Poc-Chuc Restaurant offers authentic Mayan cuisine in a humble setting. Fresh handmade tortillas are a highlight, and meats are juicy. The menu features dishes like the Mayan platter, poc-chuc, and cochinita pibil. The poc-chuc is grilled beef at its best, and the cochinita pibil is served in a nice big bowl with shredded pork shoulder in a perfect broth. While the exterior may appear unassuming, the food shines, with flavorful hot sauce and some of the best salsa in the city. The watermelon agua fresca is also absolutely amazing.
