they like. I always get the Chicago Dog and usually save half for later. Very big portions!DO NOT SKIP DESSERT. I order it knowing i will have it for breakfast and a snack the next day. The apple bread pudding is one of the best things I have ever tasted in my life, and that's not hyperbole. The sweet and salty flavors come together with soft and crunchy textures and become something so delicious. I'd eat it every day!“
“Simple Elegance provided a great array of appetizers for a retirement celebration last week in the Veterans Memorial Hall in Danville. They worked within our budget to provide delicious and beautifully displayed choices, even finding options to accommodate some special dietary needs. I've used them several times and would not hesitate to recommend them again. They go above and beyond.“
“Real tasty suya with authentic Nigerian feel to it. Great customer service, and those portions sure worth the price too. Shout out to Tobi, really nice dude.Features: Every Covid protocol were totally adhered to. The seating arrangements, restroom cleanliness, so on point!“
“I like the pastries here but I usually come Sunday morning and they are either late to open - or not open it seems today. Also the pastries are extremely limited and seem left over at that time. I mean just close Sunday I guess. I doubt I'm coming back again that time.“
“Alfajores! These are delicious and great with tea. They have a nice variety of alfajores but other cookies as well. The young gentlemen that helped me was very kind. A bit tricky to find and get into the location, but appreciate the safety precautions.“
“The Beli Deli took care of our catering for our Russian/ Jewish wedding. From the moment we went for a tasting in their commercial kitchen we were hooked on the quality and freshness of these foods. Luckily, my Russian speaking MIL was able to coordinate a lot of the details with this vendor. It would have been difficult to manage with the language barrier otherwise. We were delighted with the final result and the caterer was all inclusive which kept our cost low during historical inflation. They brought and setup all of our tables, flatware, table settings and food. It turned out really beautiful and we're so grateful that they took great care of all our wedding guests. I highly recommend if you are looking to host your event Russian style!“
“I'm from the East Coast (NY) and recently my Brother in-law and I visited a few cities in the state of California. First, we spent a few days visiting family in Los Angeles and Santa Ana. At the last minute of booking the trip, my Brother in-law decided he wanted to visit an old college buddy named Roderick (Roddy) in Oakland. He mentioned that Roddy had a BBQ restaurant named Roderick's BBQ. So the plan was to fly down from Santa Ana to San Francisco, make the drive to Oakland and spend our final evening in California hanging out with Roddy at his restaurant. I didn't know what to expect because I had never met him. Well, he rolled out the red carpet along with some of the finest food (not just BBQ) you will ever have in your life. You name it, we had it, and it all tasted incredible. Ribs, Tri-Tip, BBQ Chicken, Hot Links, Fried Chicken, Fried Catfish, French Fries, Mac & Cheese, and Potato Salad. The Ribs were tender and perfectly cooked, as was the BBQ Chicken. The Tri-Tip was tender and just melted in your mouth. The Hot Links had the perfect amount of flavor and heat. The fried chicken and catfish was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tasted great. The french fries had a light dusting of their in-house seasoning that was absolutely amazing. The Potato Salad and Mac & Cheese was incredible as well and to wash it all down was some of the most amazing Kool-Aid ever. The type of Kool-Aid that takes you back to your childhood. You better believe the next time I'm on the West Coast, I'm getting me some Roderick's BBQ. This place is a hidden gem and if you live in the Oakland area, you should run (not walk) to Roderick's BBQ immediately and try some of this amazing food. If you live 1-2 hours away, it's definitely worth the drive. Pull up a chair, enjoy the food, and tell Roddy that Chris and Sean sent you and he'll take good care of you. Plus, he's a great guy, a great storyteller, but he's an even better cook.Kudos to Roderick's BBQ!!!“
“Ivy is a great cook and great support for our parties. She is always willing to help, provides suggestions, she just gets things done with no supervision at all. You just tell her what you need once, and she makes good notes, and she will just get it done. We have hired her service twice, and planning to hire her for a lot more in the future. Highly recommended!“
“I have been cooking at Kitchen by the Hour for over seven months now. My area is always clean when I come in, everything works perfectly, and the owner has been very gracious to me since I’ve been cooking there. I would highly recommend Kitchen by the Hour!. My name is Jeff, and my company is Dani’s Fanci Fudge. Thanks for everything Ching!“
“Tried their double date and mango - both delicious, creamy and genuinely flavorful. Faloodeh shirazi, unfortunately, was a bit disappointing. Something was off, maybe an after taste of tap water?Saffron and Rose on Westwood in LA is still my favorite Persian ice cream. I always get their faloodeh or cucumber. Golnazar's faloodeh doesn't quite hold up. My husband loves saffron and pistachio so we're to try that next.“
“I can only speak to their catering menu. These guys regularly cater to my job.Sandwich is good portions and I really love that they keep everything separated, i.e. lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard. Are all kept apart and you can assemble your sandwich the way you like.“
“Literally just burning gas looking for a place to eat, before I noticed this East Bay eats sign. I go in and sift through the menus of DIFFERENT kitchens. Yes different kitchens. I come upon Sacred Pig, a BBQ spot. Low and behold the food was good. I ordered a 3 meat combo, chicken, ribs, and pork belly. Sides were mac&cheese, and potatoe salad. The ribs were in my opinion cooked perfectly. The pork belly delicious. The potato salad was a hit. An what can I say about that yard bird, off the grill so yum yum. Definitely made it into my top 5 BBQ spots. Now I have to buy an energy drink because I'm losing this 1v2 against Itis, and Sandman.“
“My fiancé and I came to try Snow Fresca at Castro Valley Marketplace! We were looking around inside the marketplace for them but they were actually located outdoors where a lot of the seating is!We got here and filled out the form with our choices. I got a medium sized mango and guava with strawberry and mango bits with condensed milk and vanilla ice cream. I think my fiancé and I could have shared a medium one, especially after a meal! It's not 100% exactly what I would find in Hawaii but it was still good! We loved that there was an option to add ice cream. My fiancé got banana ice cream with his and he absolutely loved it! There were clumps of ice at the bottom, probably from the shaved ice being pushed down as they were making it. The syrup was inconsistent - some areas didn't have any syrup and was just ice. My ice cream as all melted by the time I got it, but my fiancé's ice cream was fine. Odd because I got my order first! It's still a good dessert place to stop by if I have a craving!“
