Ok so this spot looks basic and is easy to walk past, but tbh, the places with the best food usually aren't flashy. This place is one of those. It has a diner like set up and those classic Filipino dishes taste like they're homemade. The pork Tocino with garlic rice and eggs is my Filipino go to dish and this did not disappoint. Hands down, my favorite Filipino joint in SF. No frills, cafeteria-style home cooking. Everything they make is good and I can't say that about a lot of places. The dinuguan (chocolate meat) and the adobo ng pusit (squid adobo) are really good. And they don't price gouge like a lot of restaurants in the Bay Area! Rough neighborhood but very much worth the trip.

This is my new favorite place for authentic Filipino food! It’s a 3-minute walk from the 16th & Mission BART station. The prices are great for the portion you get. I’ve tried the kare kare and daing na bangus and they remind me of my parents’ cooking. I think this place deserves way more hype.
