Cafe Okawari Reviews
Very good Egg Sando, closest I’ve had to the ones I used to always get in Japan. My only critique, the bread could be fresher. The bread on mine was a bit dense/ chewy. Wish it was fluffier. Egg filling was absolutely delicious.
The curry was really delicious, service was good. This place is small and super busy at lunchtime, so our food came before we could figure out a place to sit.
Great food and good service. Highly recommended!

Cafe Okawari provides a cozy atmosphere with a calming ambiance, making it a nice place to relax. The restaurant is known for its Japanese cuisine, including popular dishes like the Egg Salad Sando, juicy Katsu Chicken sandwiches, and flavorful Chicken Katsu Curry. Customers often praise the chicken katsu sando as the best in SF, featuring soft bread and a crispy, juicy chicken thigh patty. The katsu is consistently crispy on the outside and tender inside, with the right amount of sauce and fresh shredded lettuce to enhance the milk bread. The cafe also offers potato korroke with good crunch and flavor, along with fun, fluffy milk bread. Coffee and tea drinks, such as the hojicha latte, are available for a quick refresh. While some dishes may lack seasoning, they maintain good taste and consistency. The friendly staff makes customers feel comfortable. The menu includes fruit sandos with fresh, seasonal fruits and refreshing yuzu soda, making Cafe Okawari a great spot for a meal or casual gathering.
