“Denny’s right by my home, lovely spot (all things considered). Denny’s always feels understaffed but the workers there are always killing it.Shoutout to Wendy who is an amazing server and keeping her smile up even during the graveyard shift!“
“As soon as my husband and I walked in, the owner welcomed us with a warm smile. We both tried the cheeseburger, the fries, the chicken nuggets, and jalapeño poppers. The food was delicious and the service is excellent. We will definitely be back the next time we visit.“
“Cozy little Diner in Nob Hill with a great atmosphere and delicious food. Also love the eclectic collection of coffee mugs for patrons to use. Food was served quickly and was very high quality, and the staff were super friendly. I’m out here for work so will make this a regular spot for however long I am out here.“
“If you want a good burger, this is the place to be!Personally, this is my favorite casual burger spot! Taste like home, the burgers are great, the fries are great, the drinks are fizzy! They even have (2) veggie options and beef bacon!I can't tell you how much i love this place, and the owner is one of the friendliest people I've met! Highly recommendVegetarian options: Garden burgerBeyond burger“
“The 5th Wheel in San Leandro is a true go-to diner! It's all about fast, fresh food that keeps the community coming back. Our order was quick, fresh, and you can tell they're popular by the bustling scene. Loads of to-go orders, too. Here's what I got: Two eggs scrambled with cheese Wheat toast Super delicious hash browns Country fried steak All cooked to perfection. If you're after quality eats in a friendly atmosphere, this is the spot. Highly recommend!“
“Good rating because it’s my favorite and I come here all the time. But whenever I order and it’s the owner that takes my order: it’s late, cold, and wrong. Dude what the hell! Your staff is trained better than you. There was no rush and nothing complicated was ordered.“
“Very good diner. Has lots of breakfast options, I always say I'll try something else but I always stick with a chefs mess. Never went for lunch but they have that too. They have vegan options too! It is down the street, a couple blocks, from Wise Sons which I also recommend.“
“Of course I am back at one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area Cafe La Taza. And I can't tell you how blown away by this south western salad that I added shrimp. OMG!!! Best salad ever. So big I could have it for lunch and dinner. It is always a pleasure being here with the staff and even cust. Just has that warm at home feeling. I always want to be around this vibe! Hasta la proxima mi familia!!!!“
“This was my first time going to Prospect Park Grille. I got there at 12:20 for breakfast but it ended at 11:30. The lady taking orders was nice enough to go ahead and cook my daughter and myself breakfast. I had the grit special with bacon. The food was good and reasonable priced. I would definitely go back again.Vegetarian options: Tofu“
“Jim's Diner offers a consistently enjoyable experience with great food, excellent service, and the ultimate diner ambience. The California scramble, California Benedict, and corned beef hash were all delicious, accompanied by decent house coffee. Service was attentive, and our order arrived accurately within 15 minutes. For those craving a classic diner experience, Jim's is the place to be.“
“We came here for breakfast and had a fantastic meal. We ordered the buttermilk pancakes, New York everything bagel platter, potato pancakes, banana rum soufflé pancakes, and 2 sunny side up eggs with home fries and chorizo. We really enjoyed the banana rum soufflé pancakes, and the buttermilk pancakes are the best pancakes we’ve ever had, as they’re so thick, light, and fluffy. We will definitely come back again when we’re back in Berkeley!“
“This place really deserves 3.8 rating, which isn't to say it is bad at all, it's exactly what you expect of this style of restaurant. The Pinecrest dinner is clean, the service is happy and helpful. It brought me back to the classic regular restaurants of my younger days: good food, bottomless coffee, all with a smile. The egg dishes were great. The French toast was average, with exactly 2 slices of bread, but zero touch of fresh fruit with it.Kid-friendliness: Totally a place to bring kids of all ages. Roomy and friendly service for everyone.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. Ground-level, flat surface. The restaurant itself is roomy, so can accommodate wheelchairs of different varieties.I just don't know about the bathroom space.“
“We came here on a Sunday with a group of 8 and the service was amazing. The food was good too, a lot of options. I don't live in this area so may not go often but it was nice to try a different breakfast spot. The parking isn't horrible either.“
“The food is really good. The staff is super nice but the service is not highly efficient. Some long pauses occur throughout your dining experience, but in the end- it is totally worth it.Also worth noting that the patron created bustle is loud enough to make it difficult to chat across the table.“
