“Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 VIBE: - service is so kind and welcoming, they were understanding when I had lots of questions over their large roll menu - large sushi bar in the middle where the sushi is made - the tvs were all playing something different and I think that's cool FOOD: - best sushi in Emeryville! (5/5) - rainbow roll is a CA roll with different fish as toppings - caterpillar roll is a CA roll with avocado as toppings (I will keep trying their menu and venture outside CA rolls haha) - their large beer deal is worth it!“
“This place is consistently amazing. The manager is so sweet and very accommodating of my young kids. The workers take care of us like family. Food is delicious and you can tell that they try their best instead of sloppily throwing together something. Everything we ordered was very flavorful. If you're in the area and craving both Korean and Japanese, this is your joint...crunchy onigiri goodness stuffed with juicy Korean bbq meat. Yum!“
“Hands-down, the best Ramen I’ve ever had in the Bay Area! Excellent customer service everyone was attentive, and very good listeners. Energy and the vibe 10 out of 10! I am Asian and I’m not into that fatty high cholesterol, Ramen with lots of MSG just “for taste”. Plenty of options for appetizers and my kids loved them all! Would always come back here for more.“
“Niku is a Michelin-starred steakhouse and cocktail bar in the Design District that offers an intersection of Japanese and American cuisines. Executive chef Dustin Falcon (ex The French Laundry, Lazy Bear) focuses on products from local famers combined with the best in class American and A5 Japanese wagyu, the highest grade of beef due to its high levels of marbling. If your credit card can handle it, opt for the $265 USD A5 Wagyu tasting, the best steak experience of my life. These exclusive cuts of beef were cooked to perfection on Falcon’s custom binchotan charcoal and wood-fired grill. The cocktails are also on point at Niku, with a short list of Japanese-inspired twists on classics together with well-balanced classic drinks. For dessert, follow Alexis’ lead and order the Chocolate Miso, a spectacular brownie made with wagyu fat! Coupled with wagyu fat caramel and miso ice cream, your taste buds will be overloaded with joy.“
“Incredible flavors and a lovely, cozy dining experience. We felt so well taken care of by Tricia and our sushi chef and they made celebrating our anniversary really memorable. The unique flavor combinations and quality of the fish were so good. Some of our favorites from the oki: the ora king salmon, the sea bream, the otoro and the sashimi salad with the shiso flowers. The chef explained each course and paced our meal so we never felt rushed. The sake selection is awesome as well with really unique and different flavors like the takacho "regal hawk" that would be great on its own for sipping and the very plummy ume suppai. Next time I might pick the chisai and try more supplements. We left feeling comfortably full and satisfied.“
“It was always pleasant to experience chef making your the nigiri in front of you.My favorite dish from the menu was:Honmaguro Toro Nigiri ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Anago Nigiri ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kamasu Nigiri ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Hojicha Ice Cream ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Recommended to visit this restaurant to experience high quality Japanese cuisine!“
“We had a wonderful experience! The staff were professional, friendly, informative, and even helped cater to our specific dining needs as a family. A la carte extras (from same omakase menu) could be ordered and were every fairly priced. We would 100% recommend.“
“One of my favorite sushi experiences ever, and I've been to Japan. The service was so exceptional that I almost started to feel bad. The food was fresh, innovative, and incredibly fresh. The vibe and ambiance were great. 10/10 would highly recommend if you can afford it.“
“Such an easy 5/5. One of the tastiest and most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in SF. The price is very reasonable for the experience you get. The chefs are incredibly kind and shared their stories about the food. I can’t wait to go back.“
“The Chicken Katsu and Pork Katsu are fried to perfection; I've had katsu at over 40 restaurants in the Bay Area, Japan, and Hawaii, and these are among the best in terms of texture and crunch. Unfortunately, it isn't very flavorful.I picked up this order from a ghost kitchen location.“
