“Fantastic ice cream! We had the Kauai Pie, which is Kona Coffee, Chocolate Fudge, Macadamia Nuts and Chunks of coconut. Extremely yummy! A scoop as of June 2024 is $6, and it’s pretty large.

The sitting is by a busy road so not the most romantic.“

“I typically go to Michell's down the street. I was recommended to give this creamery a try. I ordered a single cup with strawberry and matcha. Not overly sweet, nice texture, and very smoothly creamy. I like the place that is dog friendly. A bonus plus, they use all compostable cups and scoop sticks. However, the price can be more competitively affordable to the community. Maybe under $5 for single!!“

“I'm so glad we took a chance on Normans Ice Cream. It looked like a random hole in the wall. They had several unique flavors and their Sundae had literally all the ingredients I consider the perfect sundae. They even added sprinkles to it for me even though it was not part of their Sundae. The couple working here were also very welcoming and sweet. I wish I could give more stars.“

“Arguably one of the freshest ice creams in town. It is a bit strange to describe the ice cream as "fresh", but yes, the ingredient is fresh and natural. So the ice cream tastes that way. The strawberry ice cream in particular stood out. The tea time ice cream is also amazing with the aroma of lavender and earl grey. The vanilla ice cream also has the real beans. I love the local feel of the shop as well! Definitely will come back to try other flavors.“

“My local friend suggested we stop by Salt & Straw and I am so glad she did. Stopping for dessert gave my group a chance to linger outside and chat.

I am also pleased that the server suggested that the pup cup was an option for me as a non-refined sugar person. It was nice to be part of the group and also see pups having the same thing. :)

“Our friends told us about Polly Ann's ice cream, so the next time we drove to the city, we decided to finally try it.
There was a decent line of customers in front of the shop, we had to wait about 15 minutes, but it was ok. Very understandable.
They have a big list of delicious flavors. My husband and I got coffee & Oreo cookies, and l also got a scoop of cherry vanilla. Cherry vanilla was good! Overall, we thought, that it was just an average ice cream, nothing special. Yes, the options are very impressive, but it didn't taste the best I have ever tried. I love how much they pay attention to the presentation of the crepes especially when they add cute little faces on each of them. I've been coming here for years now and I can say that they have always made their crepes still as good.

I always get the nutella and strawberries crepe with chocolate ice cream, whipped cream and cornflakes, but they have a lot of different combinations and you can customize it yourself too!“

“If you love gelato, you’ll love this place. If you want gelato in San Francisco California, you’ll wanna stop here. They featured unique flavors of gelato made on site that changed daily. I had the medium cup, which gives me four different scoops of gelato and all of them were to die for. The creamiest gelato I’ve ever had and it’s highly recommended by the locals.“

“We stopped in after lunch to grab a pint for later that evening. I was a little surprised at how expensive a pint was ($15!) but then I was FURIOUS when I got home and saw that the ice cream was also *vegan*. Never in my life would I have knowingly paid $15 for vegan ice cream.

Then we ate it, and it was some of the best ice cream I've ever had, which is even more upsetting because now I'll have to pay $15 for vegan ice cream again. We got the California Cabin flavor.“

“We found the old school soda fountain atmosphere of this place super charming, and decided to stop in. Once we did, we were pleasantly shocked to see they have a Hot Butterscotch on their menu. As hot chocolate fanatics, we were immediately intrigued by the Hot Butterscotch and decided to try one with their toasted fluff.

Wow! Despite never having a Hot Butterscotch, this hit all the notes we were hoping for! The toasted fluff topping was also amazing, and was nicely scorched, adding some caramelization flavor to the drink. I'm not sure if butterscotch isn't that popular or what, but I don't know why these drinks aren't more widely available.

If you love hot chocolate or butterscotch like we do, you have to try the Hot Butterscotch!

“One of the last gems of San Francisco, a treasure to be remember as the times change and people become more picky. Those who don't know this history should know that Gelato Classico was a chain that has been around since the 80s slowly dissolving until this was the last location left in downtown. I hope people start to appreciate the history of this great city as it is slowly eroded away by time and gentrification. Some of the best gelato you can get in America hands down. “Came here searching for a yoghurt drink. Ordered the avocado yoghurt smoothie and it was amazing!! Highly recommend it they put lots of avocado in it’s creamy and buttery and the yoghurt is sour and sweet and thick - perfect. My friends said this is very similar to the avocado yoghurt smoothie in Taiwan - very authentic.