“This place has been on Market for almost 2 decades, & while the owners have changed a couple times (I think), they still have the same delicious breakfast. The staff are super thoughtful, kind, & attentive. It's a greasy spoon/hole in the wall kind of place, & the bathroom didn't lock this last time I went, but it's delightful, a nice little comfort food spot to dine by yourself or a couple friends.“
“Ridiculously great, staff was outstanding helpful and accommodating. We had my wife's 60th birthday or like she likes to say her 45th there. It was a great location and the food was above all expectations. We had a private event and they were helpful from start to finish. This is a class act would highly recommended“
“Fear not! David's is a legit *old* school diner. I was welcomed in. The coffee was delicious and hot. My breakfast was yummy and arrived hot. Good sausage. What they may need is more of a crowd to boost the energy. Only you can help with that, let's “
“This was the best food we had all weekend other then one other spot. Breakfast was very flavorful and came out hot. Cooked perfectly and the lady working was the sweetest. I highly recommend especially if you want a good "home cooked" “
“Worth a stop if you're in the area and need a late night bite to eat!Came in at around 10pm on a Tuesday night and it was pretty quiet with about 2 or 3 tables occupied. Couldn't see any staff at first so we sat ourselves down and ordered using the QR code, but someone came by shortly after to bring us water. Decor was on the kitschy side, with time-worn photos and paintings adorning the walls and fake grape bunches festooned across the ceiling rafters. The linguiça breakfast plate with scrambled eggs was filling. They were really nice about letting me substitute French toast for the home fries and toast so I really appreciated that. Grilled cheese sandwich came with tomatoes and onion and was just okay. The onion rings were excellent—perfectly crispy and a good ratio of batter to onion. Strawberry milkshake was decent and about what you'd expect from a diner. The spicy verde sauce they have in bottles on the tables was very tasty and paired really well with our savory items.Overall, I enjoyed Grubstake a lot. The low-key but courteous and quick service, Portuguese selections on the menu, and old greasy spoon vibes made for a memorable experience.Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options so depends on if you are okay with a grilled cheese sandwich, veggie burger, or breakfast foods such as pancakes and eggs. The main proteins in most dishes were meat and it didn't look like substitutions were readily available, so you would probably have to ask them to simply leave the meat out if you wanted any of those.“
“It was recommended by my resort and it did not disappoint our server was a very nice man and we were greeted promptly. The place was a flashback to 1950 but only the good stuff. The food was fresh and syrup was warmed up for my French toast: patty melt was yummy too: prices were fair and reasonable. I do want to go back for milkshakes and floats“
“The bbq chicken sandwich was great . Crispy fries too.Breakfast was just as good. They keep you coffee full without needing to ask.Large menu and very quick service the four times I went .Nice place will be returning.Parking: Parking was easy“
“The breakfast pancakes are amazing and much less expensive than iHOP. They have a light Slim Slam breakfast which is very good too! The staff are polite and hard working. The bathroom is clean. Decent parking and right off the freeway.Dietary restrictions: Slim Slam breakfast available and sugar free syrup, salads and senior menu.Parking: The only downside is the location is not in the best neighborhood, it is easily accessed off the freeway though.Kid-friendliness: Big restaurant with plenty of room.“
“We popped in for a quick bite before a music show at the Regency Ballroom (couple blocks up the street)We were greeted by Antonia, who has a good sense of humor and uses it.We had some onion rings, chicken tenders& mozzarella sticks. All very healthy !Also had soup. The tomatoes basil soup was surprisingly ? GREAT. As well as the chicken noodles soup which was packed w/ chicken. Will go again !“
“Gersón gave us a great experience with a smile. I ordered online and he brought the food to the table, even waiting to bring it out until the other dishes ordered in-restuarant were ready. Excellent friendly service by this man. Food came out extremely quickly and was the quality I expected. Will definitely be coming back.“
“I haven’t been to Rudy’s in ages. I used to coach gymnastics behind #Pixar for years and I must have raised myself on Classic American Breakfast before chicken Apple was cool. For me this place is nostalgic and an American Classic! It’s 110% on the money as usual. Highly recommend you make this your go to breakfast spot if you are just visiting or a local. Team #CantFail Por Vida ❤️Vegetarian options: Vegan Friendly ❤️“
